one of my favorite restaurant… my bf and i eat at this place very often, everytime we came, the owner always teased at my bf, and vice versa… eventhough the place doesnt look fancy or nice, but that doesnt matter, the food that counts, superb… i love salted fish fried rice, pig intestine with picked vegetables, deep fried salted fish, fried squid, sweet and sour shrimp… ummm yummy… it makes me hungry when i think about it… the down side is the restroom are extremely small that only fit on person or two… but that doesnt make me stay out of that place… well, if you look for a romantic, upscale, or warm-blurry restaurant, this is not a place for you folks…

Prices here have gone up over the last 6 – 7 years(originally they were up in the food court at Chinatown Eatery). My favorite dishes here are the spicy fried squid and beef jook. Also they have great hotpot(that’s casserole, not huoguo). This is one of those places that you have to be Chinese/know what to order, because if you try the regular ol’ American fare(i.e General X’s Chicken, Ma Po Do Fu), you’ll probably find things average. Good news: this place is open until 3:30/4am-ish most days.

This place is actually on Knapp Street(right off of Beach). The gem here is the scallion pancakes. The rice and noodles are also pretty good. The entrees are pretty average and I wouldn’t recommend them here over some other places.
