By and large fantastic, with one star off for a few hiccups in the service. We ate their on NYE which had limited service and perhaps they weren’t at their best because of the holiday and the special menu. The food was excellent and the cocktails were amazing. The butter soup is a real must-try in this our limited time on earth and most everything that followed(the duck and the wagyu in particular) were superb. The cocktails are also inspired. Unique without being awful(you know what I mean) and obviously a lot of time and thought went into their concoction. I took a star off for some service flaws. One of our dishes came out unfinished– missing a component, which I only realized because my plate had heart of palm and the other did not. When I mentioned it to the server and suggested he tell the kitchen, he almost had a heart attack. Secondly, my date was presented with the wrong desert at the end of the evening and the(different) server would not let me say so until he was done describing it. These aren’t epic failures(like L’Espalier, that vast and diverse collection of incompetent service experiences) but for a meal that ran over $ 700 for two people it precludes five stars. Again, perhaps this was just an overly ambitious holiday performance. Definitely willing to go back next time I’m in Boston.

High end restaurant, very elegant and charming. We had the 8 or 9 course dinner and every dish was delicious and very creative. The waiter warned us not to get the bread but of course it was impossible to say no to rosemary cranberry bread, pretzel roll or potato bread, so we ended up almost ina food coma. The restaurant is definitely pricey but at least it’s worth it.

With a bill tenderly teasing $ 500 for two people, you’re expecting one heck of an experience that’s meant to blow you away. Did it? No, but it was still damn good. I will hands down say it’s so far the best culinary spot I’ve been to in Boston, but am still hesitant to say that the price tag is worth the experience. In terms of allure, I prefer a few other places for romantic ambiance. But I guess people don’t necessarily go here to propose to their loved ones, but rather give the best night of their life to their taste buds. In the end, compared to the other fine dining that you can get in Boston, its expected you’re paying one of the most expensive meals available in the city as well. I’m skipping the décor(meh) and the service(good) as this place is meant to focus on food: This place has two main course menus(8 courses, but really more, I’ll explain further down). The choices are the«Elements» and the«Evolution» and the prices aren’t too dissimilar. The Elements, as of this review, hits a whopping $ 155pp. The Evolution? A «measly» $ 20 more at $ 175pp. Again, both are 8 courses, but the real difference is the offerings in each menu. Both provide fireworks for your taste buds, but it seems(as the name implies) the Elements menu focuses more on the traditional French, while the Evolution ventures into new territory with unique pairings. Guess which path we chose? The non-boring one of course! The Evolution menu(which could also be the same for the Elements, but we didn’t ask about that menu) is unique compared to other tasting menus we’ve experienced as it provides two different dishes with the same main ingredient for the majority of the courses. What? So fun, as my partner and I felt like we ordered different dishes, and tried each others for comparison. As for the food, it was delicious. Amazing. It melted my buds straight out of this world. So I won’t go over each and every dish, because this review would be a novel(go look at my pictures, they taste as good as they look, if not better). So, I’ll focus on the extras — the platter of mini-bites that come before your first course, the seemingly endless bread options that come at you between courses(PRETZELBREAD!), the cheese platter that’s tucked away in the corner of the room that’s available if you can stomach the extra food, the palette cleanser that’s offered to transition you from the savory food to the sweet dessert and lastly, the dessert tower that they bring out. AFTER your dessert. Wow, dessert for dessert, I struggled to finish the deliciousness as I was a stuffed turkey by then, but by gods, the sweets were a’calling! It seriously felt like 20 courses, and our stomachs couldn’t have been happier! Although, I will call out on the highlight of the night — the foie gras offering. First came a foie gras hot dog. WHAT? This was amazing. Whoever invented this deserves my soul. You can also top it off with some sauces and relish, but I only added a shy amount, as I focused on the taste and texture of the hot dog instead. Second, a trio of foie gras was also presented, prepared in different ways — seared, paste, and dust. This was so very heavenly, as you’re offered the chance to taste foie gras at it’s finest forms all at once. This was truly an absolutely grand item on the menu! Overall, I digress, this is a must try at least once in your life. Save up for the year, make it your new years resolution, and dress up for this culinary adventure! Again, at this price tag, I’m not sure how often I’ll go, but I’m definitely happy I went here at least once!

My husband and I made a reservation here a couple weeks in advance in an effort to kick off a great vacation the night before departing. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were told our table wasn’t ready though the dining room wasn’t busy at all. We grabbed a drink at the bar which were good though I must admit I expected more innovation based on the profile of this place. I had the Menton version of a Moscow Mule with Prosecco and my husband opted for a wine he really enjoyed. We decided to order plates a la carte given there were more things that we liked. We started with the Yellow Fin Tuna which was fatty, rich and delicious. Didn’t see any truffle but it paired nicely with the briny hearts of palm and sunchoke. Next was the King Crab which was good but lacked a certain punch to make it more memorable. The Wagyu beef was nothing short of spectacular. One of those dishes where you proclaim to never eat another cut ever again. The Tortellini in Brodo was great – the three varieties were super tiny but packed with flavor and that broth, ohh man that broth. I could have had an entire bowl of that magic. Additionally we ordered the foie hot dog as a friend told us to do so. Initially the server said we couldn’t order from the Gold Bar(even though our friends had less than a week prior and multiple items) and said we would need to sit in the bar if we wanted anything off that menu. We thought that was pretty poorly played. Thankfully the Captain of the dining room said it was fine and allowed us to stay seated instead of kicking us out to the bar. The hot dog itself was life-changing. Yup, you read that right. Do it, go sit in the Gold Bar one night and just get that, you will be ohh so happy you did. The only ish with this one, is that the bun isn’t molded like a cradle and fell apart too easily but that’s an easy fix. We ended our meal with the Lime Mouse Cake which was acidic, sweet, crunchy(black current ice cream forever) and a total home run along with their impressive cheese cart, which given the chance, I would have tried to wheel out to my car, never to be seen again. We were then brought the bill with an incredible assortment of homemade chocolate truffles, nugget bars, mini french macaroons and other goodies – delightful! The verdict: Food was above average, even great but we expected more. Are we glad we tried it? Ohh heck yes but we might be more selective about what we order next time. Props to the Captain of the dining room who was awesome and changed our service experience around. We also learned his cousin from Colombia who manages rock bands in Argentina has connections with our friends there, double awesome. One tip for this place, manage the ego/noise level of random patrons. Some presumably baseball player(from NY) was there practicing his loud and louder voice – 1. not the environment and 2. no one cares who you are/we don’t know! Unilocal must know-We were surprised to find out the dress code is casual. Like it!

My husband and I first experienced Menton as our engagement dinner. Since then we’ve been delighted and equally enchanted by the team here, whether it just be for cocktails in the small lounge or lunch or a full tasting menu. Menton is hands down, the best fine French in Boston. Even over L’Espalier in the City.

Where should I start. I was expecting blow in my mind experience but it didn’t happen. My husband and I was seated in a nice corner table and was introduced to their tasting menu. From our past experience, it was a big no no. Since the tasting menu had some dishes we wanted to try, we asked if we can do 1 tasting menu and order a few a la carte. The manager said no because they would like the dishes to come at the same time so one doesn’t have to sit there without food, which we understood even though we don’t really mind the wait. Anyway, we decided to order a few a la carte instead. Bread was served with many choices and they were really good. Few each had our first dish. Started off with tart of foie gras and monkfish. The four gras wasn’t very fresh but the monkfish was good. Then more dishes came and they weren’t memorable because the food were not that good. The most memorable dish was the duck, not because it was excellent but because their chocolate infused duck sauce tasted really gross. The manager came over and asked us how our dishes went. We were honest to him and he told us that the restaurant is very proud of their food. The way he responded sounded like if you don’t like your food, that is too bad.(We had a very bad impression on him) We thought that Menton was a French restaurant it tasted more fusion so we asked another manager and found out the previous chef was more into making French food and this new chef likes to try new combinations. For the price with the confused combination of ingredients, it will only be a one time thing.

Had an exquisite experience at Menton on 11⁄21. We booked the Chef’s Table for a private event, and Sue and Holly were very accommodating to our needs. The captain was always available to take care of our guests, and even helped call taxis for us at the end of our meal. Thank you! The food was beyond amazing with depth and creativity in each dish. The service was impeccable, and the view of the kitchen from the Chef’s Table made our meal at Menton something special.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and service. The place was surprisingly empty, which I thought was unusual, but maybe it was because it was a weekday. That being said, we were really well attended to! Our waiter was great and had a keen understanding of how to pace a meal. He also had a cab ready for us when we left. We did the prix fix menu — «From Elements» and although there was a good balance of tastes, it wasn’t particularly memorable. Perhaps my expectations were too high and I thought there would be more originality. The food was executed well mind you. My favorite dish was the Monkfish. The desserts were more of an afterthought but given that I’m usually full by that time, so I took it to go and really never ended up eating it(some chocolates and mini-macaroons). I do recommend this place though!

I really wish I could give half stars. My wife and I were excited to try out Barbara Lynch’s Menton during our stay in Boston. A couple nights prior we ate at Sportello and absolutely loved it. So naturally we were stoked on getting to experience an amazing fixed course meal. Customer service 5 stars Ambiance 5 stars Food 4 stars Overall the experience was great and we did enjoy our time. We ended up choosing«from elements» menu and added a la carte cheese cart. Food itself was good with a few exceptions. Both my wife and I noted that the scallop was overcooked and on the tough side and the wagyu was not like any wagyu that I have had before. Not as much marbling and didn’t have that«melt in your mouth» quality. All in all I would give Menton 4.5 stars.

OMG… what a fantastic and wallet diuresing meal. It was only marred by my parking ticket, so be careful, non-MA permanent residents. I came here to try out the legendary chef tasting menu, «Into Evolution» for our 1-year anniversary. However, before going into the food, I’d like to mention that the ambiance was amazing, calm, professional and intimate at the same time. The staff were incredibly attentive, but not overbearing and constantly bothering you. Each course was accompanied by a complete change in our dining wares, immediate refill of our beverages and a courteous smile. Did I mention that they brought out complementary champagne as well? All right, to food: In addition to the multi-course meal, there were also multiple complimentary mini courses that accompanied each main meal. I have forgotten what they were, but certainly took many pictures and had a giddy fluttering feeling whenever these items appeared on the table. Highlights from the main tasting menu was the fennel, chestnut, chicarron pork, the surf & turf in vegetables. The foie gras was a bit too strong for me, especially the walnut cake with fois gois and bleu cheese. The rabbit was a bit salty and I couldn’t pick out the meat flavors, but it was certainly delectable. The fois gois hot dog was a great surprise and I could tease out the savory liver goodness, although if you had told me it was a regular bulky hot-dog, I could have inhaled it and not noticed the difference. For the dessert, we had the parsnip cake and white chocolate concord grape and they were not as «in your face» as I though, but a great way to cleanse our palate after a long culinary adventure. Despite the $$$$, this was an experience that cannot be emulated unless you’re in the higher echelon of dining and I felt like a king. Food: 4 stars Service: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars Price:…n/a

Food: We got the simpler of the tasting menus. In our party of six, each of us had a dietary restriction. I was impressed that they created 6 tasting menus and seamless accommodated all of us Service: excellent Ambience: outside environs and inside décor are each stunning. I especially love the passage to the bathroom. Might I also add, the bathroom itself was gorgeous. If go back just for that :)

5 stars, hands down. I’d rate 10 if I could. What a GREAT experience. Arrived for a Monday evening reservation. We were a bit early but chose to forego a drink in the(lovely looking) bar because I knew I wanted to get wine pairings and actually wanted to remember the meal… Were led to a lovely table in the middle of the main dining room that overlooked Congress Street. The décor is super classy and dare I say it — sexy? — with its dark tones, beautiful chandeliers and high ceilings. We were greeted by our main server(they work team-style) who was incredibly warm, genuine, and funny. He saw my husband peeking into the kitchen and asked if we wanted a tour later(um, YES!). They reiterated my husband’s allergies(reiterated several times that night to be in the safe side) and also asked if we were adverse to any particular ingredients(I noticed this both here and while dining at No. 9 Park. Nice touch). We chose the elements menu with wine pairings. I knew this was going to be good when the evening began with two rounds of snacks — I loved the«candied apples.» The first course, the butter soup, was every bit as decadent as it sounds — so much so that I don’t even care how much that one dish increased my cholesterol. The next dish was a crab confit with mushrooms — delicious. Then came the scallop with the vegetable hash and a quail egg — and even me, veggie-hater, liked this dish. Next was the monkfish, which was well-prepared and very moist. Then came the pasta with the crispy sage — very fall. The foie gras tart was amazing — another awesome foie gras preparation(see my No. 9 Park review). Then came the Wagu beef, which I loved — cooked beautifully. I ate my white chocolate dessert before snapping a pic — that’s how good it was. We did get a tour of the kitchen and got to meet the Chef de Cusine, who was incredibly nice. Overall, a fantastic meal and experience.

Sat at the Gold Bar section. Loved having the option of ordering from the Gold Bar menu + a la carte menu. Highlights… the butter soup — it was just beyond. A bite-sized piece of lobster, perfectly-cooked and slightly crispy, dotted with caviar, and enveloped with a luscious butter soup-sauce hybrid. I could have eaten 5 portions. The jamon«sandwiches» were delicious as well — buttery/crispy bite-sized rounds of perfection, each topped with the cutest little poached quail egg and served with a side of buttery Bearnaise sauce, meant to be drizzled liberally over each bite. The little goblet of macaroons at the end were a perfect end to a lovely meal.

We stopped in at the newly opened Gold Bar and had an amazing time! The lighting and the set up is absolutely gorgeous, and our service was fantastic. The waiter was very knowledgeable about all of the offerings and added interesting anecdotes about the development of the dishes. We enjoyed the foie gras frankfurters, yellowfin tuna tartare, the truffled buttered brioche, and the petit fours. I enjoyed the added touch of the gourmet snack mix and their mini macarons when they brought the check over. This was my first time at one of Barbara Lynch’s restaurants — I’m looking forward to trying more(maybe Sportello next since it’s right next door!)

Thanks to Brian Mcguire for bringing me to this resto. $ 175 per person(8 courses meal). I was food-drunk by course 5. Friendly and knowledgable staff, playful and delicious combinations, pristine plating, perfect cocktails… I could keep going. Décor was elegant, food great and it was top notch — Canapes were all tasty, especially the seeded foie gras lollipop. The entrees of Crab, Halibut, Turbot, Duo of Foie Gras, Rabbit, Lamb were also very tasty. The accompanying Wines were very good. The service was professional, explaining each dish.

Menton pronounce as Mon-ton. Is that just the Boston ascent? Menton is located in South Boston in an area of all red bricks buildings like the rest of Boston. The exterior is very charming as the interior. It’s a very large dining room relatively speaking to other establishments in its class. The décor is very elegant, sophisticated, and classy. There are white table cloths, white curtains, and dark wood pillars. You’re probably wondering what the f*ck am I doing here? I don’t know. I kind of stumbled in smelling like a drunk Irish sailor except I’m not Irish or a sailor. Menton is a Barbara Lynch restaurant and Scott Jones is the CDC(i.e., Chef De Cuisine). He was really down to earth when he came out to introduce one of the dishes. Also, he was very generous with the truffle on the Quail dish. I was like«Could I get some Quail with all that truffle!!!» Major bonus points. The 2012 American Top Chef Kristen Kish was the former CDC and I was totally heart broken when I found out she was a lesbian. However, that won’t stop me from stalking… opps. I mean following her on Instagram. So you’re telling me there’s a chance?!? The staff were all very nice, professional, and dressed in «Business Professional» attire. They were all very knowledgeable regarding restaurants in other cities. I spoke to a few of them regarding Los Angeles restaurants. There was one woman who asked me if I was in the industry, which seems to be a common question from every notable restaurant I’ve dined at. I think it has a lot to do with my endomorphic body shape. It takes a lot of work to keep this body shape and being round is being in shape. Anyway, the food *in my Boston ascent*. Menton has an a la carte menu and two tasting menus, which are«From the Elements» and«Into Evolution». From the Element contained items from their a la carte menu and Into Evolution had one item from the a la carte menu. I went with Into Evolution with the additional supplements. Everything was really tasty but as always I’m only going to touch on my favorite items: 1) Foie Gras Lollipop — This was an amuse bouche and served with a «pork rind» dish. It’s pretty much a square piece of foie gras slapped on stick. It had a very earthy taste to it due to the seeds on it yet it was very creamy, rich and somewhat sweet. It’s a great dish to start off the tasting menu like how you have to warm up some women with foreplay. 2) Menage A Foie Gras — This dish consisted of 4 different interpretation of Foie Gras. There was a seared, frozen, slightly cooked, AND the FOIEGRASFRANKFURTER. In other words, a foie gras hot dog. I’m not going into details about the other typical 3 interpretations but only the frankfurter. I have to say it was one of the most memorable dishes I’ve eaten in my life and I’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world. The foie gras hot dog takes a classic American dish up to level 100. It’s served with green mustard and umeboshi-and-green-almond ketchup on a homemade bun. It was plump, juicy, tender, and piping hot. It had the bite of a boiled Chicago hot dog dragged through the garden. The tangy green mustard and slightly earthy ketchup was a great complement and a perfect condiments. The umami-ness of the hot dog was heavenly like hearing you won the lottery. The food was great but it was a lot different from the other notable restaurants I’ve dined at. It lacked direction and progression of the dishes. The«traditional» tasting menus ease their way into the savory dishes while Menton hits your palate with all savory courses from beginning to end. They take you up the mountain and keep you there the whole time versus EMP or Per Se progressing to those dishes. Boston’s beloved O Ya was the same thing. Overall, Menton was definitely a great experience and totally a different take on the traditional progression of tasting menus. I thought it was going to disappointing and didn’t expect much from a Boston fine dining restaurant. I was wrong like fans who wouldn’t think Ben Affleck would be a good Batman. However, I’m still iffy about Affleck as Batman until I see Batman v Superman.

Elegant service and amazing food. I’ve always wanted to try Menton, ever since I saw that Kristen Kish, the reigning champion of Top Chef was a chef there. I was not at all disappointed. Firstly, the service was extremely professional — I felt incredibly well taken care of — my family and I were rushing off to the airport following the dinner and every effort was made to accommodate our 8 large suitcases(stored in the coatroom), calls for a cab and rush our food out to us so we could leave on time. Brilliant. I felt like royalty. And the food, oh god the food was perfection on a plate. The foie gras was exquisite, buttery and melt-on-your-tongue delicious, the quail was pure perfection and all the amuse bouche were amazing. I had to skip dessert to catch my flight but I was sent off with little french macarons which were a nice touch toe end off the meal. Given the quality, beauty and pure technicality of the food, paired with perfect service and classy atmosphere, you will have absolutely no hesitation paying the bill. In fact, for everything you’re getting from the experience, I think most guests would agree, it’s a steal.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Surprisingly it wasn’t that hard make a reservation. There is a $ 75 cancellation fee if you cancel within 72 hours. Valet is $ 18 and there’s plenty of parking on Seaport Blvd if you can’t find anything on Congress St. I was instantly greeted at the door with a warm welcome. There’s a nice home-y lounge area where you can order drinks while waiting for your party to arrive. The restaurant itself has a really intimate ambiance, perfect for dates and special occasions. After being seated, we were greeted by a manager who then occasionally checked on us throughout the 3 hour dinner. In terms of menu, there are mainly 2 options to choose from: From Elements(6 or 8) or Into Evolution(9 course). If you choose the 6 course, you will not be served Foie Gras and Wagyu. Time review the food… I also ranked them! From Elements(8 Course) #2) Menton Butter Soup(fried mussel, scallop, and honey foam) Menton really knows how to kick off an evening. I’ve never had anything like this before. Drinking butter never tasted so delicious #7) Hearts of palm Yellowfin Tuna sunchoke, black truffle Wish the tuna was a bit more flavored. Wasn’t blown away by this dish #5) Lobster and Chamomile apple, almond, ginger Lobster was cooked to perfection. I wasn’t a fan of sipping the Lobster and Chamomile tea, but you can also pour it on the lobster as a broth. Wish the ginger was a little more scattered. I ate it all at once and got a real kick out of it. #8) Buttermilk Arctic Char leek, hazelnut This was the most disappointing dish. I felt that Arctic char was a bold move to begin with since it has a very distinct taste. Going to be harsh on this one… definitely didn’t enjoy this one at all #4) Ham and quail, escargot, babette Ricotta Gnudi «The gnudi was really good… however, I could easily get something comparable at a small Italian restaurant.» –Kristen #1) Tart of Foie Gras pumpkin, pecan, laphroaig This was by far my favorite! There’s only really one way to describe this: indescribable. The combination of foie gras, pumpkin tart, and mushrooms was just perfect. #3) Eggplant, dukkah, walnut Wagyu Beef I’ve had Wagyu beef before, but never cooked to this perfection. The beef literally just melts in your mouth. «but i wasn’t a fan of the eggplant thing» –Kristen #6) Passion fruit, basil Pavlova Definitely one of the most creative desserts I’ve ever had. If I could describe this, it would be a meringue with passion fruit filling on top a crisp nest, surrounded by cotton candy.(See picture to get a better understanding) Chocolate sesame, yuzu «Beautiful presentation. everything blended well with each other — the smoothness of the chocolate paired with the crunchy texture of the crisp — all pleasantly balanced with the citrus twist of the yuzu» –Kristen Additional Items: Foie Gras lollipop– AMAZING Pretzel Branch Crisp Lychee Sorbet and Orange Pineapple Blossom– I actually liked this way more than the passion fruit basil pavlova Overall I had a really good experience at Menton. I did expect every dish to blow my mind, but it didn’t. Therefore I had to give this visit 4 stars. Until next time!

The second time around had none of the service errors of the first. Yet weight gain hit once again(although admittedly with the assist of a buffet lunch earlier the same day). Parking in the area is by permit only which led to parking in a lot as an alternative to the valet option that Menton offers. Coats were taken and we were led to our table covered in a white cloth carefully ironed flat by a solid looking antique iron. We opted for the Prix Fixe 4 course option for $ 95, with each selecting something different in order to taste the greatest variety between the two of us. Me: . Assiette of Foie Gras Rye Apple Veal Pastrami . Culurzones di Vitello Ricotta Pear Black Truffle . Rohan Duck Porcini Beetroot Parsnip . Almond Brown Butter Cake Concord Grape Figs Lemon My DC: . Yellowfin Tuna Crudo* Hearts of Palm Sunchoke Truffle and Soy . Winter Bouillabaisse Hake and Scallop Celery Root Dulse . Berkshire Pork and Quail Chestnut Apple Farro . Gianduja Mousse Hazelnut Pear Cassis With one added order — . Roman Gnocchi Pumpkin Kale Poached Farm Egg We had a terrific meal, bookended with a number of tiny canapes as an introduction and a few miniature sweets preceding the bill, and a number of bread selections peppered in the middle. The cute little baguette still had that terrific crisp crust, however, it was a bit overly salty on this visit. Ironically, the weakest course was the added on gnocchi, as the flavors were on the bland side, while my duck plate and foie gras starter were my personal favorites. With Kristen Kish’s reign in the Menton kitchen over, this meal was orchestrated by Colin Lynch as the Executive Chef and Donna the pastry chef. Lovely meal — thanks!

A beautiful and perfectly executed dinner from start to finish. A fan of No. 9 Park, naturally, I had to visit this one during my last Boston trip. You can now officially say I am a Barbara Lynch fan. We arrived a little earlier for cocktails at DRINK(right next door). Upon arrival, they told us they had no openings so we walked back to Menton and checked in. Upon checking in, I mentioned this to the hostess who said all Menton diners have access to DRINK because of their existing reservations and that we could go back to try it if we pleased. By then, coats had been checked in and I didn’t feel like walking back and we didn’t, but it’s good to know. I didn’t realize then they were all owned by the same restaurant group. Instead, we hung out in their plush atrium area and ordered some drinks off their list. I loved the restaurant’s snazzy décor: rustic world décor meets chic. We were seated shortly thereafter. We did a four course, $ 95 pre fixe menu. In addition to the four courses(and included in the price) were the desserts. I think there was a separate charge for the cheese cart option which I did, but can’t remember. When you add the two complimentary amuse bouche courses and the supplementary sweets the restaurant sends out with your dessert(in addition to what you ordered) you end up with about 9 – 10 courses. I know towards the end, I was really struggling to finish. I was so full! Everything was delicious. I remember enjoying the foie gras amuse, pork belly, and the gnocchi the best and the rhubarb the least. These are the courses we had: Mussels and foie gras(as amuse bouche) Wild striped bass Foie gras torchon White Asparagus with summer truffles East coast halibut and speck Berkshire pork belly Gnocchi Parisienne Chocolate pavé Rhubarb Vacherin Cheese cart All of my cheese choices rocked. More importantly, they also passed my «restaurant cheese test.» Not only did they write down the cheese names for me when I asked, but they printed them on beautiful restaurant stationery and placed it inside a sealed envelope. This is a big deal for me; I love learning about new types of cheese and often buy them once back at home. Our waiter also attached the label of the wine we had to one of their postcards. Class act! I really loved these details. You can probably guess by now that service was also wonderful throughout the night. If Boston had a Michelin guide system, Menton would be on it!
