I went with my friends to Phở Le for the first time. Got the banh bot lac to share as appetizer. It was well made, a little on the greasy side with too much shallot oil but still good. The only complaint is the dipping sauce which is way too sweet. I had the phở ga; which again is way too sweet. Feels like I m eating noodles in a sweet chicken broth; not in a good way. My friends had the bun bo hue n phở dac biet; which they said is good. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Place is clean n service is efficient. Will return to try other items that fellow Unilocalers rave about.

I was so sad to leave Le’s when I made the move from Allston to Dorchester — but Phở Le is in the same restaurant family and two blocks from my house. Win! I’ve had all different variations of the phở and my regular order is the #45 with beef — grilled beef with vermicelli and spring rolls. It’s my favorite meal in the entire world. The portions seem larger here than the other locations, too. The beef is sweet and warm and the ratio of greens to noodles is perfect. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, this would be it. The phở is good too — the broth has a lot of depth and the portions are huge for the price. We always get takeout, so I can’t speak to the service. But it’s always clean, crowded and get our food quickly when we go in.

I love it here. Great food and service! My go to when I’m in the area. Their short beef ribs with rice is bomb, and their bo la lot… Just everything!

Authentic Vietnamese food made well. Whether it’s the phở or the vermicelli noodles everything is done well and fresh. The food I get there is consistent and brought out in a timely manner. Even though it’s good, Dorchester is filled with Vietnamese restaurants. While I think it is better than many of the other phở restaurants i don’t think the food sets itself apart from many of the other places.

I go here once or twice a month for lunch. We usually get the fried fish here since it’s so so so so so delicious! You would have to call and order 45 – 60 minutes in advance to get the fish since it does take a long time to cook, but it’s all worth it. You get a whole fish that can feed 4 – 5 people. You just need to tell the restaurant how many people are in your party and they will give you a small or big fish. Then you will make rolls from the fish, veggie, vermicelli, and rice paper and dip in the sauce(mam nem). I can’t ever stop eating this even after I am super full because it is that good! Their bun bo Hue, phở, or bun mang vit are all delicious! I consider this the best Vietnamese restaurant in Boston pretty much. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try authentic Vietnamese food.

I would’ve given this place a 4 star god the food but the service knocked off a star. Our serve me didn’t seem too knowledgeable off the menu. A member of my party asked for extra cilantro and our server didn’t seem to know what it was even though it came in the soup. The restaurant wasn’t too busy when it took our server 15 minutes just to drop off our check and came back to check us out. Their credit card machine seems to be broken also which would have been nice to know beforehand. But luckily I had cash on me which is a rare thing.

Everything is wrong with this place, parking, food, server. Food lacked in flavor, let me rephrased that(authentic flavor) diluted hoisin sauce, phở made from instant base & not with spices and beef bones. Phở hoa use to be in this location till they expand to 3 location and all tasteless. Phở is not even their specialty anymore. If it can be done proper.

Fresh food! Great and friendly servers! They are consistent and make excellent suggestions. They are excellent if you eat in or take it to go!

Overall good experience– both me and my girl enjoyed our meals and beverages, server was pretty attentive, food was fresh, tasty and we were not disappointed. One of the managers on duty came over towards the end of our meals to check on us and see how it was, etc. Which was very nice and added to our experience . The menu offers several choices which will def have me coming back at some point.

Excellent food and service. My wife and I are from California and we stopped in and took a chance. The waitress was patience with us and took time to explain the menu. The service was fast and the Phở was hot and fresh. The only knock I have on this place is I ordered the Lemongrass Ribs and it was cold when it got to the table. Other than that, great restaurant. Edited(After I tried Viet food in Chicago) Lovely place! First of all, for the reference, Im pure Vietnamese(and im a great eater) so my review is guaranteed. I was on a short trip to Boston last weekend and my friend told me to try this place. I live in nyc and i gotta admit there’s no such place as good as this one. I’ve been always craving for real viet food and now im quite satisfied. Bun Bo Hus is quite good. The broth is right on point! There’re just some missing things that they use the wrong kind of beef and a bit more of chopped lemongrass would be nice. I love Goi Ngo Sen! It just felt like i was in Vietnam for a while lol ToT. My friend had Bun Rieu Cua and it’s actually more like Hu Tiu. Banh Bot Loc is okay. The staff is really nice and not sketchy as many ppl said at all. And of course you know you never have to complain about price at a Viet restaurant. Hope to get back real soon.

Phở was lack of consistency, some days it’s delicious and full of flavor, another days that I just put my unfinished noodle soup bowl aside and got up to pay, then head to a different place. I also had the combination rice plate, it was the worst, the whole plate looked really appealing, but everything on that plate had no flavor, the shred pork & grilled pork, meat cake, eggs all were so bland that I couldn’t eat half of it. The good ones that I had so far were the clear dumplings, seafood egg noodle soups, bun bo hue. Fair prices, huge portions, but whatever I had was so unmemorable.

This place has plenty of parking which is a plus but the staff here are pretty slow. When it comes to simply ordering when dining in or for to go, it takes them awhile. Don’t forget when paying for the bill too, that’s when you start to get a bit bothered from all the waiting. Other than slow staff, there is a large variety of dishes which is a plus. I’ve only tried their Phở dishes and rice combination plates. Price is a bit more compared to other places in the area but they do give more meat(sometimes). As for Taste, it’s decent, not something I can’t find in other Phở restaurants. Some people prefer this spot over other places but I think the rave gave me too high of a expectation therefore left me a bit disappointed. It’s just a normal vietnamese place with good decent food. It’s good don’t get me wrong, I just know there are better places.

Decent vietnamese food. Personally i still prefer thao ngoc and saigon seafood to Phở Le. Its advantage over the others is the clean spacious seatings available. Some good popular dishes you should try are: Bun Bo Hue, Com Hen, Bun Mang Vit.

Just amazing. Very authentic Vietnamese food. I do not think you can go wrong getting anything here. Quick service too. Got the goi cuon(shrimp spring rolls) and nem nuong to start. Spring rolls were fresh with the pork, shrimp, lettuce and vermicelli. Good peanut sauce to dip into. The nem nuong meat was good and the fried thing inside was a nice texture to compliment. I got the bun dac biet(special vermicelli bowl). All of it was good. I finished my entire bowl. And my uncle got the bun bo hue and he said it was the best he has ever had out. Two thumbs up. I have been here a few times before for their fish dish that everyone raves about. All amazing.

If you can fill tables when it’s down pouring outside, and on a Monday night, you know you’re doing something right. My friend recommended that I come here for some authentic Vietnamese food and boy was she right. This was some of the best I’ve had in Boston. Before I get into the food, I want to talk about the top notch service that our waiter had. Oh, and he could barely speak English. He was was attentive at all times, taught us how to properly eat our dishes, and was super friendly. I first had the beef and broccoli which was probably some of the best I’ve had. You could tell that the ingredients were so fresh. Then I ordered the 7 course beef special, but just narrowed it down to the butter beef, vinegar beef, meatball, and then the beef skewers. For those who have never tried this before, be adventurous and give this a shot. The lemongrass beef skewers stuffed with onions were my favorite. The butter beef was also pretty amazing and it’s fun because you get to wrap them into your own spring rolls. For the price you pay and the food that you get, I’m a huge fan of this place. I’ll definitely be back.

Strollin’ down Dorchester and this is the most poppin’ Vietnamese restaurant on a Saturday evening. So Phở Le has a lot to offer on their menu but not everything they specialize in but though it was pretty decent over here. –Spring Rolls — Would order again, although it seemed rushed when made and was a little watery on my plate –Egg Rolls — Not bad, nothing too special in my opinion –Grilled Beef w/Rice — You can’t really mess that up so it was good and filling –Baby Clam Vermicelli — Buddy got that and said it wasn’t bad, although he kept saying his grandma made it better hahaha Definitely would come back since it had a super nice family atmosphere with nice service!

Excellent phở. Many non traditional offerings such as bamboo and duck($ 9.25). This version of phở is duck broth with vermicelli and bamboo shoots. A rich although slightly more earthy flavor than traditional phở. Chopped duck salad is served on the side with fish sauce and shredded cabbage and peanuts. Spring rolls($ 4.50) are available either with shrimp or pork and are made on demand hence fresher than many other spots where they are premade in bulk and served as they are ordered. Standard beef, fish, chicken bowls are available as well. Very quick service.

Anyone that knows me knows I’m not a fan of phở. I’m viet and my father is a cook so needless to say I see it on a daily basis. What I like about this place is the fact that they serve northern specialties, which I’ve failed to find elsewhere. For those that don’t know, most phở places serve southern Vietnamese style dishes. The Bun Hen(baby clams bun) was absolutely mouth-watering. I’ll be back to try the other northern dishes. The menu here is a real gem, offering delicious rarities. The free private parking lot is another star in my book. No need to worry about parking on Dot Ave where drivers like to speed and occasionally ram into side mirrors.
