We came here for brunch with our toddlers. It was very kid friendly for a high end brunch spot in the South End. But prices were very high, even for the location, and my burger was very dry. The chocolate chip pancakes were very good.

Visited Stephi’s on Tremont after receiving an OpenTable gift card. Unfortunately, we won’t be back. My best summation is this: the place lacks blood. The hostess is on her phone; the bartender is plain unfriendly, the drinks perfunctory; the atmosphere is blanched; the roving manager seems more like a restaurant fanboy than someone invested in the guest experience. A few things made the visit passable, however. When we got to our table, our server(Deb?) was warm, fun, and attentive; when bussers or runners were tableside, they too were warm; and the salmon and the salad we had were nicely presented and flavorful, if a touch routine.

Not great! Super loud with no noise barrier between the bar and restaurant. I couldn’t hear the person next to me or across from me. The waitstaff was not attentive at all and drinks were flat. Appetizers arrived. We had the crab Rangoon and duck rolls. Both were blah. I had the tuna appetizer and this was blah as well. Really needed some seasoning. My father in law had the bolognese and said it was not great. This is a man that never complains and how can you ruin spaghetti and meat sauce? My husband had the chicken parm and commented he’s had better from our local sub shop. Overall quality was not good for the price. There are so many options in the south end. Between the service, the blah food and noise factor not worth it. Go someplace else!

Got here for brunch, the apps were amazing. Get the goat cheese and bread app. The burger is really over-rated I’d suggest stay away. The ambience is above casual, its a nice date place. Well decked up if you’re getting in for a meal around the holidays

Staple brunch spot in a prominent area of Boston. Service was fine, décor on par with all the modern restaurants in the area. 4 stars for having gluten free bread to switch in to any sandwich. Boston seems to have a lot of gluten free friendly eateries. The world needs more of this! Awesome Bloody Mary options with a checklist of items to add to the drink. Got a slim Jim in mine.

I usually love going to Stephi’s. Their Bloody Mary with all the fix-ins is like an appetizer. It’s absolutely delicious! I recently went to Stephi’s and was told the wait for seating inside was 1 hour. I was offered seating outside, but I was not told that you had to order an appetizer. My friends and I were only interested in drinks. Our server was a little rude and told us that it was necessary to order at least an appetizer after we had ordered our drinks outside. Disappointed in today’s service.

Probably one of the least flavorful places … Lamb that was so bland I couldn’t finish it … And a salad that said had crusted chicken which was literally Wendy’s checking nuggets on salad… Living in south end I would clearly avoid this place and walk a few more blocks in either direction

This used to be a solid place for brunch but we ran into several issues. We walked in around 10:30 am on a Sunday. The place was busy, but I have seen it worst. As we waited for our table we proceeded to the bar to start off our brunch with a drink. The bartenders had the worst attitude and they were extremely rude. Managers should take note, these people are the face of your restaurant and this particular face was rude, unwelcoming and had a terrible attitude. I found a space to step to the bar and I asked for a drink menu, the guy instead of handing it to me just placed it at the bar. When we asked for the build your own Bloody Marys he did the same thing. The person sitting at the bar grab the menu for me and handed it over. We finally sit at our table order bloody Marys and our brunch. The food came out first, we were half way through our meal when finally our drinks came. The waitress did not apologize or provide an explanation. The food was ok. Husband got the meatloaf hash and I classic eggs benny. Nothing memorable. Everything was cold. This place has lost its luster. We don’t think we will be back.

Went here with the boyfriend to grab a bite to eat for dinner. It was late on a weeknight so we were able to be seated right away. We were pretty hungry so we decided to start with an order of the duck confit spring rolls. He loves duck, while I am not the biggest fan, but we both loved this appetizer. It was definitely a good size and a great start to the meal. For our main course, we split an order of the cod and the meatloaf. The cod was cooked well and was a decent size. It came with a good variety of vegetables and some delicious sautéed potatoes. Our favorite dish of the night was the meatloaf. We are both big meatloaf fans – and this version did not disappoint. The meat was packed with flavor and went well with the mashed potatoes – which were also quite tasty. The portion was massive as we had a difficult time finishing it. Overall, this place has some quality dishes at reasonable prices – especially for the South End. Lots of classic, homestyle dishes prepared well, with service that was friendly and attentive.

We initially came for dinner at Aquitaine restaurant without reservation and we were turned away. We left immediately and went to Stephi’s on Tremont. We got in and seated fast. Mary F was our lovely, awesome, and very friendly server.. Our food was outstanding and delicious. Excellent service. Thanks Mary! We came here in Boston to visit friends. We are visiting from Los Angeles, California.

Went with group of 5 late, 10:30 reservation. Service was slow from FOH initially but server got it back on track. Menu looked awesome. We ordered lobster guacamole, the duck confit spring rolls, tuna tartare, pretzel crab cake, spinach artichoke dip, scallops, lobster pot pie, and a salmon salad. Winners were the scallops(though pretty salty), the tuna tartare, duck rolls, and the spinach artichoke dip. Other dishes were fine, but not standouts. Lobster pot pie was disappointing. I felt like it was«missing something», and the table agreed. Also have a pet peeve about pot pies that are actually a thick soup topped with puff of some sort, rather than an actual pie crust. Cucumber vodka pitcher was a tasty drink. Just don’t know if I’d come back for more than drinks and a couple of the apps. Was leaning towards a 4, but 3 of my 4 dining mates voted for a 3. So there ya go.

I went to Stephi’s for lunch on a Tuesday and was seated immediately upon arriving around 1 pm. The food was delicious, but the service was a bit off. My waiter barely spoke and seemed very awkward whenever he had to ask me a question. I had to flag him down when I wanted to order my meal. The place has a upscale vibe without being stuffy and was filled with a variety of people from those enjoying business lunches away from the office or friends enjoying a lunch out. There’s outdoor seating available if the weather permits.

Horrible experience… Not sure what happened here. Stopped in for a quick app prior to a dinner somewhere else. We sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. It took about 10 or so minutes for our waiter to even come over and ask us if we want drinks. We ordered just water, and put in for a charcuterie board and some sweet chili wings. Almost 15 – 20 minutes went by. Our waiter walked by about 3 – 4 times and never acknowledged us or that our food had not arrived. I finally waved him down and asked him what was going on. He said he would look into it. Another 10 or so minutes went by, so I think about 30 minutes total from time of ordering a charcuterie board and some wings, and he came back and said he was sorry and that about 6 others were put in at the same time, and thats what took so long? I mean, seriously? So then a manager delivered our food for us– he didn’t even acknowledge how long it took. He just brought the food and said«enjoy your evening.» I mean come on, you don’t even apologize or say anything? Pretty upset about the whole thing– our waiter didn’t even apologize or say anything to us at all. I actually went in when I got the bill and complained to the guy who brought our food. He apologized and took off the charcuterie board. I mean, still — what would have been only about a 30 or so minute quick bite to eat, turned into about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The wings were good though =) Still didn’t feel as if the manager or the waiter cared. Sure he took off the charcuterie board, but still, he didn’t even apologize or make me feel like it was just a one time mistake?

Came here for a brunch on the weekend. they seated us quickly and the staff is very friendly. Food: new england clam chowder — Just what you need on a cold day salty pretzel crusted crab cake benedict — I really liked this dish, the eggs were cooked right and the crab tasted good meatloaf hash — Not a big fan of this dish. It was a huge portion, but there wasn’t much flavor. If you are looking for a place with consistent menu and good options for brunch, this place is a good option.

Went to Stephi’s on Tremont this Sunday for brunch! We made a reservation for two at 11. Were running a bit late so we called them to let them know, they were very accommodating and told us the would put a note in the reservation. When I arrived they brought me to my sear right away! The place was packed so you know it’s got good food! Service was fast, our waiter mumbled a little and it was sometimes hard to understand him– but he was always there checking on us/and when we needed something. I got the build your own bloody with Stephanie’s special mix– it was so good. I am not a huge Bloody Mary fan, but– when in Rome. Seriously, get one when you go! I then got the fresh fruit salad with yogurt parfait and granola on top. It was okay, as good as a fruit salad can get. I would have liked more granola on top(I’m sure I could have asked and they would have given me some more. But I didn’t) My boyfriend got the ‘Salty Pretzel Crusted Crab Cake Benedict’ and he says it tastes as good as it sounds– he actually said I needed to highlight it on Unilocal because it was that good– so definitely should try that out if you head in there for brunch! Overall a great experience!

Two words: So. Good. I’ve come here for both brunch and dinner, and left completely satisfied both times(and possibly far too full), but the gluttony is absolutely worth it. When we came for dinner, we ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare(super tasty, although the chips were a bit fragile), the Shepherd’s Pie(absolutely amazing, probably one of the best I’d ever tried), the Chicken Pot Pie(almost as good as the Shephard’s Pie, but that’s a hard standard to match — still completely gratifying), and the Miso Glazed Salmon Salad(which was just the right blend of sweet and savory). For brunch, we ordered the Breakfast Quesailla(which, whilst nothing spectacular, was a very solid choice) and the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Benedict(my favorite dish of everything I’ve tried here, with the exception being dessert). Be warned, though, these are very generous portions, and especially for the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Benedict, two people could easily share that dish and still come out stuffed. Not even kidding, the prices for these brunch dishes will seem pricey until you see exactly how much food they give you, at which point you’ll understand exactly how a brunch dish can cost almost $ 20. And of course, I can’t forget the dessert(that we ordered both times because it was just *that* good) — Fudgy Brownie Bread Pudding, topped with vanilla ice cream. Words cannot describe the perfection of this dessert. I would recommend it to anyone, even people who don’t typically enjoy dessert.

Must try for brunch. My friend and I were in the mood for Sunday brunch and didn’t have reservations anywhere. We tried a couple of different places but the wait times were just too long. We happened upon this place and gave it a try. Initially we were told the wait would be at least a half an hour, but then the sun came out and we opted to sit outside, and were promptly seated. So even without reservations we were able to get in, although I still highly recommend reservations for Sunday brunch. We had a great waiter who gave us some really good tips on his favorite items as well as popular brunch items on the menu. We both had a couple of champagne drinks, and I had the banana pancakes which were so moist and delicious. The brown sugar butter was melt in your mouth delicious. My friend had the arepa con chorizo and although I couldn’t sample the eggs, the sausage was nice and flavorful, not greasy, just fantastic. Food was surprisingly delicious and I left here beyond stuffed. The atmosphere is laid back. The place was busy but not so over busy that service was compromised.

I hate giving 2 stars but I just did not get the hype about this place. We waited over an hour for a table which is pretty average for the South End so we were ready for drinks and some food. The table ordered 2 Ahi Tuna’s, Mussels, Clam Chowder and a Burger. Everything was so underwhelming except the burger –the thick cut bacon was enjoyed on that. Not the best burger but it was the best thing at the table. I eat a lot of Ahi Tuna and this one was a disappointment. There were really large chunks mixed in with the typical small cubed tuna and overall it was just cut really messy and not appetizing. The avocado, soy sauce and spicy mayonnaise was SO tasteless I was confused to what it even was on top. I will say our waiter was very nice and attentive though!

I came here for brunch and loved it! Service, ambiance and the quality of food are all superb. I absolutely love their Bloody Mary Menu. You get the cutest notepad with a pencil, and give them the checklist of items you would like. I went with the pepperoni and cheese option, but you can also pick bacon, shrimp, olives, celery etc. Delicious! My friend had the blueberry pancakes which were delightful and I had the smoked salmon and avocado benedict. The mustard hollandaise is amazing, the poached eggs were delicious, and the avocado added amazing texture. Service was great too. Our waitress was very friendly, prompt, and polite. She also cleared our dishes in a timely fashion, refilled our water at a good rate, and checked in the appropriate number of times with us. I highly suggest coming here for brunch!
