I Do Wedding Dresses and Photography

I highly recommend «I Do Wedding Dresses» as a hidden gem among bridal shops, recently open in the convenient location across from Tufts Medical Center. I met with Ivy, who spent almost 2 hours patiently helping me try on wedding dresses. She allowed me time to explain the style of dress I was looking for and show her some magazine clippings of what I had in mind. As I was trying on the dresses, we discussed what I liked or did not like about each dress, and she tailored the look (ie. pulled away certain layers, added a bow, made the dress fit more narrow) to work with my ideas. I love how each dress can be custom altered, or even rented for the bride that doesn’t want to spend a fortune! Ivy also took several pictures of the dresses I tried on, so I can share with my bridal party for their input!

I had a wonderful experience trying on dresses at I Do Wedding Dresses and Photography. Ivy was so sweet and helpful. This was my first experience trying on dresses, and my wedding is 2 years away, so it was pretty clear that I wasn’t going to end up purchasing one of the dresses that day. Ivy put no pressure on me, and her goal was clearly to help me get a sense of what I like or don’t like and what her shop can offer. I really liked a few of the dresses, and Ivy emailed me after my appointment with all their details so that I have them on file. Since they only just opened in September, they offered me free alterations and a veil with the purchase of a dress, which is a HUGE savings. If I wasn’t so far from my actual wedding, this would have been a great deal and I might have actually purchased a dress. They also do beautiful silk flower bouquets. Even if I don’t end up purchasing (or renting!) a dress from I Do Wedding, I might order my bouquet from them! This was the perfect first dress-​shopping experience for a new bride!
