Wow what a great place — awesome drinks the bar tender made my special drink! Vodka, watermelon pucker and lemonade with no issues — Thomas W at the door was friendly and made us feel welcome!

Been in here on a variety of occasions by chance and each time I’ve had a great experience. Pop in here for lunch once and again, food is good by bar food standards. Normally meet friends here after work on the occasional Friday as you can’t beat the drink specials. Trivia is always a solid distraction. Bar staff and waitresses are all tremendously friendly, fun and unpretentious. Great little spot in Faneuil Hall.

I have been visiting this bar for over 4 years for both their $ 2 buds and nightly trivoke. Best bartenders, great food and the homemade salsa is amazing. Monday and Tuesday’s are my favorite with Brittany and Amanda! See you ladies next week.

If you’re looking to lose your phone, keys, and wallet while forgetting the entire night because of cheap Three Olives drinks, then this is the place for you!
Enjoy your time getting down on the dance floor, but I promise a creep (or two) might grab you from behind.
Have fun with the sticky floors, creepy people, and look forward to having to watch your drink the entire time.
Hint: If you’re underage, they basically take bus passes as IDs.
Hint: above hint should also be a warning to those who are older and hitting on college kids. They are not as old as you think, my friends.

Sissy K’s is amazing place to go to but the DJ tonight was whack… there where times ppl where just standing there cause we all like what the heck??? But on the usual night wed-​sat night there usually on point! and u would give 5 stars on all the other DJ’s

This was my first time in Boston, and Thomas was So helpful. He gave us a lot of good places to go for New YEARS Eve. We had a great time in Sissy-​K.

Came here with some friends after the aquarium. Came in at about 2 in the afternoon and was seated by an incompetent waitress. The three of us ordered drinks and they were delivered in 3 separate trips.
After asking for menus we ordered an app and pizza. The pizza came first then the app a few minutes later. That’s when my problem began. When ordering we asked for sides of ranch and blue cheese because they didn’t come with our order. They came after we payed our bill, after the app came out after our main course. And to top it off, we were never offered a refill on our drinks despite the wait. I would not come back here if it was free. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you want service

Went here a few times as I’m new to the city, let me be clear. If you want to have a good time here don’t come late at night. The games and trivia have a great crowd. Staff on late night (upstairs) are very rude.

I was not allowed in with an out of state id card with cc card and student ID as backup because it is their policy. I do not drive because of poor eyesight. If that is the only form of ID you have, steer clear of this place.

Went here while visiting Boston for the weekend and we wanted a place to dance. The line outside this place on a Saturday night was ridiculous, considering it wasn’t even very crowded outside. $ 10 cover also seemed a little excessive. Biggest complaints: strobe lights were blindingly bright and the DJ wasn’t very good (played 5 seconds of a good song, switched to electronic music for 30 seconds, then played 5 seconds of another song, etc). Also why were the floors so sticky???
Clientele was somewhat aggressive.
Despite all this we still had a good time dancing and it fulfilled the purpose we came for.

Went here for dinner and drinks… Got the fish and chips basket and fried pickles. Onion rings in basket where fired to a crunchy crisp and not in a good way… Fries were on point. And pickles were great, ALOT of breading. Moreso than anywhere else I’ve been. But still great.
Many drinks were had and they were great! Give it a try :)

This place is run by prejudice and sexist managers and staff. Only females are allowed to dance on the raised platform around the upper dance floor. I was asked to remove myself, but I told them that the policy was prejudice and I would not get off. I was told a manager would come see me. After telling them about how this practice was sexist and most likely illegal, the manager never came.
I eventually found the manager after insisting his presence. He totally lied to my face about how it was only a policy for tonight (the staff told me t had always been their policy) and that all the security guards were new. When I pressed harder, he told me it is because guys are aggressive and steal other guys girlfriends which is the most backward thing I have ever heard. He told me that the process was not sexist – but clearly it was conveying the message that 1. Women are to be objectified (why else only have women dance where people can see them?) and 2. That as long as people don’t see sexual assault it doesn’t matter (because saying that guys are aggressive when they can be seen and not allowing that means that your bar institutes a culture of objectification on the unseen dance floor).
The drinks were also totally over priced, the bartenders rude, and the space generic.
Do not go here and give money to people who are sexist and prejudice.

An Economic Analysis of why this place sucks:
The cover charge can be a good stream of bonus revenue for a bar. However, the existence of a cover charge and the amount of it should always be linked to supply and demand. When demand is high, and it seems like your establishment will have no issues reaching full capacity, then a cover charge can make sense as a form of price discrimination and additional revenue.
However, when it’s 11:30pm, and your bar is at 35−45% capacity, it makes no sense to implement a $ 10 cover charge, as potential customers who would easily balk at the price and walk away. Of course, $ 10 is pure profit, but a customer who consumes 3 drinks over the course of a night would drive $ 8×3 = $ 24 in revenues, and assuming a very conservative 75% gross margin (we all know margins for alcohol are much greater), you would have made $ 18 of gross profit, 80% than the $ 10 cover charge.
Of course, the catch is, potential customers can’t see what is going on upstairs when they walk in, so some customers, like myself will take a risk, pay the upfront fee and go in. Some of these customers will reluctantly stay for the rest of the night, as they make an emotional decision to stay based on the $ 10 sunk cost. Other customers will see the cover charge for what it is — an unfortunate sunk cost, and leave almost immediately and never come back, representing an opportunity cost of future revenues for the establishment that cannot be recouped.
There is a reason why this place only has 2.5 stars. Management is obviously short sighted and not customer driven. I recommend against going here. Go next door to Hong Kong. They seem like they were having way more fun.

Good music and very affordable drinks, although not very strong!!!
Sissy K’s is your typical college student bar so that means that you gotta watch where you step because the floor is super sticky and slippery. I got hit on and creeped on WHILE with my boyfriend the entire time I was there. The cover at the door is one of the cheapest around. There’s no air conditioning in the top floor, where the fun is at & no ventilation either. After certain hours the place starts to smell like legit vomit. ALSO, there’s only one bathroom, which is super nasty, at the «basement»!!!
I mean, you can tell from the outside façade what you are getting yourself into when you step in this place & it so happens that this one day what I was looking for is exactly what I got. I mean, sometimes I like nasty places filled up with drunk girls and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I spent the night with my friend in Mass General with my friend who sliced her foot open on a piece of glass in sissy ks and the nurse came in and said that she was the second person to come in that night from sissy ks… I’ll let that determine your bar selection.

If you are drunk, missing the frat party scene/​house party vibe with top 40 music and more grinding then a 7^th grade dance then honey this is your place. Sticky, stumbly, and karaōke makes for a night that you wont remember and that is Sissy K’s. The door guys are blehh and the service is okay, but this does make a fun night. Ditch the heels and button ups and get to dancing. There’s also a Bank of America ATM next door to get cash and tons of bar/​dance places near by.
This area can get sketchy so be careful.
21+ Cover cost varies

If you like to pay $ 10 to dance in a sticky, nonventilated, non air-​conditioned dive bar with ratchet girls in a cloud of other people’s smelly farts, here’s your chance.
The one star is for the great DJ playing good music.

This place sucks! My friend wasn’t let in because she doesn’t have a liquor license? I don’t get it. But whatever don’t want to go to a place where there’s a bum rolling on the floor in front of their entrance anyway.
