I love this place and highly recommend it. The food is consistantly incredible. There are so many fantastic dishes, but my favorite is the Chicken Brocciolitine. It’s to die for! The bread is hot and fresh and the dipping sauce is sublime. The waitstaff are attentive without being bothersome and are always pleasant. My favorite tables are the ones in the window nooks; perfect for a romantic date. I hope you check it out!

Dined here last Friday with friends and had a good meal. Started with the caesar salad which was incredible. Large enough salad to share between a few people. For my entrée ordered veal saltimbocca, very good, included spinach and mushrooms with a side of pasta. Server never offered us the dessert menu and or coffee.

Amazing food and dipping sauce for bread. Wine is great, reasonably priced for the area.

I’ve lived in the North End for over 35 years and counting and Loconte’s is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I love the décor, the owners, the servers and best of all the food! The wine selection is great too! My favorites appetizers are the Artichoke Orata battered, sautéed and“lemoned“perfectly. The Shrimp Calamari, you better order extra bread for this one. The sauce is incredible and addicting. My favorite entrees are Chicken Maranga(divine) and the best Chicken Broccoli Ziti in the North End. My father,(Mr doesn’t like anything) adores the Chicken Parmesan and eats the whole entrée and it is huge! haha, he can’t stop eating because it’s SO good. Just like Nonna was in the kitchen. I have not had a bad meal here in all the years I have visited this place. We’ve also had many family parties here and my nieces and nephews are all grown up now and carrying on my Locontes tradition by frequenting this place often. Italian comfort food at it’s best and Locontes does it spot on.

First time ever eating in the City: Recommended by a Local Bostonian. Ate here Sunday, mid-afternoon, only one other large table at the time. It’s in the heart of the Italian District. Waiter seemed attentive throughout the meal. Big food, however wasn’t asked a preference for the pasta side upon ordering, and we both were given ziti(versus linguini). No biggy, as I like ziti, but certainly lacked attention to detail on the Waiter’s part… We ordered calamari appetizer, chicken parmigiana, and the chicken and eggplant parmesan. The calamari appetizer(breaded & fried), served with roasted red peppers and green onions, was really good!(highly recommend) The other dishes were generous portions, and what I would consider to be authentic Italian cuisine. You are given bread at the beginning of the meal, along with an olive oil, herb, spice, dried parmesan spread. I notice most complaints are about the service here, but like I said we went mid-afternoon and the place was almost empty. I’ve heard that if you make reservations online, you must make them 24-hours in advance of your reserved time to actually get on their reservation list… Based on the experience I would recommend this place.

Their food is delicious. We had the arancini appetizer and two pasta dishes for dinner. HUGE portions and lots of flavor in their sauces. We were so full when we left. The service is a little slow but our waiter was very nice. He also brought us each a complimentary glass of wine for no reason. Great spot for a date night and not too expensive. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious pasta!

Best meal I’ve ever had in the North End!!! We started with the Mussels in a red sauce. That was a first for me. So good! Then a capresse salad to die for. I had a chicken and eggplant dish that was fantastic and my friend had her favorite, a spinach lasagna. Both were huge portions we couldn’t finish, but we had to have a Tiramisu we could split. Outstanding! They also had a great wine list so we shared a bottle that I hadn’t tried and our server assured us we would love it, which of course we did. Speaking of service he was great. Very helpful and attentive. We like to eat early and it was a good decision because not too long after we were served the place filled up. I will definitely go back and often and highly recommend Lo Conte’s.

As we were seated at the table, the waiter seemed to be very polite. However, this is the best I can say about him. He came back took our drink and food order, then when he served us our food, he never came back to check on our food and refill our drinks. Food was okay. I ordered the ravioli and was not a big fan. We left a tip to which we thought was appropriate due to bad service, however, the server felt the need to tack an extra 10% onto our order without telling us! Nowhere on the menu was there a gratuity policy. Very disappointed that server thought his tip was justified. Was very pricey and had terrible service.

Such a romantic restaurant with great lighting. Really creates an atmosphere. The food is lovely, the portions are huge, everything is so fresh. Love the pasta, yum! Great service, I came here with my fiancé on a Groupon and will definitely be back!

This place was great. Ordered the calamari friti and it was light and crispy, topped with this delicious roasted red pepper and onion parsley and garlic salad. Next up was a caprese salad with prosciutto– could have had more basil… They gave us two-2-duas-dos-leaves that’s all– more basil and a better balsamic glaze reduction would have made it perfect. We had the garlic bread with parmagianno and that was also very tasty. What won me over was the PERFECTLY cooked veal Saltimbocca. I mean this was perfect. You didn’t need a knife to cut it, it was perfectly tender. The staff was very accommodating to my pickiness though our meals, of a party of 6, all came out at different times. Between all of us we also ordered a Veal Marsala, Veal Parmasean, Lasagna and a Chicken Parmasean. Everyone loved their meals, not a clean plate in the house besides my leftovers(which I clearly look forward to savoring tomorrow all over again)…

You must go to this restaurant and you must have whatever soup they are serving. In addition, my wife and I cannot recommend enough the penne-chicken-broccoli dish; it is truly the best taste ever. This is a must-do restaurant in Boston.

Food met my expectations, nothing fabulous, but good. The hostess was stressed and standoff ish. The waiter didn’t create a dining experience… Just was there to give us some food. We will not be back.

Ladies and gentleman, please meet my new favorite Italian Restaurant! Perhaps my favorite any restaurant! My wife and I were very hungry Sunday evening and wanted to eat in the North End. When walked by this place, and my wife suggested we check out the menu. Good idea! It was rather busy, but we got seated right away. Not five minutes later, I think every table was full. First the service was just nothing short of superior. Our waiter was Isaace. Please keep him. He’s what ever waiter should aspire to be. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and just a plain ‘old nice guy. Then the food came and I could all but hear my tastabuds cheering. I got the fusilli and my goodness, I didn’t know a pasta dish could be this good. It was served nice and hot, and the portion was beyond generous. For a beverage, I had a cranberry and seltzer. Not only was it the best tasting one I’ve ever had, but it was refreshingly cold as well. The kind you get only when the juice is kept cold in the refrigerator, not simply«chilled» by adding ice to the glass. My wife had a side of asparagus, and the eggplant with pasta for her main dish. Yum is the only word to describe it. For a drink, she had a Cosmo, and this too was delish! The bread was just stunning. It was fresh, and piping hot and tasted just baked. It came with a litle bowl of phenominal grated cheese and herbs and that increased our dining pleasure a thousand fold. I can’t wait to come back here with our friends.

Tight restaurant in a great North End kind of way. Comfort Italian food like out of grandma’s kitchen. Service was not fantastic. I’m glad I checked it out, but with this many other great places in the neighborhood, it did not make my short list to come back to soon.

My personal favorite in the North End. Usually can get a reservation which is great in the North End. Food is constantly great with trying over 10 dishes and more than that with friends. I like spicy and the Chicken Arribatta(not how its really spelled) is a 10. I think places should treat regulars well and they lack that. I have lived next to the place for 3+ years. I have gotten take out and plenty of meals there, I just wish i didn’t get the bus boy as my server the last time i went.(who messed up my order) Would highly recommend!

I would give it 5 stars if the service would step it up a notch. I have been here numerous times with my boyfriend, and the service always disappoints. Sometimes I feel they are rushing us, and the past two times have messed up our orders. However, the food is delicious. Good size portions, with enough for leftovers. Great flavors, never blend. I have tried a few dishes on the menu such as the Saltimbocca, Parmesan, Cacciatore and a few others. The oil/spice mixture they give you at the beginning is also very tasty!

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to write a review on Loconte’s! This is my go to spot in the North End! I lived in the North End for 2 years, so I have tried more than a handful of restaurants down there, and this one is hands-down my favorite. To start off the service is exceptional, everyone there is so nice and attentive. Go there more than once and guarantee the staff will remember you and treat you like family! Now. the FOOD, its all AMAZING! the portions are huge and mouth watering! there is literally not a bad item on the menu. to list some of my favorites though are: –House Salad… I know it seems silly to mention this but the dressing is amazing i could lick the bowl — Calamari — Bruschetta –Chicken Maranga(ask for it a littly spicy!) — Tortelline con Pesto — Gnocchi Spezzatino –Saltinbocca This place has never disappointed me, definitely try it!
