Spa-a-licious!

I don’t think I could say it any better than has already been done and couldn’t agree more with the other reviewers… Ahlycea is outstanding. I had a fractured rib on the mend when I went to see her and was nervous about the massage all together because of it. I disclosed my injury and we discussed how to approach that area. She was extremely careful and gentle and any nervousness dissipated as, being that she’d already worked over my tremendously tense shoulders and neck, I felt 100% by that point that I was in very capable hands and trusted her completely. I don’t know how she did it, I don’t care to be honest, but I do know that this woman has healing hands. I can barely feel the pain in my rib region that I felt going into the appointment and realize now how much the muscles surrounding it were attributing to a majority of the pain. Ahlycea is a gem, one who I’ve already referred out to my friends especially those suffering from chronic pain. After hearing of my experience, they can’t wait to go see her and I’m confident they’ll be happy they did. A win across the board.

Just had a 60 minute full body relaxation massage from Ahlycea today. She is very good at what she does. The pressure was great and I felt very refreshed/​relaxed after my massage. I also appreciate her letting me redeem a amazon local deal offer that was expired. Her rates are very reasonable and I highly recommend booking her for an appointment.

Ahlycea is amazing. She has a great knowledge of anatomy, muscle groups, and fascia. She totally understands how to find tension knots and release the pressure there. I’ve been trying different massage therapists in Boston for the last 5 years, including Exhale and the Mandarin Oriential; and they don’t compare to Ahlycea. Plus her prices are half of them.
I hike over from Kendall Square once a week.

Great massage. She asked about my pressure preferences and applied the right amount. She also really focused on my problem areas.
The room is clean and easily accessible. I liked the music drowned out newbury street.

Excellent experience
I have tried several massage therapists in the area and this was one of the better ones I have had! Ahlycea was very skilled. We did deep tissue and she was able to hone in right where I needed work. Her pressure was very strong (which I wanted), and I felt like she was very tuned in, so that if I wanted her to change pressure she would have instantly. I initially came because of a discount purchase, but I plan to come back for sure.

Ahlycia is amongst the best massage therapists in the city! Easy online booking through her website, but be fore-​warned to try +book way ahead. She has an intuitive touch and can do deep tissue as good as anyone and better cause her massage technique is so personally suited to your specific aches +tight spots. Her rates are really fair and considering the location is so easy+central to get to. Book now-​you will be hooked!

Ahlycea is the best! She definitely gives the best massages I have ever had, and at the most reasonable prices. I have never been someone who gets regular massages and I’d actually probably only gotten a handful in my lifetime (usually through Groupons or on vacations.) I bought the Groupon for 3 massages at Spa-​a-​licious and now I will definitely be purchasing a package to start getting regular, monthly massages with Ahlycea.
What makes Ahlycea so good? There are many things that set her apart. The first is that she is very quiet and just gets right down to business. Unlike places that talk you through your massage, telling you your problem areas and ultimately convincing you why you need to come back and get massages regularly, Ahlycea just massages and actually gives me the ability to relax. Second, her office is perfect. Nothing fancy but an AMAZING location. Incredibly convenient, and though you may think being right on Boylston would be loud, she somehow keeps her space quite peaceful. I’m always shocked by how quiet is in there. Thirdly, Ahlycea listens to you and when you ask her to focus on problem areas, she does so without neglecting the rest of the massage. Sometimes I wonder how she fits so much into an hour. And finally, her prices! I can’t believe these are quality full hour massage prices in the heart of Back Bay.
Sure, it’s tough to book an appointment but once you get in touch with her she’s very accommodating and you can text her anytime.

Ahlycea is amazing. I went in for the first time with an amazon deal/​gift card thing. I’ve been back twice a month ever since. The prices are very affordable and you will not find better quality for the price in Boston, guaranteed. I have two different back injuries and I’ve gone from some days not being able to stand up or walk without pain, to being able to run and dance again and being completely pain free about half the time (within six months). She really listens to what you need and is very talented. She’s also not afraid to ACTUALLY give a deep tissue massage when it is asked for.
It can be difficult to get the initial appointment because it’s just Ahlycea there and she’s incredibly busy, but once you’re in, it is totally worth it. She mentioned to me recently that there is going to be online booking available so that will be nice too.

I would love to write a true review but I can’t seem to get anyone at Spa-​a-​licious! to contact me about an appointment. I’ve called, texted and sent an e-​mail as per the instructions on the website. Oh well, guess she doesn’t want my business.

I am just coming back from a one hour full body massage and I feel great! This is the best thing I have done to myself in the past year or so. I have persistent and sometimes pretty strong lower back pain since my pregnancy which was only getting worse with taking care of the baby, the house etc… Enough suffering! I mentioned the back pain in the brief questionnaire Ahlycea gave me at the beginning without really thinking that a massage could help. It did. She did. She did miracles. Definitively coming back for more. And I can’t wait!

Ahlycea is ah-​mazing!
She is one of the most skilled massage therapists I’ve worked with. Whether I need general de-​stressing, deep tissue for stubborn knots, abdominal massage or sports massage, she instinctually locates the tension and adjusts her technique accordingly. She’ll always check in before a session and ask which areas should be her focus for the time we have.
Best location, best prices. The prices are so good, that I can go see her more frequently than I would’ve otherwise! Her studio on Boylston street is small and a little haven with warm, comforting air and relaxing aromatherapy scents.
Also, I love that I can schedule everything via email. For a workaholic like me, this makes communication so much easier than phone calls.

I had my first massage with Ahlycea Faye yesterday and it was delicious! Her studio is very small, warm and inviting. She first interviewed me so we can discuss my health etc. The massage itself was lovely, she has very strong and gently hands and I was very happy with this. I will be going again. And her rates are affordable! She is very convenient as she is right at Copley Square.

This girl knows what she’s doing. I’m a repeat customer with arthritis in my knees & frequent back pain. Ahlycea has found pulled muscles & knots that I wasn’t even aware of & explained how those muscles caused other parts to hurt. She’s careful & thoughtful with her practice & can help you understand what causes certain stresses & how to take better care. I always come out minus the pain & more relaxed.

Ahlycea has a wonderful feel for body issues and a healing touch that is, at once, gentle and strong. Her location in Copley Square/​Back Bay is super convenient, too.

Ahlycea is an excellent Massage Therapist. I usually don’t like the way women massage me, but tiny as she is, her hands are very strong so she can do a very effective deep tissue, which is what I prefer. However, if you need a lighter touch, she’ll listen, and do that too. She’s very in tune with her client’s needs, making sure that you are comfortable in the way that is right for you. She has very calm, pleasantly matter-​of-​fact energy. She also has a strong knowledge of anatomy and can offer an informed theory (she’s not an MD so she ca’t give «advice») as to the source of possible muscular issues. Her location is right on the green line in Back Bay which is very convenient if you operate in the downtown area. I can not give her enough stars.
