Great authentic Italian food. The olive oil with the bread is amazing, as is the sangria! A little pricy for lunch, but they were very accommodating for our party of 10.

Place was recommended by the server at the Union Oyster House. Had lasagna, son had thw fettuccine Alfredo. Lasagna was ok but honestly not something I havent had anywhere elae. Fettuccine was good but again, not I ver the top. Nice dinner but for the North End, there are better places.

Pretty typical Italian place. Marinara sauce was very tasty, but the bread they give you with the meal is cold and stale. Will definitely try other places next time we are in the North End.

If you want to feel like part of a really big, fun and loud Italian family — you need to come here. The folks here take care of you and make you feel right at home — with great service and phenomenal food. Love the ambience too — sweet and romantic. Would definitely come back!

My husband and I did not want to wait and go to one of the top rated restaurants, starving and thought how can we go wrong with any Italian Restaurant in the North End. We couldn’t be more wrong on that! As others have written, of course we read after we sat down, the bread was very stale and the sauce was as bland as you can get. My husband actually said this is in the worst Italian food he has ever had! He’s from Boston and is embarrassed and ashamed! He said, «the worst Italian food in Texas is better than this garbage!» Texas is now where we live. I even stopped a couple at the door and said, «stop, don’t go in! Turn around and save yourselves!» $ 80 later, we will make sure we check Unilocal prior to going to another place in the North End.

Frustration sets in while driving around the North End looking for parking. Once we found the only spot for blocks it was just a stones through from Pagliuca’s. What a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the Veal Parm while my wife had the Eggplant Parm. Couldn’t ask for a better meal. It started with an Italian bread the was piping hot crispy crust and so soft and warm the butter melted instantly. We will be back.

My cousins and I found this restaurant and thought, it can’t be that bad if it’s in the North End, right? Even though there’s no wait… well, we should have figured what we had gotten ourselves into when we received the stalest bread I’ve ever had in a restaurant. After everyone had tried their entrees, not one person thought their dish was better than 2⁄5 stars, and the majority of the group found their food terrible. My cousin ordered a soup that he called«horrendous» and«like Chef Boyardee.» Multiple people had an alfredo dish that tasted distinctly like it had come out of a jar from the market. My dish was a simple marinara pasta, hard to screw up, but it had a particularly heavy and greasy smell, and left me feeling nauseous after the meal. Things got worse when we got the bill. Naturally it was higher than we had expected, but worse than that, it was completely illegible. By then, multiple cousins were upset and I think it’s safe to say that none of us left the place feeling satisfied in any way. The waitress definitely did her best though.

We chose this place because we liked the simple, easy to understand menu with classic choices like chicken parm and spaghetti carbonara. The food was decent and we didn’t wait too long. My boyfriend had a hard time getting his water refilled which was slightly annoying. I would recommend this place for a simple nice Italian dinner, not the fanciest.

Excellent little spot! When your waitress calls you honey, recommends the meatballs since she just made them earlier that day, and the staff are chatting in Italian… it’s a good place. The pasta was a perfect al dente, husbands chicken was awesome, and the meatballs were as folks as recommended! Been coming here for years.

Ordered food — veal dishes were not too good and the risotto with seafood was undercooked. Bread was also stale. Not worth it.

Not really impressed. Ordered the carbonara, which came with hardly any pancetta and literally a soup of bland alfredo sauce. First restaurant on Hanover St. that I did not like. Great family-friendly atmosphere, but really below par in terms of the quality of food.

I go here twice a month with 20 – 40 people and have never had a bad meal– or service for that matter! Can’t say better things about this family-owned gem.

Wow… this dining experience was like a trip to Italy no passport required. Nestled nicely in «little Italy» I elected to get dropped off by Über(parking is impossible). The front of the restaurant opens to the street allowing you to enjoy the breeze and passer byers. I had the mussels over linguine. Perfectly seasoned and fresh! This place is definitely on the must do list.

Went with my family to this place, since every other place in the North End was closed. The food was alright, nothing out of this world. The décor is very outdated, just like the people working here. I recommend the lasagna, very good. The fetuccini alfredo were kind of greasy. The two sisters working there were very nice but too nosy and loud. Go there if you’re hungry and every other restaurant is closed.

I haven’t eaten here in 5 years, but recently(06/24/2015) my wife and I stopped by for lunch, I remembered that the food here was good on my last visit. We walked in, got seated, they gave us menus, no wine menu, a basket of cheap, store bought(low quality) stale bread, and then we sat there for 20 minutes, in a restaurant that only had customers at two tables(so, with my wife and I there were 6 total people in the restaurant), no one took our order, spoke to us, checked on us, before long we were the only customers in the restaurant, the waitresses folded napkins and put away silverware, we stood up, left, no one said a word to us as we left, we went to Antico Forno and had GREATSERVICE and FOOD. Our suspicion is that we were not served because we have tattoos, but we were professionally dressed(I’m a professor, she’s a health worker), polite, and can’t figure out why the service there was so bad.

If you need to find a place to eat in Little Italty pick this place! Joe — the owner — is amazing and makes you feel part of the family! The food is to die for! Ask for there off menu specials and this amazing oil sauce to dip your bread in! All the entrees are plenty of food to split entrees with adults and you will feel it’s a full portion! Such a great place with great italian food! Will definitely come back and visit Joe at Pagliuca’s restaurant next time I’m in Boston!

Stopped by on Monday for lunch. I got the chicken verdicchio my sister got chicken broccoli ziti, my mom got chicken parm. and my brother in law got mussels. The restaurant is very charming and had great ambience. We had a great window seat and our waitress was attentive. Overall we enjoyed the experience. Our father is the cook in the family so we were constantly comparing his food to theirs. We liked that the serving sizes were huge. The chicken broccoli ziti had a rich creamy sauce and a crap ton of chicken and broccoli :) My chicken verdicchio had tons of good veggies and and a nice wine sauce. My mom’s chicken parm was good and my b.i.l had no complaints about his mussels. The only con I can think of is the red sauce was weak. we’re used to more spice. We’d definitely visit again ;)

Food was welcomed after over half an hour of waiting after we ordered. Food was satisfying, but does not warrant the $$ price tag. Overall good experience, but I probably will not be stopping in again…

Excellent, friendly experience at dinner last night. The matriarch of the family served our table. Our table sat along open windows with a wonderful view of the bustling North End street. An idyllic Boston experience for a tourist like me. There was a wide selection of pastas(at least some if not all were home made) and sauces. It was a little overwhelming to pick which combination I wanted for dinner and our server helped me make a decision. The most memorable experience happened after dinner. A friend sat outside for a smoke and shared conversation with the restaurant’s owner learning about the upcoming Saint Anthony’s festival taking place on his street and the mirror versions of a celebration that his brother was running simultaneously in their hometown in Italy. He would not let us leave until we samples some complimentary limoncello with him.

I’d say the food is a solid 3 here and the service is a 5… So, 4 stars it is. My brother and i went to the North End with no specific place in mind and ended up walking by Pagliuca’s. We noticed the 2 for $ 50 deal in the window which included either a soup or salad each, one entrée per person from the sheet and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. My brother went for the Pastina soup and the Chicken Parm for his entrée and he loved his meal. I went for the Escarole Soup and the Penne and Meatballs with Meat Sauce. I wasn’t exactly thrilled with mine as i was unaware that it was going to be a meat sauce as opposed to the traditional red sauce. I suppose this was my fault for relying on my Italian class skills from 15 years ago…(the entrees are all in Italian on the sheet) My bad… It wasn’t bad, just not what i expected. The service was very friendly and dishes were always cleared away briskly. Can’t wait to come back to try something different next time.
