Amazing everything… If you can afford it, stay there every time! Great spa, pool, gym was tight though. Staff was too notch accommodating and friendly! Great for business meetings too! Location is perfect for doing everything. Views of harbour and planes taking off are gorgeous!

Drinks: Awesome. Nothing to complain about. Well made, and a fun list of specialty cocktails to play with if you are feeling adventurous. Food: Pretty good, but a little pricey. And no food orders after like 10pm, I think. Service: Mostly good, but with a few hiccups to be honest. And they supposedly dont close until midnight(we were given this info at the front desk, and by our concierge), but we walked in at 1045 one night and the place was dark and empty. A gal from the cleaning crew told us they had closed early and called her in. If we had known we had no where to eat at the hotel we would have stopped somewhere else on our back… so we ended up having to go up to our room and order in-room dining from there. We were in for the first time on the 3rd, and told our server we were planning on going to the Esplanade for the fireworks show the next evening. She seemed to be discouraging us from doing this, and did not make it sound like an appealing place to see the celebration. We had heard otherwise from various people so we went ahead and chanced it. We had an excellent time, and really enjoyed the experience there on the Charles River and the Boston Pops music from the Hatch Shell.

Horrible Experience. Myself and a few professional friends went here for their summer series event. We wanted to go for the music and a bite for dinner on the patio. Reservations: It’s understandable that this place would be booked a week in advanced given the live music, but there’s certainly no need for rudeness. The series is a few weeks long so if we know ahead of time to make reservations 2 weeks in advanced, we know and can plan accordingly. Service: We could have sat immediately inside and then come out for the music. Okay. We had a bite to eat. The food was very good — though extremely expensive. No entrée under $ 20 and no app under $ 12. The waiter was very very nice. But failed to take away our menus and completely forgot about us. Never followed up, never filled our water glasses(until asked), never asked about drinks. And after asking for our check we had to wait about 20 minutes. Entertainment: the music was Excellent! However, we were asked plenty of times to sit down or move even though no one was sitting behind us. You couldn’t get drinks unless you were sitting on the patio(and you had to get a reservation 2 weeks in advanced for that). Last but not least — I had a friend who biked there(because she lives close, it’s a nice night, and exercise is always good) There are zero bike racks in close proximity to the hotel, so she used a lightpost. We came out to find that the bike had been locked by another lock! Apparently the hotel security locked the bike. I guess they were going to confiscate it. The reasoning? «It’s private property». First of all, there’s no sign ANYWHERE that mentions it’s private property(there was a sign mentioning snow emergency parking, and valet parking). Second of all, it’s a Boston Street Light. I’m pretty sure the hotel did not pay for that streetlight. Perhaps they think that bikes being parked outside is «low class». Personally, I think bikes promote healthy living. Regardless, they were rude about it and didn’t even leave a note. I may go back to enjoy the music, but you’ll be sure I’ll have eaten and drank beforehand.

Nice place to go for a cocktail. We sat at the bar and a drink here before heading out to dinner. The service was fast and the servers were very attentive. The place gets pretty packed but we were still able to find a seat. The atmosphere is a little dark but it works for this place and I enjoyed it.

Nice atmosphere & lighting. Bar seems nice enough. Arrived into Boston late on a Monday night and was hoping for some light fare before retiring for the night — I ordered a salad and club soda. Before my order arrived, a «woman» sat down at my table(didn’t ask) and asked to have her order sent to my table. She explained she didn’t want to sit alone, that everyone else was together. I mentioned I wasn’t interested in the company and couldn’t offer much in the way of conversation. Trust me, I wasn’t looking for company or a «paid date». The waitress, unfazed by my discomfort, happily brought my new table guests’ order to the table and set her up with silverware and a place setting. My salad arrived… My guest commented that I ate healthy… I took two bites and felt nauseous. The salad didn’t taste very good, but maybe it was the sad situation I found myself in. My uninvited guest attempted to make small talk, of which I wanted none. She then proceeded to take off her jacket and make herself comfortable and reveal her tattooed arms. I immediately stood up from the table, approached the bar and explained to the bartender(a woman) and my waitress that I wasn’t looking for company, had no interest in a «date», wanted no trouble and simply wanted a quiet meal. I asked to close out my tab immediately. They apologized, offered me a drink and explained the salad was on them. They said they would take care of the«situation». Not sure what happened after I left but I didn’t really care. This place needs a better way to keep this unsavory element away from their ordinary customers, that want no part.

This is a review on the afternoon tea. After much research, I decided to book here for the scenery(by the bay! so pretty). Although the atmosphere is great, I was underwhelmed. Limited tea selection, the 3 tier finger foods did not seem fresh and between 4 of my girlfriends, we barely finished half. Overall– good customer service and amazing views of the bay, but sub-par afternoon tea(esp for the price).

What to know: Beautiful venue. The wine list is so-so but the cocktails are solid. Pricey as hell. Service pretty much stinks… if you’re not a high-tipping regular and there are some at the bar, good luck. We ate a quick bite here as well. Pappardelle with turkey meatballs was okay(meatballs very good, pasta way too heavy) and the ribs were decent. Overall, though, not anything to write home about and again, very expensive for what you get. While the ambiance is pretty awesome, I can’t recommend Rowes Wharf Bar given the less than lackluster service.

Great selection of specialty menu drinks and something about it just SCREAMS«Tyger, why didn’t you put on your little sparkly shimmy dress(with matching hat and purse) and bring your sterling silver cigarette holder?» No worries. Next time, I shall be fully prepared(and I’ll be looking around for Humphrey Bogart). Classy and chill. And my Moscow Mule in the fancy schmancy copper mug was delish.

Great service in classic dark paneled bar atmosphere. Ask for Brian at the bar, get great service and authentic menu recommendations, kick back and watch the Sox win.

4-Stars, at least. A classy looking place with professional bar tending and a refreshingly non-pretentious atmosphere make this a great spot to meet friends or colleagues. Aside from being fairly easy to get to from the financial district, the thing I like about Rowes Wharf Bar is it’s relative spaciousness. The bar can be doing a lot of business without its patrons feeling like they are packed-in like sardines. Definitely a place to be Bookmarked for future reference.

A word to the wise: Rowe’s Wharf Bar opens at 4:00 p.m., so if you’re there early, grab a beer at the Sea Grille(across the hallway) before RWB opens. Boston Harbor Hotel itself is a magnificent venue, and our Sea Grille bartender informed us that weddings galore take place here at this 5-Star Boston beauty(at least 2 a day!), and we can see why. It’s magnificent. But not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea. It’s luxury in the most extreme New England fashion you can imagine-very country-club, very WASP-y, and very Titanic-esque. Still, it’s one of only two 5-star hotels in the entire city, so it’s certainly worth exploring. As you walk into the bar itself, you feel as though you’ve been transported into a more dignified place and era. You enter and walk down a corridor of red-striped damask chairs, black couches with red pillows, black tables and matching lamps. The lights are dim, the wood, rich, the classical music, soft, and from there, the scene is set. Captain Bartender(he did have a nametag on, but we couldn’t quite catch his name) presented us with salted mixed nuts, a variety of olives, and a separate cup of clear plastic garnish spears, with which to eat our olives. Without a word, he also gave us a glass of water on linen napkins, before we ordered our drinks. Cocktails range from 14.50−16.50, and are good, but not spectacular. Go here more for the ambiance, if you’re into that sort of old-school, old-money vibe. Worth a see, but perhaps not a repeat visit.

Great view, nice menu, solid service. I would come back here again, especially if I can sit outside and watch the boats go by. My wife and kids would eat this setting up. Touristy? Perhaps. Ask me if I’m concerned.

Delicious! I only had a salad, but the service was fabulous, the salad was super tasty, the ambiance was classy, and it was super cozy. Their Irish Soda Bread??? OMG. I wanted to eat the entire loaf. Simply eat at the bar for that bread. Divine.

Probably among the best bars in the US. It is not trendy at all. Indeed, it is wood-paneled and dark upholstered, with a flattering amount of light(read sorta dark!) and is thickly carpeted. The bar is polished wood and brass. The bartenders wear ties and call you sir. It is extremely comfortable. The cocktails are good, the single malt scotch and wine selections by the glass deep enough to evoke interest and they never, ever rush you out. Plus, the roasted mix nuts you get with drinks are totally, outrageously addictive. One of my favorite places anywhere to sit and schmooze with friends and/or colleagues, and I think they all feel the same way.

Stopped in a few weeks ago on a pub crawl. The place is pretty upscale — the décor reminds me of pictures from upper class bars during the 1920s, and the bartenders are well dressed, friendly, and helpful. Oh, and the drinks are excellent.

Sinatra in the background, easy conversation with friends, surprisingly decent food, rich dark wood interior, decent mixed drinks — ahhhh, you’re in a Boston Hotel bar… I like this bar a lot. I was always curious about this place — the entrance is this fancy looking doorway on the corner of a busy street — where ol’ 93 used to be. It’s really nice — you walk in — up a few steps — there are several really nice tables and different chairs and seats around. Big old giant bar. Pleasant waitresses. The food surprised me. I didn’t think I would be impressed with the pizzas but BOTH were just really nice! Vibrant and fresh. The deserts were really nice too — this chocolate cake thing — forget about it — it would be a contender at Finalé any day! Give this place a shot, for sure. And make mine a double!!!

I think that this is one of the hidden gems of Boston bars. It has a great atmosphere — very old school yet has a modern touch. The drinks are pretty expensive(about $ 15 for a martini) but they are worth the money. My favorite is the truffletini — which is a clear, dairy-free take on chocolate martini. In addition, you also get some complimentary snacks(mixed nuts and olives) to go with your tasty beverage. Note: Single ladies, I’ve spotted a lot of fine-looking gentlemen each time I come here for a drink. It might not be the lounge-y/trendy martini place but it’s definitely worth scoping out after work.

This pricey place is a def special occasion hangout, chillin’ old-school style. Went here after a law firm function with some coworkers for drinks and it was fitting: hardwood panels, leather couches, and most importantly? Strong drinks and a late night menu! Best classic fries I’ve had in a looooooong time and my gin and tonic really hit the spot on a very hot night. It was perfectly suited to the occasion with some 19Th century flavor without going overboard. Not suited, necessarily, to a night out partying with the girls… but I would take my parents there without a second thought. The waitresses handled our large and … peculiarly demanding party(by which I mean to say, «hey, can we get some more fries– oooh, and two of those thingies whatever they are over there, and some nuts!») like professionals and remembered the extra lime in my drink. Careful, the traditional Caesar salad is super traditional and comes with a big anchovy sitting right on top.
