Rouvalis Flowers & Garden

The customer service at this place is horrible. The sales associates act like you just killed their dog the moment you walk into the store. It’s unfortunate, because the flowers are very pretty (overpriced, but pretty). So if you can get over shitty customer service, then more power to you.
If I could, I would give 0 stars after the experience I had this morning.

I must start off by saying that Rouvalis is an adorable little florist. It is overpriced but they make beautiful little arrangements that are great gifts AND it’s in Beacon Hill so I understand their methods. The pots they put the plants in are grossly overpriced — I know you can get the EXACT same at HomeGoods for ½ the price, if not more. Still, I am in sales and I get it. Despite these facts, I have gone here several times. However, my experience today made me write this review and is the reason I am going to give them 2 stars and I will never return.
I arrived at the store 15 – 10 minutes before their closing at 6 PM. I asked if they were still open and got a positive response. Please note this is also 2 days before Christmas. I couldn’t walk through 75% of the store due to the walkways being totally jammed with merchandise that they had brought in from outside. It’s a small store anyways — about the size of a hotel room. It also seemed to pain 2 of the employees to help me. Couldn’t get close to 75% of the merchandise so obviously would need more helping. There were 4 – 5 employees staring at me in the back part of the store with their coats on, waiting to leave. I felt extremely uncomfortable. 2 days before Christmas? I came to spend money! Give me a break! Baggers at the grocery store have better attitudes.

Had them out again this week, they are truly artists… plants are hard to find in the city between a long winter & early summer but they came through in spades!

Rouvalis may be pricey, but quality has its price! There’s a clear difference between Rouvalis and typical online flower sites. The staff is incredibly understanding and helpful. Even on a busy holiday, Emily took the time to work with me and create the perfect order. I’m definitely a fan, and will be ordering from Rouvalis again!

I got the most beautiful bouquet of flowers today. I had just had horrible problems with a florist on Valentine’s Day. This delivery was a surprise and I was amazed. Thank you for making my day.

After buying many flowers here for special occasions and holidays, I placed a special order for a centerpiece for an important work dinner. I emailed Emily and told her what I was looking for, which was a contemporary jewel toned arrangement that was thin and elongated. My budget was $ 80 and after taxes and delivery it was close to $ 100. It arrived at my office on Friday and to blunt, it was one of the worst centerpieces I have ever seen. There were plain red daisys (80 bucks for daisys?) and a light blue hydrangea and some light purple kale. I called her and told her I wasn’t very happy with it, and asked her if she could fix it (trying to be polite as it was a few hours before my party). She had the delivery man come back to get it, then he proceeded to go to the truck and someone fixed it in the truck and brought it back to my office. The only thing she changed was to put a darker hydrangea and shove in a few purple stock flowers… at this point it was 4:30 and I didn’t have time to order a new one so I was stuck… and super disappointed.
I promptly called Twig, and took it there on my way home from work — within 20 minutes it was fixed and absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe I spent my $ 100 bucks (which was riduculously overpriced for what i got) at Rouvalis. In the past, they were the premier florist, but I will forever be going elsewhere after this. The people at Twig were so awesome — I’ll be their customer for life.

Recently went into rouvalis for first time, purchased some cut flowers. they lived for 2 weeks! and they were daiseys!!!
