Fun place to go if you like Hookah & Cigars. Love their interiors, makes me feel like I am where Hookah originated from!

Oh my favorite cigar bar, what has happened to you? Used to be our favorite post meal spot for a cocktail and a smoke. The staff are completely oblivious to the customers and only concerned with chatting with each other, which would explain the need to triple the prices of the cigars, they can’t have any outside business because the staff is sucking down the drinks and smoking the hooka instead of working. I had to say«I’m thirsty» to get 1 drink, asked what kind of tequila they had and interrupted the bar tender’s hooka smoke for her to say«Patron and Don Julio» and go back to smoking. Bye Bye lost sale, Asked for the tab 3 times before the hooka smoke cleared enough for the bartender to get the tab and we were at the bar and the only customers at the bar. I would have let this one night go except the last time we were there the ashtrays were full and the place was filthy and we were ignored again because the Megan Fox lookalike waitress was too busy on her I phone texting to do a darned thing. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, never going back. Too bad, this is a very cool spot and used to have cool people there who chatted, actually didn’t roll their eyes when you asked for a drink and oh I don’t know, WORKED. I hope the owners know they are paying their staff to party away while the customers languish looking for some kind of service. And BTW, calling your fellow employees«Bitches, hos and sluts» in front of the customers is not endearing.

Well if you’re in the Boston area and you want to go to a cigar bar, this is where you go. Great selection of whiskys, and a good selection of cigars. The basement speakeasy atmosphere is most comfortable for enjoying a fine drink and cigar. Ventilation is good. I wasn’t a fan of the bartender letting the ice cubes bounce off her hand as she scooped them into the cup(for soda). I also had to visit the bar a couple of times to get my drinks; I think the poor waitress was the only one doing the whole floor. Bathrooms could use some work.

You would be surprised how hard it is to find a bar open right now. Stumbled into this place after walking for 30 mins. Almost setup like a speakeasy, very easy and low light vibe with decent cigar prices and amazing martinis. I recommend any of the specialtys. Not much you can ask for after a good thanksgiving.

First and last time I will ever smoke a cigar! BUT hands down best place to experience it! It had two sides and a back room. Real loungy with great music and friendly staff. Downside is you smell horrible when you leave and they close at 1 am. Either way I’ll be back!

Great place. You don’t see many of these anymore. Exactly what you’d expect from an authentic cigar parlor. I’ll definitely be back.

Stopped off at this hole in the wall, speak easy type cigar bar while visiting Boston. The ambiance is great and the staff is friendly. They do not have the greatest cigar selection and the cigars are pretty expensive. Plus you order the cigar from the waitress and there is no walk in humidor(which I am not used to). But overall, I would definitely go back.

I was about to give this place 3 stars because i didn’t wanted to be judgemental after one visit as a tourist but unfortunate i have to lower my score while i sit here. I don’t really want to blame the waitress since she’s the only person here but i think she hasn’t said more than 10 words to me ever sinced i arrived. Smiling is also very hard altough i bet she has a wonderful smile. Maybe she was thrown off by the fact that i justed wanted a quick, easy and cheap smoke but that doesn’t make up for being unsociable especially if i’m trying to make conversation. The venue is nice. Mobster look and cigars… I feel like the real deal As mentioned above, besides the venue my experience at 5 pm was very bad… No service, high prices, unfriendly waitress. If i was with the company of some fellow cigar smokers, i would give this place an extra chance but for now… I’m leaving with mixed feelings

First trip out to Boston and we stumble upon this great place in the basement in the middle of little Italy!!! The owner David was not only sweet and handsome, he was very professional and knew most of his clients on a first name basis. I was lucky enough to make friends with a local that frequented this establishment and that caused for even more great service and love from the owner and staff. That just goes to show that they really love and appreciate their regulars. That’s very refreshing and appreciated. I look forward to many future visits to Boston which will all include several nights in at Stanza enjoying a glass of wine, a cigar or a hookah… or all of the above!!! This place is a great place for a boys night in or a simple date night with that special someone or just a great meet up place before going out for the night. Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel welcome and at home!!!

Great for cigars and drinks. Not mixed drinks. Macallan 12 is a safe bet –$ 15. Cuban belicoso sg and lemon drop were not so good.

Well stocked bar, friendly service, and an extensive collection of cigars to choose from. Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a traditional cigar bar in Little Italy. We chatted with some locals who frequent the place while we were there, had a few drinks, and enjoyed our $ 80 cigars. This is not a trendy place, or somewhere you will find any hipsters. This is an old fashioned, speakeasy style, old-time, dark and dreary, traditional cigar bar. There is a hazy feel to the place but the smoke is not unbearable, and smells great(If you enjoy a good cigar you will enjoy the odor, of course). The décor is clearly antique in most cases, and is quite an eclectic collection… but it is arranged in such a way that it almost seems to go together, until you inspect everything a little closer. Tons of fun, and we would go back if we end up in Boston again.

Great way to end the night. Awesome atmosphere. Had a Cusano and a few scotches. Fairly attentive waitress. Didn’t expect the music to be «clubby» but overall good experience. I’ll be back again and try the hookah.

Very cool ambiance! Super cozy, speakeasy-type setting with a great liquor selection. Best espresso martini in the city. I like to wrap up a date here(cigars don’t bother me), as you can snuggle into a booth with a scotch and a stogie and nibble on your box of pastry you just bought from Hanover Street; they allow you to bring in desserts because they don’t serve food. A total man cave that that special guy in your life will totally appreciate!

We were in the North End and decided to grab a cigar and walk around. Walked in here, eventually found the humidor ourselves as no one greeted us, and were completely ignored. My husband made eye contact with the bartender, still nothing happened. We bought cigars from a liquor store down the street and they were much more attentive and knowledgable than here. Stanza dei Sigari has lost two potential customers.

I was a little sketch’d out when i first walked in, this place seems like somewhere the mob or mafia would hang out. First observation, this place is much more catered to cigars than hookahs, which was not what I was going for when I first arrived. The waitress was pretty unattentive to begin with, and completely MIA for the hour we had our hookah. However, the hookah flavors are solid, the hookahs are solid. I left with a ripping headache because of all the smoke, but that could be me just being a lightweight. Overall, if you’re here for the hookah, you might want to try somewhere else.

Don’t let the fact that it is located downstairs in a basement deter you. This place is sexy, dark and mysterious. Stanza Dei SIGARI boasts an impressive selection of scotch and cigars to choose from.(along with other cocktails and liquers) I wish there were more places like this! If cigaras aren’t your thing, you can also opt to smoke hookah. I love the smell of cigars, but for someone who doesnt like the smell of smoke, the air is not as bad as you would think, we noticed the ventilation system circulated/sucked up? the air every so often so you didn’t feel smothered of stuffy by the amount of smoke in the air. The space is cozy here and the crowd is relaxed and laid back. Waitstaff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations or suggestions. This is somewhere you must make sure to check out! It is a hidden gem!

The eleven phases of [almost any normal or abnormal] evening that [may, could possibly] lead you here [but might not but probably will maybe]: Phase 1: The Plan. We’re in Boston. We’re in Boston for a bachelor party. Why would we smoke a cigar on the street or in a park that used to be a highway when we could go inside and do it with a lot of other people? This sounds like an excellent idea. Let’s do that. The cigar bar is now part of the itinerary. Phase 2: The Pre-Cigar Bar Activities Commence bachelor party. I think beer is in order. Oh, a pub crawl? Why yes, that sounds just right. Lots of beers with a shot or two mixed in for good measure. Food? Yeah, we had lunch. There are more Irish bars to crawl to, no time for a formal dinner. Phase 3: Where Are We? Where are we? Where are we in relation to the cigar bar? Do we have cigars? Can we bring our own cigars? Do they have cigars there? Answers: Boston, not that far, yes, yes, yes. Phase 4: Found It. Let’s go in. Nice atmosphere. Cool tables, lots of chill people. Also, lots of smoke. Well, because of Phase 2, it really doesn’t seem like a lot of smoke. Take a seat, cut, light, puff. Enjoy TV, music, and conversation. Phase 5: The Menu. Maybe it was dark, maybe we had all(once again) enjoyed ourselves a little too much in Phase 2. Whatever the reason, it is completely possible to drop hundreds(and hundreds) on very tiny, strong, and delicious drinks. My port was amazing. Also(apparently), my port was close to $ 40. Sip slower. Bottle o’ bubbly? Let’s do it. Cheers! Smoke, puff, converse, music(widely varying), bask in the cold air that conveniently and constantly battles the tobacco heat, settle up after the cigars dwindle. Phase 6: Arrive Somewhere With A HEPA Filter. Immediately realize how much you smell like smoke. A lot. A lot lot. Phase 6 might be different for regulars, as they could be very much used to what happens when you smoke behind closed doors in close proximity to many others doing the same thing. As someone that has only smoked 2 or 3 cigars ever… not used to it. At all. Phase 7: Change Clothes. Activities continue. Phase 8: Arrive Home. For most, that night. For me, three days later.(Wedding) Phase 9, 10, 11: Laundry. Took three times to get the smell out of my jeans, shirt, and jacket. Conclusions: Relaxed atmosphere, really nice people, comfortable seating, and quite the drink menu. If my phased experience is your thing — you’ll definitely like it here.

I know I could have had a better experience here. I came by myself after exploring the North End looking for something new. The outside of Stanza will draw you in with unique décor. Going down a flight of stairs you enter a small lounge/bar style room, people are laughing, enjoying their drinks and cigars. At first I was excited, until I was told to sit in the back, and then I had no service for a solid 15 minutes! I then took my menu up to the bar area and ordered myself. Stanza offers a small hookah section on their cigar menu(pricey compared to other hookah in boston) at about $ 45 a pop. Surprisingly on a Saturday night there was only one girl working in the entire room! I wasn’t asked if I wanted a drink, and I had to pay my check 30 minutes after I started to smoke because the waitress had a shift change. The only thing stopping me from giving Stanza 2 stars was the nice group of regulars sitting next to me that kept reassuring me that it was a great place and the service will be better next time I come by.
