For a FREE look at medical history, including some cool interactive exhibits, slightly creepy objects(trepanning drill, bone saws, etc) and panels explaining many aspects of medicine, his small museum at MGH can’t be beat. Did I mention it’s both awesome and free? The docents are helpful, but unobtrusive. The star-trek-like interactive table that is used for virtual dissection training is fascinatingly gross and worth asking for a demo of. Just a note: there’s not much to see upstairs(just a gallery of busts and paintings, so you might want to skip it, or at least temper your expectations about more cool exhibits on the 2nd floor.) Also nearby visit the Ether Dome — the birthplace of anesthesia.
