Called and had the wood delivered, he said the wood was seasoned and dry. I took his word for it since he assured me that the wood was dry. He delivered as I was leaving for work. When I got home and began to stack. The wood was wet as if it had been rained on for a month. Can’t hardly get kindling to start. Not going by this man’s word again.

Dean delivered to me this last week, and I spent the next 3 days loading 2 cords of wood into my shed. He included a mix of maple and fir and when I started to burn it the quality was excellent. He even threw in a packet of firestarters, which definitely help get the party started.

Bought a cord of maple from Dean just now. Bottom line, the wood is excellent… Full cord, clean, bone dry, really pretty wood. The price was a bit higher than I have seen from some ($ 425/​cord) but this was in January so can’t complain too much and I am happy to spend a bit more for this quality. Will use Dean again.

I bought some great wood from this gentleman about 10 years ago which we used mainly for camping/​recreational use. It was FABULOUS. Well cut, well seasoned, burned HOT and LONG with no sparks.
This past spring we sold our city house, moved out a bit and now have a wood stove which we use to heat our downstairs. Of course we wanted more of the same great wood.
The first time I called (mid-​day on a weekday) he told me he was busy bowling and he would call me back. I waited a week and never heard anything.
A week later I tried again (also mid-​day weekday) and he told me he was busy shopping at Costco and would call me back.
Again I never heard anything.
Two calls, two weeks, two promises to be called back, two failed promises.
I found somebody else.
I would not have posted a negative review if the guy had just said, «No, sorry I don’t deliver there» or whatever. No problem. But don’t tell me you’re too busy bowling or shopping, promise to call back and then don’t. RUDE.

Dean delivered to me last week and I couldn’t be more thrilled! 1. Courteous, cute ol codger that knows a TON about wood and the biz. 2. worked around my schedule which let me tell you is insane 3. THE BEST WOOD EVER! well seasoned!
sent me off with great instructions on how to take care of the wood in our wet weather, cross stack it, get some air on it and keep it covered so when you want a fire it will light right up! (and he left me with free fire starters which didn’t hurt!)
