I like him a lot. I was lucky to have picked MGH walk in and to have great doctors there that put me with the top/head docs for what I needed. Dr. Kaufman is an oncologist, clinical professor at harvard medical and the director of his dept at MGH, I love him. No, seriously. While it is very nerve wracking to go and talk about cancer and your next steps, he usually cracks a few jokes which lighten everything up. I have been seeing him for 6 months, and will probably be seeing him until he retires for all my oncology needs. He picked a «treatment’ plan that works for the type of cancer I went to him for and explained why he picked it and told us stories about people he has been following and tracking since the 70s and 80s. My only meh is sometimes its difficult to understand what he is trying to say. I think when dealing with cancer, you want to hear first how you are as a patient and THEN the stories to go along with it. He just does it in reverse which was fine(except for today, he walked in and said everything was fine and then said Hello!), i loved hearing his stories and everything that he has researched and studied over his career as a doctor. I just feel really lucky to have been referred to him. Seriously, just google his name and thats all you need to see. I hope I get to have him for many years to come.
