Mike Betts prepared a meal in our home for our family. This was a Christmas gift for our grown kids and significant others. The evening was a huge success, thanks to Mike. He communicated well, in advance, to talk through menu ideas. He was professional, skilled, fun, relaxed — and the food was incredible! We highly recommend!

Mike made one of the top meals I have ever eaten. I did this for my wife’s birthday party and every course was spot on. We even had left overs for days. The ingredients were amazing and fresh and service was perfect. Recommendation could not get any higher for Mike!

I heard about Mike through a referral and thought it would be a great idea for my girlfriend’s birthday dinner. A private chef sounded awesome, fun, and different. I called Mike and he was immediately friendly and welcoming and very encouraging. Even though I called a week before the dinner, he worked with me to make sure it could work for us, and was very awesome with a great price. He sent me an extensive menu but told me he loved to do let his customers customize the menu to their liking so I sent him my girlfriend and I’s favorite four courses. He arrived the day of professional, on time, and ready to work and my girlfriend was so surprised and amazed. He remained friendly, caring, effective, while staying out of the way so we could enjoy our dinner. All the food was extremely fresh and delicious and the way he plated it, it looked like the best looking meal we’ve ever seen. After the four courses we can confidently say it was the best meal of our lives and I’m so happy I did it for her birthday. Mike gave us the best meal we’ve ever had in the comfort of our own home and I’d recommend him to anybody who’s interested in hiring a chef for the night. I’ll definitely be using him in the future!

I have used mike for private parties for several years now, and have to say that on the culinary scale of 1 — 10, it’s an 11. There is literally nothing better than having mike cook one of the best meals served anywhere in Boston (every restaurant included) in the comfort of your home, with your best friends at your pace. You may learn a cooking trick or 2 like I have.

I’ve booked mike for dinner parties in the past. Outstanding experience, fantastic food (in spite of one guests dietary restrictions) and highly recommended. Bonus: mike is very personable and professional. I recommend planning a few weeks in advance as you’ll want to carefully select your dinner guests and be sure they can attend. They’ll all owe you a favor when the last morsel is done!
