In my humble opinion this is a place you don’t want to miss if you visit the Boston area! A true Irish Pub in a sea of imitations! Great drink prices, friendly staff and a cast of local characters that would make you throw rocks at the cheers crowd!!!

Lowies is the best bar in Dorchester. Safe, fun locally run. Weekdays are priceless quiet lulls. Weekend are fast and furious. Everyone has a good time and the drinks are… ahem… inexpensive.

It’s a neighborhood pub, most of the people there are regulars. I stopped in for a drink while my wife ran a few errands. This is an old school Boston Irish barroom. The language is colorful — from both clientele and staff alike — but that doesn’t make it a «classless» place as some here have asserted. The drinks are good and priced right. Service is good. Recommended, but don’t expect the Ritz.

Best bar in Dorchester. Homey feel and always sports on the TVs. GREAT band a couple Saturdays a month that always brings a good crowd and a lot of fun. Prices are the cheapest in town. Great place for a chill night.

This is original Boston or Dorchester before all of the renovations and lost bars. The best part is that they modernized it just enough but still kept the atmosphere what you want at a bar. OK beer selection, not the 100 draught beers we would like, but enough solid choices and easy access to make up for it.
