I’ve done a semi-annual shoot with DOD photography for 3 years. His work is beautiful. He has a great eye for which shots work and which are junk. He’s always been great with his response time and coming to us, which is so helpful with young children. His prices are fair. We are customers for life.

I wish I could give zero stars. Dan solicited us in the Spring of 2011 and asked to photograph our wedding(in October, 2011) for free, as he was trying to get his fledgling business up and running. We agreed to allow Dan to be one of our wedding photographers(we paid a second photographer) and I gave him tons of advice on how to start up a wedding photography business. In exchange for using our images in his advertising, he promised in writing to give us all of his files. After FIVE months of begging via email, facebook, and phone, Dan finally sent us ~ 20 images(some of which were copies of each other). These ~ 20 images did not come close to being the actual amounts of photographs Dan took of our wedding. In addition, the images were heavily photoshopped and were not very good artistically — we strongly preferred the work of our hired, professional photographer. Dan was highly unprofessional during this business venture, refusing to engage in conversation with us about how to arrive at a mutually-satisfying conclusion. He withheld our wedding photos and even went so far as to post hateful comments on our facebook pages for the sole purpose of being sensational about same-sex marriage. Dan has one interest in mind and one interest only: himself. If you want a wedding photographer who could care less about your wedding day and is interested only in his own self-gain, then Dan is surely the man for you. If you want to have a photographer at your wedding who does not release your photographs to you and who makes snide comments about your union, then Dan’s your man. Hire away… with good forewarning.
