Service from beginning was horrible. Slow to stop by. Slow to take order. Bread took forever so I cancelled. Food was meh. Nothing memorable. Should of listened to other Unilocal reviews and skip this place. Good thing I’m an out of towner and won’t be coming back.

Just had the best experience at Nebo. I had the pleasure of having Allison as my waitress and cannot say enough good things about Nebo, the food, and the service. I’d recommend Nebo and Allison any day of the week.

Cool place, excellent service. Ordered gluten free pasta from the gf menu. Didn’t contain the sausage I had hoped for. Make sure you ask the server exactly what is available from that menu.

Visited Boston last weekend & my cousin took me to her favorite after work spot, Nebo! My husband & I loved it! We started with the Burrata and Arancini and they were delicious. I liked the twist on the Arancini with serving them with honey. Our entrees were fantastic as well & the staff is so friendly! Highly recommend :)

Went to Nebo with a party of 7, and graciously sat by the GM they had a table in the private dining room set up for us, which was perfectly offset from the rest of the restaurant. From there our server Paul took the rest of the night away. Pointing out a bottle of Amarone for 95 $(what a deal if you enjoy fine wine). We started off with the salumi board which was all fresh assorted italian cold cuts, calamari(cooked perfectly), the burrata cheese, and a cheese pizza with prosciutto on it! There was no rushing between courses which I was happy about Paul let us enjoy the night to the fullest. My entrée was the veal milanese. Breaded fried veal cutlet cooked to perfection followed by rucola and baby cherry tomatos! We even had dessert the fried dough rags ! phenomenal for sharing ! THANKYOUNEBOFOR A GREATNIGHTONTHETOWN

I came here with friends for lunch. One of my friend has celiac and therefore allergic to gluten. She asked if she can talked to the chef. They said no need. The food had canned beans which contains preservatives, which contain gluten. We asked again for the chef to explain. But instead the manager came(Brian) and was very rude. He told us that this was not true as they did their research(whatever that means). All we wanted was: «sorry our mistake can I get you anything else». Instead«not true! Do Not lecture me. you want something else?!!». The food was ok. The service lady was ok. The manager Brian is not good for you guys… The only reason for one star is that they did comp the untouched salmon & beans.

Excellent. Sat outside on the patio and was a great atmosphere. Drinks were good and food was great. Got the burrata which was delicious and the meatballs as well. Also got the Mare shrimp pizza which was a must have!!! Zucchini lasagna was very good too! Great place for an early din and to relax outside.

The food is decent, not horrible but it is way overpriced for something I could recreate at home. Add VERY snooty and slow service and I say skip it. Walk a few blocks further to the North End. You won’t regret it.

Wow. Where to start. The food is just not complimentary with what you are paying for per plate. It’s a joke. As another reviewer said, the chicken and lemon and caper entrée is nasty. Two thin, thin pieces of chicken breast salted to death with sour sour sour notes. Nothing about it was balanced. In the end for two people we paid 60 bucks for two entrees and some seltzer water. We left hungry. That was a first. I would give the place a one star, but the staff was awesome and the décor was so bright and clean.

Flavorless meatballs and Bolognese; why screw up arancini with honey? Service people very nice, but delivery of basics like wine and new cutlery slow. Sitting outside now; perhaps should try pizza next time.

Went here for lunch today with a group of girls from work. We all ordered different items from the menu, and were all delighted in our picks: Zucchini Lasagna(my pick, delicious), two of the sandwiches-The Puglia(Burrata, tomato and thin sliced Mortadella) and The Sicily(Italian tuna, hard boiled egg wedges, cannelini beans and provolone)-both served on Ciabatta, and the Salmon dish. Service was good, nothing spectacular but overall nothing to complain about on that front. I liked the bright decore and the host staff was very attentive. My only complaint, albeit a small one, was that they charge for bread. We were asked if our table would like sparkling, still or tap water(for which we chose flat), and if we’d like bread. We were not told that the bread would cost extra. It was only $ 2.50 for a good portion of olive oil and garlic rubbed rustic bread, but I think that is something that should be told upfront if they are asking if you’d like it. Overall, I would definitely go back to try some of the pasta dishes as we were more than satisfied with our lunch choices.

Nebo is fantastic! From entering into the beautiful space with super high brick ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, wood floors, and open kitchen I knew I was going to be happy! Well it did not disappoint. The service was tremendous, food fantastic with some old school fav’s as well as trendy additions. Must try the 85 yr. old bread recipe, it is amazing and goes well with the Burrata and meatball apps. The cioppino is a must try if you love seafood, truly a perfected recipe by chef Carla and a well-trained kitchen staff. Bryan, Chef Carla’s Husband, runs a smooth front of the house staff that is well trained, courteous, efficient, and steeped in hospitality. Can’t wait to go back.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing(s), or came on an off night, because I cannot understand the stellar reviews preceding mine. Tuesday night, came for a work event with 10+ others. There isn’t a waiting area, just a crowded bar that blends with some seating spots, so when the hostess refused to seat us without the entire party, the 8 of us present had a hard time finding a place to stand that wasn’t in every other person’s way. That said, the interior is very appealing — dark, modern-rustic, with some view into the kitchen but without being too open. The bathrooms were chic, the dining room large. All good. Service was good, only complaint was the weird menu disappearing trick in the first act; we got our menus for drinks and then they were taken away, then got the same menus back to order dinner. Odd. Otherwise, waters were refilled quickly and our large group was well handled. The food was a total flop. Another review slammed the bread cost, to which a manager replied describing the great caliber of their bread and explaining that all restaurants roll bread into the price, and Nebo does not. I beg to differ, with two tiny chicken breasts and not a damn thing else on the plate(well, don’t let me forget the lemon wedge and 12 capers, I’m sure those are extra) running $ 20+. I would tend to side with the management here, IF the numbers supported the argument. They don’t. Taste wise, I could have sucked a lemon and gotten the same dinner with 1⁄1000 of the calories and cost. The Bibb salad was a joke. It had Gorgonzola cheese — which typically is a «sorry I ordered the stinky cheese» type of cheese, yet all I could taste was a delicious(and amazingly fresh) plate of air-like greens. The chicken was so bad I didn’t finish it. SO tart, not«tart complimenting the capers and sauce», face-pinchingly tart. Chicken? Lemon. Capers? Lemon. Sauce? Lemon. There was no reprieve, and I’m someone who loves citrus. By the way, before I get a reply challenging me, no — I did not squeeze any of the lemon wedge on my lemon dinner. Didn’t drink, so can’t speak to the quality of the alcoholic beverages, but I did have seltzer and I had to send two back(?? Never had to do that before — one was flat, one tasted very strange), but they were replaced quickly. Needless to say, I probably won’t return.

Honestly, one of the best dining experiences that I’ve ever had. Our food was absolutely delicious, and I just loved the atmosphere — the tall ceilings and hanging lights make it feel really cozy yet still upscale. Our service was great as well; our waiter made a number of great suggestions(especially the Nutella pizza and spumoni sundae for dessert!) and he was careful to warn me about the bones in the Branzino when I ordered it because it’s served as a whole fish. The octopus is a MUST — it was so good. We also tried the rigatoni, arugula salad, eggplant parm. Everything was great. I also love how they have a really extensive gluten-free menu. This place is always bustling, now I know why!

LOVE the pizza, cocktails, and atmosphere here. Definitely a hoppin after-work spot but also great for a romantic date night. The pugliese pizza(fresh Burrata, tomato sauce and basil) and the patate pizza(golden potato, Rosemary, Gorgonzola, mozzarella, and pancetta– which you can nix if, like me, you don’t eat bacon) are both AMAZING. also tried the cenci(fried dough ‘rags’) for dessert last time I was here and they are also delicious. I’ve had solid service multiple times here but they definitely don’t hide their desire to up sell which can be a little overbearing. For cocktails I recommend the La Roccia and Gin Ginger; the Tito’s lemonade is also good but the first two I mentioned are my faves

Drinks were exceptionally tasty and well crafted. The establishment and ambiance is quite nice, and service was attentive and friendly. The food fell completely flat in that it lacked flavor and freshness. I ordered the Arctic Char, which was a pricier dish on the menu and wanted an option to switch out the baby clams… they could offer nothing instead told me that swapping out items would be an additional charge. They charged $ 2.50 for grilled bread that they called«bruschetta». I don’t think I’ve ever paid for bread at a restaurant… I would go back for cocktails but would not recommend this to anyone for dinner. With all the amazing Italian just a half mile down the street in the North End, and for a portion of the price, it just doesn’t make sense. This place needs to up their game if they want to price as gourmet Italian.

I guess this is popular for lunch because of a lack of options nearby or something Service is slow I guess I should’ve gone with a sandwich or pasta for lunch, but I wanted to keep it light. I ordered the steak salad(steak, «rustic pesto», tomatoes, capers, parmesan over romaine) First off, I didn’t want romaine, but nope of course I can’t change that out for another type of lettuce(since when is this an issue?). The steak was well overcooked and tasteless. I’m not sure what the rustic pesto was made from because I got no flavor from it. The tomatoes were literally 4 roasted cherry tomato halves. I was served what had to be an entire head of romaine. The parmesan was good, but fresh shaved parm is pretty consistent. I ordered without the capers because they have no place in this«salad». The dressing was a cup of olive oil on the side. I’m supposed to dress romaine with olive oil? come on Anyway, $ 19 for a terribly executed plate of random things was ridiculous. The pasta portions looked pretty small for $ 20+ too

I can’t help but feel that this review has been negatively affected by a recent trip to the food heaven that is Italy, but alas è quello che è. Let me start with some positives: The service staff is excellent here. Our waiter was appropriately concerned with every aspect of our service without being overly prying or obtuse. The manager also came out to ask whether everything was also served and taken care of. I was particularly impressed with this; it is a sign of true restaurant etiquette when a manager comes up to the table as a preventive measure instead of a corrective one. Nebo is also located in a prime location, if you can get a table outside during the warmer months of the year, I highly recommend doing so. We ordered calamari, octopus, braciole, margherita pizza, and the zucchini lasagna. Unfortunately, every single dish reeked of average. The local Italian restaurant in my lovely bumpkin town of Groton, MA serves similar dishes, and they cost 1⁄3rd of the price. I’ve said this in reviews before and I’ll say it every time this issue comes across: I’ll never be a stickler about price but if I’m going to be throwing out some serious dough for a meal, I expect a damn good meal. If you’re taking a client out to dinner, or going on a nice summer date, this place will suffice. However, if you’re a foodie like me and pay top dollar for the best food, look elsewhere; Boston has a plethora of other delicious options!

I visited Nebo with an out of town relative. I’d been wanting to try it for a while and was surprised that they don’t have higher stars! The atmosphere, food and service made it such a delightful experience. We sat on the patio and while it was a little tight space-wise, the wait staff knew how to maneuver around effortlessly. The food: we got the meatball appetizer and a big basket of grilled bread. The bread had an olive oil drizzle and they gave you plenty of it. Their signature dish is the zucchini lasagna that won«Beat Bobby Flay» so of course I had to try that and I was not disappointed! Never have I had a pasta substitute so delicious. The creamy ricotta and beef worked perfectly with the homemade sauce. One of the best Italian meals I have had in a long time. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but is well worth it for the quality and service. They could not have been more friendly and accommodating.

Came here with a friend to grab a bite to eat late on a weeknight. We had a reservation, but were easily seated in the main dining room. To start we decided to go with the burrata. We also had to order a side of grilled bread since it wasn’t already included – which I thought was odd. Nevertheless, this appetizer with the tomato jam and salami was one of the best I’ve had in Boston. The flavors of each ingredient were spot on and were heightened even further when paired. Because we are both big eaters, we decided to split a pasta dish as an appetizer as well. At the recommendation of my friend and the waiter, we went with the rigatoni. Don’t be fooled by the price – this is one of the best dishes on their menu. The pasta was flavorful and cooked perfectly and was a perfect portion to share. For my main course, I decided to go a little off of the menu and replaced the veal in the milanese with chicken. There were three large pieces of chicken served with this dish, and it was also very tasty. The chicken was lightly breaded, but was incredibly moist and flavorful. After this meal, we were quite full but actually came back the next night to try out their spumoni sundae. This dessert was quite large and satisfied my sweet tooth, but was definitely not at the level of flavor of the other food we had tasted. Overall, this place has friendly service, great food, and a great ambiance that make for a memorable dining experience. Worth checking out if you’re in Boston.

Had a lovely meal here last night. The atmosphere is a perfect balance of upscale and casual, just the way I like it. Nice contemporary décor inside, and a fairly large patio area(with heaters!) out front. Our server Devon was friendly and professional. She was helpful with suggestions and accurate with her descriptions. We started with the small bowl of mixed olives, which are served warm, and the bruschetta noce. The bruschetta bread was lightly grilled, spread with fresh ricotta with diced walnuts, then topped with fresh arugula, and a touch of honey. We quartered(and devoured) the single large slice of bruschetta. For my entrée I went with the paccheri con amatriciana. I wasn’t familiar with sauces from Amatrice — this one reminded me of a perfectly spiced arrabbiata style sauce with diced pancetta. The pasta(rigatoni) was fresh, and the dish is topped with a scoop of fresh ricotta. It was delicious. With the North End just a stone’s throw away, Nebo has a lot of competition in the area. I’d say they rise to the challenge pretty admirably. Ben fatto(which, in italian, means«well done» — but could also describe my physical state upon departure).
