Amazing brunch! Everything is every good. The banana pecan pancake was the highlight of our brunch. We also got the crème Brule french toast. It wasn’t as clutch as we thought it would be! Cash only by the way!

The food is good, but the waitresses are the best. We usually get Paula who is awesome. One day we went to the restaurant across the street, which is owned by the same people, but they had lost power, so we walked over to Mul’s. My step mother really wanted the veggie burger from Amrhein’s, but they don’t have that on the menu at Mul’s. Our waitress that day was Renee, who was so nice. She walked across the street and got all the ingredients for the veggie burger and had it cooked here. Great staff all around, and thank you Renee!

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try it and finally got the chance yesterday. Our waitress Renee was awesome. Mul’s has really great service and amazing food. I got Crème Brulée French Toast, 2 eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and coffee for about $ 10. They were playing some pretty good music too. I will definitely be going back! I really wish they’d open up at 2 – 3:00 am when the bars are closing. It would beat south street diner for sure. I would keep a heads up about their hours because they are usually open from 5am-3am, but only 5am-2am on sat and sun.

The saddest part of moving out of Southie for me was not being within walking distance of Mul’s. This place is a no frills diner with waitresses who are pro’s on their a-game. The food here is an amazing value and its always delicious. Coffee here is free flowing and you can expect your glass to have a refill before its even half way gone. There can be a long line on Saturday or Sunday mornings but it moves pretty quickly and in my opinion its worth the wait. Just be fully aware this is a CASHONLY establishment. Normally I would take off a star for that because I hardly ever have cash since its such a hassle and believe everyone should take credit cards in 2015 but I love Mul’s so much i would make an ATM run just for them!

Great local style diner. Although it looks closed it is very much open. Nothing is spectacular but everything is pretty good, and the service is great. Cash only is a bit of a pain. The veggie omelet is very good. I suggest ordering your home fries well done.

A great, affordable diner in South Boston. It is small so be prepared to wait on the weekends for brunch. The service is friendly and they are great about keeping your coffee mugs full. They also only accept cash so be sure to visit an ATM before you eat. My favorite item is the crème brûlée french toast. The flavor is truly as wonderful as it sounds :)

Mul’s is awesome! The #1 draw is the price. $ 7 gets you breakfast meat, eggs, potatoes, toast and coffee. The perfect breakfast for the cheapest price I’ve ever seen. The restaurant is spacious and has a true diner feel. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Stop by here before your day in Boston!

Amaaaaazing!!! BEST American breakfast I’ve ever had, period. Buttermilk pancakes, unbelievable! Crème Brûlée French Toast. No words to describe them. Sausage links, delicious! Bacon, as crispy as it gets! Every bite you take is full of flavor from the beginning to the end! Service, super friendly, super fast! I’m sure you won’t regret it, it will be the best decision you’ll ever make!

Great diner! This was a short walk from where we were staying and we ate there twice. First time, on a weekday morning around 10, no wait, sat right by the window. We ordered the #3 I think: two eggs, potatoes, corned beef hash, and a drink(iced tea, hot tea, or coffee). Tons of food, we split it between two of us and it was plenty. I’d never had corned beef hash before and liked it, my husband said it was the best he’d ever had. Second visit, Saturday morning at 10, this time had about a 15 minute wait, but again got lucky and had the same window seat I like. This time we split the #7: two eggs, potatoes, bacon, and upgraded our toast to cream brûlée French toast, which was really more like a dessert. Loved the brûlée crunchy topping! It was a lot busier on the weekend visit, but our waitress was still very nice and as attentive as she could be. I think this was probably the best value meal we had in Boston and I’m glad out last meal was that delicious cream brûlée French toast. Definitely recommend if you’re in the neighborhood!

A really great diner with a great value! Regarding the food, we had the crème brûlée french toast and the Irish breakfast. The french toast is really a dessert which is not necessarily a bad thing; just expect some pretty decadent creaminess and sweetness if you’re getting this for breakfast. They do go all out with the caramelized sugar on the top. The Irish breakfast was even more huge. There were at least 3 different types of meat I think and every element was done quite well. I would order this breakfast if I was particularly hungry for protein as it is very large and heavy. The staff was extremely friendly and well-spirited. We’ll definitely be back again if we’re in the area!

This place is awesome. Everything there is under $ 10! And the crème brûlée French toast is perfection. Whoever I’m dining with I make order the corned beef hash and I get the French toast so we can share and get something savory and sweet. Also service is good too! FYI cash only

Went here to grab a bite to eat for breakfast with a friend. There were a few tables open when we arrived, so we were seated right away. After reviewing Unilocal and the menu, we decided to go with the crème brûlée french toast, the ham and pineapple omelette, and the corned beef hash. The ham and pineapple omelette was probably the least amazing dish of the three, but it was still a well-done classic breakfast dish. The crème brûlée french toast was quite tasty. The crunch and smokiness of the sugar really served to add texture and depth of flavor. It was also not overly rich or sweet. My favorite dish was definitely the corned beef hash. Though it was just a simple mix of potatoes and corned beef, the meat was so tender and flavorful – it was really a perfect preparation to highlight the flavorful corned beef. Overall, this place is a great choice for breakfast and will get you in and out in a jiffy – high quality food, low prices, and friendly service, you really can’t go wrong at this joint.

Long have I wished to visit upon Mul’s Diner of crème brûlée french toast fame. Finally one pleasant Saturday afternoon was I able to entice a like minded fellow diner to the task. Parking was the first challenge. My tip is — read the signs. Some spots are okay for Saturdays that are more limiting for weekdays. I found my spot across the street, while my eating companion was a few blocks down W. Broadway. Mul’s Diner has a metal plated façade. It is located on the corner of W. Broadway and A Street, a short walk from Broadway Station on the Red Line. The narrow storefront is slightly deceiving as the diner stretches out back rather deeply. Mul’s was definitely larger than I had figured. Their House Specials are served with coffee(or tea — at least for me!). We opted for Number 3 $ 7.95 «The Best of Boston Homemade Corned Beef Hash» two eggs, home fries, toast, and ended up upgrading from the $ 7.50 a la carte Crème Brulee French Toast $ 7.50 for the Number 5 $ 7.50 two eggs, French toast, home fries, bacon or sausage, make it Crème Brulee for an additional charge $ 9.50(we did!). $ 2 for 2 eggs, home fries, meat, and tea? Don’t mind if we do! Her half did her in. Me, I pigged out and finished mine — well, except for the bacon, cause I like mine crisper. I nearly forgot to eat the french toast while it was warm, but reminded my DC to do the same once the thought occurred to me. We loved the creamy custard that was reminiscent of of the filling found in egg tarts sold in Chinatown, and I liked the crackle of the crystalized sugar coating. The hash was great as well, as it was made up of tender hearty chunks of corned beef. Having been given the choice of toast as white, wheat or rye, it was a pleasant treat to find our wheat dotted with raisins. When I asked if their syrup was real or fake, I received an apology for the sacrilege that was the artificial maple pancake syrup. I enjoyed our servers with their genuine friendliness and welcome attitude and was entertained by their friendly banter with one another. Cash only, but for those who weren’t in the know before coming out here, they do have an ATM located by the entrance. Oops, didn’t get to try their grilled cinnamon roll muffin. Next time I guess! FYI — their bathroom was rather chilly. Update: I’ve confirmed that patrons of Mul’s may indeed park across the street at the Amrhein’s, reason being, they have the same owner!

Over the Summer I met one of the waitress who worked here and she invited us to come down for breakfast so we did! My Goodness we were so happy that we did! Not only was breakfast delicious the service was amazing!!! We returned frequently to experience the great food and the friendly service. Unfortunately our last experience left us with a bad taste in our mouth we will never forget. We came in on a usual busy Saturday and got an older blonde waitress we never had before… We didn’t assume this was a problem as usual all the waitress’s here are nice especially the red head(not sure of her name) We were a group of five and it was my parents first time trying Muls so we were sure they would love it as much as we did… Sadly the waitress was so irritated with«our» table and our request… I can’t imagine that we were asking for much besides the usual things you ask for… More water, ketchup etc… She was beyond annoyed and her face showed it! We’ve never done this but due to the tension with the waitress we left without tipping her. When we went up to the register to pay the women at the register just apologized to us and seemed to already know that the waitress had a bad attitude. I really hate having to give muls such a low score because the food is really good and so is the service most of the time but being treated like that was enough to make me never come back again!!!

Tried the crème brûlée French toast after seeing it on Unilocal… I should’ve eaten it when it came out hot, shame on me! It still tastes good cold but I’m sure it was a lot better hot! Definately a thing to share with friends cause it is SOo sugary! Cute décor inside and our waitress was sweet! Food came out quickly and the coffee was fresh and hot! Street parking, can’t remember if it’s metered or not.

The best compliment I can pay Mul’s is that, upon entering, I felt like I was home. The interior showcases a classic diner design, complete with black-and-white tile floors and a bar with stools overlooking the kitchen. Service is curt, yet somehow still warm and loving. I received more than a couple squeezes of the shoulder from our waitress to let us know we were being well attended to. It reminded me of weekend brunches growing up with my mom back in the Berkshires. Specials run a mere $ 7.50 and will net you a cup of coffee(or hot chocolate if you’re like me and can’t stand the taste of java) and a heaping plate(or two, see picture) of food. I opted for the eggs, french toast, bacon, and home fries deal, and paid $ 2 extra to give my french toast the«crème brûlée» treatment. Best two dollars I’ve ever spent. The french toast was so good, in fact, that the rest of my breakfast staples(which were sorely lacking in seasoning), felt like an afterthought. When I inevitably return, my sights will be set squarely on that toast.

YES! The crème brûlée french toast tastes as amazing as it looks! I am absolutely in LOVE with this diner. The service is good and so is the food and everything is less than $ 10! So awesome!!! I also ordered the hawaiian omelette which was pretty good too! You’ll definitely find me here on my mornings off!
