I’ll just go ahead and describe my experience. I ran out of cigarettes while on Newbury and since CVS stopped selling, i was only left with this shitty option. I walk in, stand in line and the cashier dude is trying to sound funny and all. My turn, I ask for a pack of Marlboro lights he rings up $ 10.25 as the price, which is obviously higher than regular price($ 8.00). I tell him no thanks i’ll get it from somewhere else, he goes«yeah go and don’t come back» then he starts saying that i’m rude!!! Normally i’d let something like this go but the guy piss me off and I’m reporting this business to the FTC Bureau…

I’m not sure who is writing these reviews and how much stock they have in this place, but someone needs to investigate. I am sure the guy that owns this place is nice enough, he’s always friendly. I am sure that their overhead, what with the rent in Back Bay, is sky high. But seriously, 3 bucks for a Poland Spring soda water? This place should only be a last resort, if everything else is closed and paying concert prices for things doesn’t phase you. They kind of have the market cornered though because the closest convenience store is about 4 windy blocks away.

I really enjoyed having Nora’s in the neighbor hood. They are a regular convenience store, but with some differences: they are family owned, very clean, good prices, and good selection. When I was in town I always looked forward to grabbing a drink and the journal in the morning there. After you go in 3 – 4 times they remember you by name.
