The Good: Exceptional Service; Oysters for $ 1 each from 4:00 — 6:00; great beer selection; good food; lots of space; upscale feel. The Bad: Maybe hard to access if you are not staying at the Loews Hotel. The Rest: I was really pleasantly surprised. I had oysters; lobster sliders; meatballs; and IPAs. Everything was great!

So, Precinct has an interesting menu, some of which is pretty reasonably priced($ 1 oysters, sliders and bacon-wrapped-dates by the piece, etc), and seems to be fairly solid(the $ 12 pork nachos we had were pretty tasty and filling). But the drinks are too expensive for my tastes– $ 8 for beer, $ 14 for cocktails-, and the happy hour crowd isn’t my scene– lots of suits and bro dudes crowding around the(obnoxious IMO) dozen TVs throughout the space. The patio looks like a lovely place to spend a hot summer night, but overall I think there are other bars/patios I’d rather be at.

I discovered this new spot for snacks and drinks. They have 50 cent wings every NFL Sundays! They also have $ 1 oysters every day from 4−6pm! To me, this seems like a low key spo. There weren’t not a lot of people so we got to choose a good spot to watch the Patriots game. I liked their oysters selection! The oysters were fresh and delicious. We also got chicken wings and my favorite flavors were the classic buffalo and sriracha and sambal. You can wash the delectable food down with some beer and wine. They also have cocktails, but I did not get a chance to try them. They also have $ 1 oysters every day from 4:00 — 6:00pm! This is a good place for a date or to come with a group of friends. I recommend coming here to watch football on Sundays!

Went here today for drinks and appetizers with a group of friends. I had clam chowder that was very tasty and even came with an actual clam on top. My friends had the truffle fries which were delicious as well. Both portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive. When they accidentally dropped my friend’s truffle fries when serving them they quickly brought her a new dish. My only complaint is that this place is pretty loud, so probably not a good place for a date or intimate conversation.

Typical hotel restaurant: existing out of sheer necessity. The décor is half contemporary half rustic which makes no sense. The food is uninspired and flavorless. I had the short ribs and broccoli rabe. The broccoli rabe was steamed with zero sauce or seasoning. Any person of any skill level in the world could make better short ribs in a crockpot. Our server was nice but I asked him for a vodka soda and he replied«what kind of soda, coke?» No. Not coke.

My boyfriend and I love this place for their dollar oysters and clean interior. We normally sit at the bar or outside during the warmer months. The bar was full today so we decided to try the table service area. The service was 10⁄10. We were surprised by how courteous and professional all the staff were! We ordered 16 oysters but got 15. We alerted our server who apologized and the manager gave us two extra oysters! We also requested truffle oil on our mashed potatoes and it was delicious! I prefer it over the parmesan truffle fries. Although the menu could do with more variety, the $ 1 oysters make every trip worth it!

My husband and I came for thanksgiving a little concerned after reading Unilocal reviews, but we were SO glad we did! The appetizer bar was incredible, shrimp, oysters, crab legs(already split so you don’t make a mess), soup– please send me the recipe I’m dreaming about that soup, gorgeous salads, and deviled eggs like whoa! Then the entrée came and I immediately regretted wearing spanks and tights. Everything you could want for thanksgiving and then some. The dessert bar had beautiful little bit sized desserts, including pumpkin pie and pecan pie baby tarts, and perfect macaron. I’d travel back from Chicago just for thanksgiving next year and have already convinced my friends from Boston to spend their next thanksgiving there. Thanks for a great feast!!!

So I came here for the $ 1 oysters(4−6pm daily) and because it was in the hotel we were staying at. I figured that since we were in Boston… we couldn’t go wrong w/oysters for $ 1! Wrong. These were some of the worst oysters I’ve had… they did not taste fresh, smelled a little fishy, shucked poorly(little shells inside them, I had to spit one out)… Also ordered the meat charcuterie board — large quantity of meat for $ 18 — but in terms of quality, it basically tasted like anything I could get at a grocery store. I guess it was good value? I noticed this place got very busy at the bar, seemed like a good place to go for drinks, but I’d steer clear of the food.

What an awesome place! I came here recently with a client(their pick) and will definitely be coming back a LOT. The décor and vibe of the place are fantastic– nice low lighting and lovely ambiance. The décor(ok my HGTV geek is coming out) made me want to pin the whole place. The service is great– attentive but not intrusive. We had oysters, charcuterie board, lobster rolls, and gosh– I forgot what my clients had I was so loving what was on my plate– oh can we say Truffle Fries? Yes, please. The food and vibe are perfect. Great wine list– highly recommend.

I was here for Sunday football. Who am I kidding? I am not a big football person. I was really here for the Sunday football deals at Precinct! Everyday 4pm-6pm they have $ 1 east coast oysters from 4 different regions. For a big oysters fan like me, this is like heaven! I ordered 2 dozens of oysters. The oysters were super fresh and clean! A big turn off for me is slurping into sandy oysters. I love the cocktail sauce and the vinaigrette that comes with the oysters. I also love the oyster brine! I can probably have a few dozens to myself. On Football Sundays, they have $ 0.50 wings. I was craving wings finding out about this deal made my weekend! Their wings come in 3 different flavors, Sriracha & sambal, teriyaki ginger, and classic buffalo. I was looking for some kick and spice in my life so I ordered the Sriracha & sambal and buffalo. The wings were spicy and I liked it! The classic buffalo was a little dry for me and I wished it was more saucy. They have a good selection of beers on tap and also served in bottles. All the delicious food made watching football a little bit more interesting!

I had the pleasure of going to the Precinct last night, it was wonderful. Chef Greg came out to the table and had the tastiest dishes. Although this was for an event, I already am looking forward to my next time going there!

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and happy hour, and there are many things to love about Precinct: –Dollar oysters from 4pm-6pm daily. And they usually have a few varieties, while other restaurants usually only have one. –Stiff drinks: Yes, the bartenders here pour generously. –Nachos: They make a good one. I’ve eaten almost an entire plate of them by myself. –Outdoor patio seating: This one is self explanatory… they have these little string lights that hang above, and the patio itself is not sitting on street level, so you get the al fresco ambiance without being super close to street traffic. –Power lunch: On weekdays, they have a lunch special that they will comp if you’re not out the door in 45 minutes. It’s never happened with me though. Currently, they have this seasonal pumpkin spiced rum cocktail that is really good.

Awesome décor/lounge area inside the Loews hotel but unfortunately very average food. Suggest just coming here for a drink or sitting on the patio in the summer while grabbing an appetizer or some cheese/meat board. Went here for dinner on a double date and was disappointed. On a Saturday night at 8pm this place was super empty and I understand why. I got steak tips and my date got a pot of seafood with potatoes and corn. Not very flavorful food, but still decent. Probably won’t be back to eat but will come for a drink at some point!

I tried Precint with a friend a couple weekends ago. Overall it was a great experience and great meal. I have to say my favorite aspect was the waitstaff. Super friendly manager and amazing waiter! Our waiter was an older gentleman and seemed to have been in the business a long time. He was extremely professional and warm to us. We shared the crostini and kale salad for apps. I liked the crusty bread and cheese on the burrata, but would have preferred tomatoes over the red peppers it was topped with. The salad good and had interesting ingredients including kale and orange slices. Our entrees were the special(a whole branzino fish) and the scallops. We were both satisfied! Id love to go back to try the black cod and duck breast. The dessert list was the most mouth watering. We shared the apple crumble, pumpkin cheesecake and even beignets. All so delicious!

How did I not know about this place before?! It’s spectacular! The drinks, apps, entrees, desserts — everything! And I love the ambiance — perfectly cozy with an upscale flair. We had the burrata crostini and kale salad to start, then the whole fish and scallops for our entrée. All of it was great. I was probably most impressed with their extensive and seasonal-inspired dessert many. They had so many options — apple crumble, pumpkin cheesecake, beignets, lavender crème brûlée. So much! Incredibly friendly and kind staff. Will definitely be returning!

What I love about Restaurant Week is trying restaurants I have never heard of, like Precinct Kitchen + Bar! It’s tucked away inside a hotel, so I would have never thought of dining here until stumbling upon the Restaurant Week menu. I find Precinct’s Restaurant week menu to be unique, as it offers several options, and not to mention that they all sound so delicious! It was so hard to only pick one item for an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. So be sure to grab a friend and eat lunch here for $ 25! Such a steal! I actually think Precinct’s lobster roll is one of my favorites. They add a citrus zing to it, so it tastes really refreshing. I also like it doesn’t have too much mayonnaise in its concoction. As for the appetizers, the burrata was meh, but the clam chowder is pretty solid. A bit watered down, though. The desserts were so decadent and yummy. The chocolate lava cake is to die for, and their greek yogurt parfait is so delightful! It’s actually more like a block of frozen yogurt, topped with granola and fruit. It’s perfect for a summer day. The size for both were quite generous. Precinct is a cute little place. I definitely plan on coming back one more time for restaurant week ;) Service could be a bit better… server wasn’t super attentive, nor helpful with food recommendations. It was a little awkward.

Oyster stop number two comes from Boston Eater’s Ultimate guide to $ 1 Oysters, a list of about 50 restaurants within the Bay that will be garnering my attention this summer. Precinct was an easy choice due to the day of the week. Every day from 4:00 — 6:00 pm this little bar under the Loews on Berkeley street features a variety of local mollusks, ready to be gobbled up. Additionally, it’s immediately across the street from my new work home so I had 0 choice but to fall in. Once I found my way down the stairs from the main drag the space is cave-ish and comfortable. I sat at the bar [as I always do] and was quickly attended to. The staff behind the bar seemed a little bit full, but as I stumbled in around 5 that was to be expected for the impending rush. Surprisingly at 5 it was not yet crowded, so no wait to get ordering. The Pros: There is an assortment of 4 different oysters, all from the East Coast. Today’s assortment featured: Katana Bay(Martha’s Vineyard MA), Blue Point(Long Island, NY), Powder Point(Duxbury, MA) and Malpeque(P.E.I, Canada); I ordered 3 of each. The Blue Points and the Malpeques, I especially liked, so each of those were given an extra order afterwards. Sweet to the taste, with a side of cocktail sauce, vinegar, and of course lemons. The Con: [this is where the stars fall off] The wine list is mediocre at best, at least what I ordered. First too tart with the Chardonnay, then way too sweet for the Pinot Grigio. I was a little at a loss what to get, I should have asked for samplers. That’s on me. I will be switching back to my steady Vodka Soda. [mind the well choice! it was just upgraded from Smirnoff to Grey Goose in the past 2 weeks] The Biggest Con: You lose an entire star for the atrocious Cocktail Sauce!!! Now, while I am new to Oysters, I have been eating this condiment for years. [Thanks Dad! for making such great sauce, great grandma would still be proud]. I was practically slightly vinegar’d ketchup. AWFUL! One of the Bartenders was good enough to bring me an entire scooping of straight horseradish [which was incredibly mild so I understand the difficulty from the get-go] so I could adjust it. For the portion of already prepared«cocktail sauce», [~2oz], I added an additional 1.5 tsps of mild horseradish and .5 a tsp of vinegar. Then it started t0 taste remotely normal. So please STEPUPYOURCOCKTAILSAUCEGAME!!! If they fix this, I will adjust to 4 stars. Great for groups so will come again.

Dropped by this place after dinner at Grill 23 across the street. Nice outdoor seating area with strings of lights, which would be nice in the summer and when it’s warmer out. Drinks were good. I got a Moscow mule which was yummy. Mojitos are strong! Drinks are decent priced, spent $ 12 on my drink and tip. Would come back here for the outdoor seating area when it’s warmer. Bar area inside is nice and sleek. Wasn’t too busy, which was nice. Waiter was not very nice.

Our breakfasts in Boston consisted of a quick stop to the lobby each morning so on our last day we decided to make a stroll over to the Lowe’s hotel where Precinct Kitchen was. I’m a sucker for a great Eggs Benedict so I chose the Back Bay Benedict — buttery biscuits with crispy bacon and two perfectly poached eggs covered with a light hollandaise sauce. It was paired with blistered cherry tomatoes and well seasoned home style potatoes. Washed it all down with a clean and refreshing unsweetened iced tea. Breakfast perfection! If we had more time I would of loved to come back for lunch or dinner. Service was great and the space was really hip with an open window into the kitchen.
