The wings are really good but the waitress didn’t keep up with our drinks and we had to wait with empty glasses(gasp!) a few times.

I’m from New York, but was traveling to Boston this weekend w/my boyfriend & got stuck in a blizzard — The roads were so bad we had to pull over & park– we decided to wait out the storm at one of the local bars & just happened to stop in here– The service was amazing & friendly– the bartender made a snicker bar drink that was pretty amazing & then we had the .25 cent wings— half buffalo & half honey barbeque & can I just tell you that they were so good, there was not a wing left on the plate by the time we left! lol, they were very saucy & crispy. The bar overall had a nice laid back atmosphere. Overall great experience! Glad the wind blew us here :-)

If i was still in college or under the age of 25 I would love this place. I went and had really bad service. I’m not into country music so the vibe of the bar isn’t my taste. There are video games everywhere which was annoying. It must be nice to sit at the windows in the summer though to be fair.

I was carded by the hostess when I came in for lunch on a Tuesday… LUNCH…on a TUESDAY… at a restaurant full of kids. Applebee’s style menu. Burger was fine, nothing spectacular. Not a place I will revisit.

If I could leave 0 I would. I told the hostess and the server that I am allergic to gluten. Both the hostess and the server assured me that what I ordered was free of gluten. It certainly was not! The food wasn’t even that good. I ordered nachos(I was told they were corn chips that were not fried), and they were nothing special. This restaurant made me so sick! I wish the staff knew what they were talking about.

Pat’s game for the environment. Definitely lived up to the hype of being a wild sports bar. Beer was cold and flowing. Food was okay. nothing to write home about. all in all a good experience

Good beer selection! The fajitas were alright, and considering they were half price, I wasn’t going to bitch too much about the underdone onions and peppers. BUT… avoid the«salsa» at all costs! What they present as salsa is really just cut up tomatoes and onions. It’s some low rent crap. Also, make your own chips. It isn’t hard. I shouldn’t have to endure chips from a bag and some pedestrian salsa at a restaurant. Also…clean the vomit off the bathroom stall wall. It’s unappetizing.

It looks like a pub, but they actually play country music. That detail kind of threw me off when I first walked in. It’s definitely a meat market on the weekends. Also, seems like it’s mainly early twenty-somethings, so a bit too young for me.

Good but nothing great. I had the steak tips with rice pilaf and asparagus. It came with a salads that had really yummy cornbread croutons. The steak was cooked the way I asked for it to be, can’t really mess up rice. And I got no choice on side veggie so asparagus it was. The environment was OK, seemed like a Applebee’s that was a wee bit run down in the respect of a bunch of random crap hanging from the walls and ceiling. The service… Meh? The server came to our table all of three times. Once to take our order, once to bring our drinks and food(which came out at same time) and a third time to bring us check. I asked her for an opinion on what was the best seller or her favorite and her response was literally«I am Mexican, so I only eat the quesadillas and nachos ha-ha»… Not very helpful or knowledgeable about the products or menu… I’ll be back once I’ve tried everything else in the area :/

Great place to grab food and drinks! First visit– Sat at a booth with a group of friends. We all ordered drinks and entrees. Our waiter Christian was such a sweetheart and put up with all our requests. I hadn’t had a burger in ages and ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger, gosh was the beef patty so juicy and delicious. Burger comes with fries and a couple of onions rings, perfection! My second favorite was my friends mac n’ cheese bbq pulled pork sandwich, amazing! I came from school that day and had my backpack. We wanted to keep watching the game, I asked one of the securities if they could watch over my backpack, they were so nice and funny! Second visit– My roommate and I wanted to watch a basketball game and world series as we had some drinks, so we decided to sit at the bar. It was relatively early when we got there, compared to the previous time we were there. The bartender was someone different than last time, but she was even nicer than Patrick! She was very attentive to all of her customers and made great drinks! Whiskey’s also has daily specials, cant wait to try some of them!

I have a friend that happens to be madly in love with this place so I find myself here pretty often when she’s in town. For downtown Boston you cant beat the price of drinks and food, however please know you get what you pay for. The food is mediocre and def frozen but its cheap and compliments the beer you will mostly likely get. They dont have a wide variety of cider so thats a downside, but the service is always nice and generally attentive. Its a great joint to meet up and see friends. Theres not much dancing that goes on and its set up more like a restaurant so be weary the standing room is pretty minimal.

So I come here with some friends, and one of them orders an Old Fashioned. The bartender says«Sorry, we don’t do those» Bruh, you can’t call yourself Whiskeys and not make an Old Fashioned. LAME, minus one star That being said, this place was pretty awesome. This is totally a legit sports bar to be at — tons of TV’s, so if there’s a particular game you wanna see, you will definitely find it here. I ordered the ribeye, and it was great. Boston knows their stuff. The croutons in the salad were slightly stale, but not the end of the world. If you’re from out of town like I am, totally check this place out when you can.

I’m writing this review at 3:30 am because I ate the food at Whiskeys for the first time last night. My friends and I are attempting to evaluate the wing specials at different bars in the city all this week. The wings here tasted okayyy… I’d give them a 5⁄10. They were something like .25 each, and tasted like just that. Pretty much the same taste coming back up. I’ll skip these next time. Serves me right though. Good draught selection though!

Whiskey is the standard mainstream disaster that you expect from a trip down Boylston street. Large and commercial you will find yourself listening to Top 40 songs that have a twang of country in them or anything else that has blonde long haired girls in daisy dukes and cowboy boots singing a la Miranda lambert. Overall you will wait for a while for a drink, or a shot, and this place takes a good precedence of upholding the commonwealth standards of Massachusetts as your try to order a shot after 1:15am. All in all it’s a fine place to meet an Australian Tinder date that just came from a Red Sox game but otherwise, but in general there’s better finds even on this street.

ate here with a group of people a few days ago. half of us hadn’t had dinner, so we came hungry while the rest of our group just had drinks. not eating meat, my options were side salads, a salmon burger and a portobello burger. i didn’t trust salad or esp. salmon at a bar, so I opted for the portobello burger, which was so terrible that i had maybe a ¼ of it and dabbled in the fries/rings that came along instead. even the fries, though they look quite good, were sub-par. my friends had steaks here, which they rated anywhere between a C+ and a B. nothing stellar. if you’re looking for a place to grab food & drinks, there are way better options for you in this neighborhood! i’d stick with drinks only at Whiskey’s. it should just be «Whiskey’s Spirits” — leave the food to the pro’s please!

ATMOSPHERE –Basically your typical sports bar. –Tons of TV, a great soundtrack, and an all around good crowd DRINKS — Personal. pitchers. Yes you read that right. For around $ 8 you can have your own pitcher of beer! The downside, the only beer you can have in your pitcher is Miller. –Solid craft beer selection at a good price –Strong margaritas and AMAZING bloody mary’s! FOOD –I always go for the Club sandwich. Its HUGE, has bacon on it, and comes with TONS of fries –Ive never been to Whiskeys for brunch but I do know the brunch menu is amazing. Pancakes, waffles, omelets and tons of other options all available at a good price OVERALL — Whiskeys is the kind of place you go at the end of the night when you’re hitting the«I need food now» stage. –The servers are friendly, there is tons of beer, and before I forget their $.25 wings are AMAZING
