I like their salads. They are huge and fresh. Today, 8/1, I guess they decided to close their salad bar early. There is nothing on the website nor on the door nor anywhere else stating that they are closing early today. Sucky customer service if you ask me. I went at 2:15 and they should be open until 3.

Sebastians catered an event for about 60 people for us. The Devonshire sandwich was fresh and delicious and we got chips and cookies as well– Great quality food. There is usually a long line for lunch but it is worth it! Huge salads with lots of options.

Had a turkey sandwich from Sebastians today and loved it. I go to school around the area and was able to get in an out during lunch rush. Thanks for a great lunch!

This review is for their breakfast. PLEASE do not waste your time eating breakfast at this establishment. I literally just threw away the omelet that I bought there 15 minutes ago. I ordered an egg white omelet with veggies and cheddar cheese. I brought it into my office and sat down to eat it. What I found when I opened the box, was something half resembling scrambled eggs, and half resembling an omelet… sitting in a pool of oil, with a burnt piece of toast and no butter on it. I can’t believe I just paid money for that. Sebastians, you need to find some competent people to work for you. I wish I could give you ZERO stars.

I love the chocolate chip muffins in the morning. Top quality customer service. Also, the coffee is great!

I pretty much only go here for the salads but they are incredible. I’m the type who likes salads with lots of different things in them and Sebastians is one of the few places that has a ton of ingredients and lets you pick as many as you want for no extra charge. There are a few items that include an upcharge like salmon and chicken but that’s pretty standard for proteins. They also have several ingredients that other places don’t have like roasted buternut squash, tofu and beets. My only wish is that they could chop the salads instead of just tossing! I’m guessing they don’t offer this in order to keep the long line moving as quickly as it does.

Honestly, there is no other option for salad in the downtown area for me. Why, you ask? Variety! Unlike other places that limit your toppings to 3 or 4… Sebastian’s allows you to add on about 30 additional toppings without charge. The extras that cost are the proteins, but that’s expected. If I can remember everything I added, I will illustrate my point: –romaine –tomato –onions –garbanzo beans –mozzarella –water chestnuts –carrots –beats –black beans –green peppers –black olives Oh I’m sure there is more… but then I eventually added the buffalo chicken because it looked awesome. It was worth it. It didn’t even look like I had made a dent in my salad after eating about 1 lb. of roughage. Oy. Very busy, you’ll have to wait a bit as the lines move along, but definitely great variety for the lunch crowd in DTX.

This has to be the worse sandwich experience I’ve had in a longgggg while. I’ve known about Sebastian’s for awhile and remember having an unmemorable experience there, but I decided to change it up from my usual places(b. good, subway’s, eat kitchen, boloco) to hit up sebastian’s. I am now regretting and hungry because I did. I got the San Italiano, which has to be the worse sandwich in the history of mankind. The olive paste they put on there is essentially the entire sandwich, and it wouldn’t matter how much meat was piled on that thing. I couldn’t taste the salami, cpricola, mortadella, provolone, nor roasted pepper. Add to that a rosemary foccocia that I couldn’t even bite through and it was a disaster. I couldn’t get past a quarter of the sandwich before I opened it up and ate the meats and cheese. I won’t be coming back here.

This is a popular lunch spot in Downtown/Financial District, but there are cheaper options around. A relatively small sandwich will set you back $ 8 and although the ingredients were fresh, I don’t see myself going there too often as I got hungry again in 2 hours.

I go crazy at places like this. And I mean crazy in a good way! I lovve loading tons of toppings on my salad! The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish they had a few more dressing options – honey mustard, raspberry vinaigrette maybe? It’s a great lunch spot, so beat the rush unless you want to wait in a pretty long line.

Extremely crowded and overpriced for nothing special. You go here for the vibe, not the food. And I really don’t care for the pretencious vibe either, so there you go. They tout themselves as a make it yourself place, but really, you can do what they do for so much cheaper. Go to Café de Boston for a less expensive version of their salad(also, seriously, you don’t need that whole box of salad, like woh). Sandwiches are also nothing to write home about. If you’re looking for a better sandwich, go to Sip. It’s cheaper. You can get everything from here somewhere else for a better price. Honestly, you people work in the Financial district, be a little money savvy. Sorry of this offends everyone and their mother. And worst of all, it’s always packed around lunch time so 1) you’ll have long lines 2) you most likely won’t get a table(but who knows, you could get lucky) and 3) you will spend over $ 10 for your lunch, which is ludacris.

I haven’t written a review for Sebastian’s yet? How the heck did that happen?!? Me and little bro have a weekly lunch date here(usually) and my custom sandwich creation just completely rocks my world every time(Tomato aioli, a little bit of basil, mozzarella, tomato and grilled chicken on rosemary focaccia, maybe a little balsamic drizzle… try it, it’s sooo, sooo good!!). Their salads are wonderful as well, although pricey(5th star removed for that, sorry!). Everyone is super nice here, and they always keep the lines moving. I can’t wait for my sandwich tomorrow!

Great lunch spot for meeting a friend, which was what I was doing. The tables are sunny and not too crowded(we went at 1 pm), and its great people watching. I even got up at one point thinking I saw someone I knew… no dice. The salad is charged at a flat rate $ 7.50, they only charge for meat or fish toppings. With that in mind, you could pile on the veggies and get two meals for the price of one. The Sesame chicken was very good, and I tried to pretend it wasn’t packed with sugar. They do a good job of getting you in and out quickly so I could see why this was a hopping spot for suits. If I ate out for lunch every day, I’d go here more often, but I’d rather save my money than eat this kind of $ 10 salad every day.

Pretty tasty food, but just really expensive. Note: one frustrating thing is that Sebastian’s advertised a $ 5 after 2:30pm deal, since they close at 3:00pm. However, I went for the first time this week, and the cashier told me they stopped doing this deal as of last Friday. That was pretty unfortunate, since I had read about the deal on their website only earlier the same day.

Sebastian’s is my go-to lunch spot for busy days and/or days when I want to eat healthy. They have a little bit of everything, with a rotating menu of soups, a hearty selection of interesting sandwiches, and a great salad selection. My typical salad consists of salmon, spinach, tomatoes, onions, mandarin oranges, a little bit of Parmesan and their sesame ginger dressing. It’s less than $ 10 and big enough that I can eat it for two meals(though I usually don’t have the self restraint to put it down). Don’t be deterred by the long line — the people working the salad section have this thing down to a science and the line moves fairly quickly. Sebastian’s also features more cafeteria-like options, like hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, yogurt and granola parfaits, and pre-packaged(but still fresh) sushi.

Sebastian’s has it’s strong points and it’s weak points. First off, the breakfast sandwiches are great. They have grilled bagel panini style egg sandwiches with either egg and sausage, bacon or just cheese. The bacon is crispy. I have not had the sausage. I didn’t find the breakfast sandwiches to be very expensive either. They were around $ 3. and were quite large. I had an egg wrap the other day made with onions, peppers, egg beaters and a very mild salsa. That was pretty good, although, I would have preferred real eggs to the egg beaters. The egg wrap was only $ 1.50. Truly, a bargain. I have had muffins and such from Sebastian’s too. They are just okay, nothing worth mentioning. For lunch, there are sandwiches that can be made to order, salads made to order and they have two entrees each day along with a few sides. As far as the salads go, beware. I have had salads a few times and gotten sick each time(I tried a few times thinking it just might be me, but alas, every time I got sick). I think they might use sulfites to preserve the vegetables and I am highly allergic to sulfites. I cannot usually eat from salad bars for this reason. However, if you like roasted half chickens, then Sebastian’s is the place to go. Everyday, they have a differently marinated roasted chicken. My favorite is the Thai chili sauce marinade. It is served with two sides. I usually get the roasted potatoes and whatever vegetable side they have for the day. The roasted potatoes are usually nicely seasoned with rosemary and other spices. The half chicken usually runs about $ 7.50 including the sides. I think it’s a good price for the amount of food you get. My only complaint is that I wish they had a ¼ chicken version. I don’t usually want to eat that much chicken at lunch. I have had the roast pork a couple of times too. That was quite good also, but usually runs about $ 8.50. Like some of the other reviewers stated, the cookies and chips can be expensive. Normally, I don’t order that kind of stuff. I do not think the food prices are out of line for the financial district, unless you want to start making lots of substitutions and additions. The sandwiches are very good at Sebastian’s also. Generous portions, with some different selections. I like Sebastian’s for the most part, I love the chicken. Unfortunately, I can not do the salad, and I wish I could, because I like the idea of adding what I want. I just don’t want to be sick all afternoon from it. So, beware if sulfites bother you!

Two stars for fresh salad fixins. But that is all you get Sebastian’s. You know why… you know why. Sebastian’s, Please don’t charge me $ 8 for a salad then justify it by loading absurd amounts of my chosen ingredients on it. No I don’t want a pound of mushrooms on my salad and no I should not have to «tell you» that I don’t want a pound of mushrooms on my salad. You should just know that a pound of mushrooms on a individual salad is just friggin gross. And, Sebastian’s, please don’t give me attitude when I ask you to take some of the mushrooms off of my salad. I am the customer. Treat me as such. Your prices are too high. I’d rather have a salad without ridiculous amounts of ingredients for a bit cheaper. Thank you for listening. Have a lovely day.

Scene: Deb K. is hungover as crud and on her way down the wind tunnel that is Devonshire Street, lugging crap to a work meeting. Deb’s internal monologue: I so need something to eat right now or I am not only going to be useless and cranky, but it will also be blatantly obvious that I am hungover. Oh! There is a Sebastian’s on this street, I will pick up a cookie or something. Deb walks in and hones in on the 2 ounce bag of sea salted, kettle cooked chips. Guy at register: «That will be $ 1.84» Deb shocked that a little bag of chips can be 10 cents less than an egg, with toast and home fries from next door: «How much is this cookie here?» Guy at register dumbfounded: «I don’t know.» He scans it and looks at Deb without saying anything as the register displays $ 1.25. Deb: «Ok, I will take the cookie, but I don’t want the chips, thanks.» Guy at register is just staring at Deb waiting for the $ 3.15 for the cookie and chips. Deb: «Can you take the chips off? I don’t want them.» Guy at register is just staring at Deb waiting for the $ 3.15 for the cookie and chips. Deb: «I don’t want the chips.» Guy at register: «Oh, you don’t want the chips? Can you put them back then?» I’ll show him where he can put his overpriced chips, not that I am ever going to go back there again.

Sebastard’s? yuck. they charge you extra for every little thing and the grilled chicken is so dry you could choke on it. i hate this place so damn much. i would rather get salad from the grocery store salad bar instead. and i do.
