Seriously they need to offer a no star choice. I came up from the Cape with the intention of trying some different Boston Pizza places. This place wasn’t my choice but my husband wanted to give it a try. Save your money. Rude nasty people. Hung up on me twice when I called to ask what building they were in. When we finally found it their pizza was one of worst I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and head straight to the North End. Here we found Ernesto’s(my choice) amazing pizza huge slices and friendly helpful people.

The pizza looked like it had been sitting out for hours, so I chose to go somewhere else.

Eggplant Calzone $ 7.75 Breaded Italian eggplant, caramelized onion, garlic and mozzarella I was told that it would take 15 minutes. I had the time, so I went ahead with the order. The quote was pretty accurate. A thin layer of dough encasing gooey cheese rendolent with garlic and twin layers of eggplant. A side container of a thin chunky tomato sauce for dipping or pouring. Where the dough was twisted together may had been a tad on the undercooked side, but all it all, it was a decent dinner for an acceptable price. I ate it all and I was pretty full. It was actually quite flavorful. This Crazy Dough’s Pizza is located in the food court of the City Place Transportation Building. Credit cards and LevelUp accepted. *** 5⁄2015 visit *** On this visit, I noted that their menu pricing is the same as on my last visit, so the photos I posted then are confirmed as still accurate. This time, I decided to give one of their sandwiches a try. The Reuben(smoked pastrami, Russian dressing, sauerkraut & mozzarella) comes with a fountain soda for $ 6. Yes, that’s inclusive of tax. I was warned that the sandwich would take 15 minutes. It actually took 9 minutes from when I got my cup of Crush soda, till I heard them call and I got back to my table with styrofoam container in hand. Presumably, most of the time was due to my sandwich’s trip in the oven. It looked good. But then I hefted it up in my hands and I found that the bottom of the roll was wet, and this not from the Russian dressing. Yuck. Otherwise, I found the sandwich rather tasty and good sized for the price. The guy behind the counter did the job, but he showed no desire to interact with his customers, and didn’t give me a receipt till I asked him for one. Unfortunately, this is not one of those places which post a sign which promises a treat if they fail to give you your receipt.

First off have to say I do love this place! I had a friends visiting and before they had delivery going for the day {I could had waited} I needed to order 2 pizza’s, the owner yes delivered it right to my house. Great, original topping selections like balsamic glaze drizzled and the cooking: fire grilled, brick oven or regular style pizza’s with 3 different sizes to boot. I always get the biggest one and never lasts very long. The pizza is delivered very hot and polite & prompt delivery people! I used to like Bostone Pizza the best but these guys beat them by a mile! CHICKENWINGS: they come baked not fried but need to be baked a lot longer and more heat on the buffalo style. My only complaint. Only 2 – 3SUBS but the Pastrami is the BEST I have ever had! So Crazy Dough how about trying Greek style pizza?! Thanks guys you never disappoint! T.M.C

This is located at a food court inside the Transportation Building. As such it is unknown to most people because it is not visible to passerby on the street. Too bad because you can get some really excellent pizza here. Choice of sizes from personal(9″), S(12″), L(18″). I would avoid the Personal if possible because these are built for speed; they use a pre-made flatbread. These get the fire-grilled treatment, which gives it a nice smokey flavor with some requisite char. S and L go into the brick oven. These are ultra-thin crust pizzas. Once your pizza is put together it’ll cook pretty quickly because of the thin crust and hot ovens. They also have Sicilian available. Excellent and fresh ingredients are used which come through in tasting. Crust has a nice crispness underneath. Sauce perked up with a bit of oregano. Great quality milky mozzarella. Wide variety of toppings available. My top choices for the unusual: Potato bacon cheddar is really delicious. The Reuben pizza(yes, with pastrami) is SO good. Both are white pies. Also very good are the Tomato basil, a proper Margherita, and the Nutty Tuscan. These 3 shine because of the fresh ingredients. A good Supreme, Chicken Parm, and Cheeseburger Bacon also. Because it is in a food court they are minimally staffed here. So don’t go expecting sit-down restaurant service. Also they close earlier than pizza lovers would prefer. In my opinion, the best pizza in the Downtown/South End area. This place fills the gap left by Upper Crust since the workers at UC rebelled for getting screwed over by the owners.

Big slice of pizza, decent taste, for reasonable-ish price. This place deserves an average review for not going above and beyond, but by maintaining par.

I was so upset about my experience with this place that I chose to email the contacts on the site: Hello, I am seeking you out as a concerned and unhappy customer. I originally went on to write my review for your location, and it came to my not-so-surprise that some one else on the site had the same experience as I did last night. To make a long story short, we ordered a chicken parm calzone from a young woman at around 7:30PM. She told us, «sure» and started to put the calzone together. After a couple of minutes a young man appeared from the back and told her that he «shut the ovens off» and she replied with«it will be fine». After about 20 minutes we went up and paid for the clazone(and left a very generous tip). We ordered two waters along with the meal and she went out back without giving them to us. We continued to stand there until the young man came out and asked us, quite rudely what we wanted. We explained that we paid for the waters and they were not given to us. After we got the waters and returned to our table we realized we were not given napkins as well. When I went back up to ask the young woman she looked at me annoyed and said, «No more, we are all done.» …and I asked again, «So, you can’t give us napkins?». She replied, «No, we are finished!” — again annoyed and rude. I walked over to the restaurant next door and got some after she refused them to me! After all of this the calzone was terrible(of course) not cooked all the way through and had no marinara sauce I am writing this email as a server in the food industry. I was ALWAYS trained to be kind to customers in order to keep them coming back. I was also trained never to be rude to someone who just supported their business and tipped them very well. I understand it was close to closing time, but if she had explained to us that they were closing we would have been just as satisfied with a piece of pizza. Instead both servers were incredibly rude and as the saying goes, things come back to bite you in the end. Now with the help of , consumers are able to communicate stories of satisfaction and more importantly — dissatisfaction. With a new job in the area, I can tell you I will not be returning to your establishment. I also can tell you that people DOUSE and once they read the awful reviews on the site… they wont be going back either.

Tasty, filling lunch for just over 3 bucks. Cool. I always go for the Nutty Tuscan or the Bacon Ranch slice. Pizza’s never heated up long enough, but it still tastes good. That being said, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but when I am at school and need something quick this is my go-to.

It’s really hard to do a freshly baked pizza wrong, even with mediocre ingredients, but Crazy Dough somehow managed to do it. Crust was like cardboard, there was no flavor in the meat personal pizza. Seriously, how can you make a MEAT pizza bland? The«garlic bread» was just a pizza crust with some cheese sprinkled on and pizza sauce on the side. The garlic was a lie! Avoid at all cost.

So it was 5 pm on a Friday and I thought to myself, «Self! Why not head on over to Crazy Dough’s and redeem the groupon you’ve been holding onto!» I convinced my food buddy to join and proceeded to the City place location with high expectations. Well, I’d like to say that their pizza lived up to the hype. But instead, I can’t comment on the quality of the pizza as they had closed the ovens!!! After perusing their menu, my friend and I were informed(rather rudely) that they would not be able to make us personal pan pizzas, any of their salads/sandwiches, or appetizers. If we had arrived at say… 7:30PM I’d maybe cut them a little slack… but it was only 5PM… repeat 5PM. How can a business that claims to stay open until 8PM close their oven and/or refuse to prepare even a salad for their paying customers at 5PM in the evening? I would have been happy with even an excuse… tell me your oven has caught fire or that your supplier neglected to send the morning food delivery. ANYTHING is better than the attitude the cashier gave us when turning us away with not even an apology. If I didn’t have a groupon to use I would not even consider coming back to this Crazy Dough’s Pizza location. There are a number of excellent pizza options in the downtown area(Sal’s, Boston Pizza Company, etc.) where you can find tasty pizza and friendly service.

This Crazy Dough’s is basically a replacement for Sbarro’s, but what’s nice is you can have a personal pizza freshly baked instead of settling on an hours-old slice of cheese. I tried both the Margarita and Meat Lover’s personal pizzas and both were excellent. They subbed bacon for ground beef in the Meat Lover’s, and in my opinion it was a big win. The meats were all tasty and played well together without overwhelming the pizza. The Margarita was simple and satisfying with good sauce and fresh basil. I had a Groupon($ 10 for $ 20) so it was basically free for me, but a personal pizza and a drink is under $ 10 and well worth the price.

This restauarant in City Place(inside the Transportation Building) replaced a Sbarro’s. Like Sbarro’s they offer ready-made slices. They have the traditional round pizza slices, which taste merely ok. They also have the square Sicilian style pizza which have a much better crust(lighter and crispier). One of the signs of a superior pizza is when you actually eat the entire crust. On some of these Sicilian slices, they tried to get too fancy with a lot of high-calorie goop squirted on the top. I go for the simpler Sicilian slices. If I were rating Crazy Dough only on the slices I get, I would give it 4 stars. But their other slices bring them down. Their price is reasonable and they have a few specials. So if you love pizza and opt for one of the simpler Silician slices they have I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Ordered delivery a few weeks back, 2 pizzas. — delivery took 2 hours, 15 minutes. Website said 45 minutes — We called a different location(because no delivery after this location closed) who said that website orders were sometimes getting lost — Pizza was ice cold(obviously) — Pizza itself(after reheating in the oven) was so so. Definitely not as good as upper crust. — Unfortunately, we believe something was wrong with the food and both me and my wife got food poisoning. 2 weeks later, she finally recovered. Never again.

Well, I gave Crazy Dough’s another chance. A few more chances, actually. Each time I went, the staff took a very long time to even acknowledge me.(One time, they hadn’t acknowledged me after 2 full minutes, so I went elsewhere in the food court.) A simple«I’ll be right with you» would have done the trick. And this was during a relatively slow time, only two others were waiting for food. I was excited during my latest visit to see a customer in front of me have their pizza packaged in a cardboard«to go» box. However, when I got my slice(to go), I received only two paper plates — not even the brown bag that they had used previously — and which I saw sitting on the counter. Sure, I could have asked for a bag(or box), but I don’t think I should have to. This is standard practice at most pizza places, but I guess you have to be a VIP to get a box at Crazy Dough’s! By the time I got back to my office, the oils had soaked through the bottom plate, and it was difficult to open my office building’s door(which was locked) and make sure the flimsly plates didn’t bend, spilling my pizza in the process. Also, their chip selection leaves a lot to be desired. Sad to be disappointed and have to reduce my rating again, but I think I gave them a fair shake.

I tried this place twice for re-heated slices. Both times the slices were below average. I was really disappointed. How in the world did they ever win #1 Pizza? I will not return. There are too many really good pizza places around.

I was so excited when I saw something new move into City Place, but upon trying Crazy Dough’s a couple of times, I have to say, I am less than impressed. The first time, I dropped by and decided to order a personal pizza(BBQ). What a mistake. When I asked while ordering, they said it would take 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, I received my pizza and the people I was with had already finished their pre-made slices. Not exactly what I’m looking for when I go to a food court(especially since you might be there with people who go to different places for food). Beyond the order delay, when I finally got my personal BBQ Chicken Pizza, it was burnt and frankly, very skimpy. Very little cheese, burnt sauce and charred crust. Depressing. Tonight I went at about 8pm and, while I appreciate them being open relatively late, the selection was so limited that I had to compromise on the type of pizza I wanted and it wasn’t even very good. Additionally, the staff wasn’t especially friendly or apologetic that the selection was so limited. In the future, I’m just forgoing the entire experience and going to a pizza place I can trust to churn out something delicious every visit: California Pizza Kitchen is within the same complex. Their product is delicious and they have great customer service.

I gave it a 3 because the people are sooo nice. I just hope that they eventually get it right. The slices are good but they are never hot, luckily I work in the building so I just get it and but in the office toaster oven. The toppings were fresh and very tasty, I also had a great salad there, but I think because it was the second day the portion size was incorrect and I fear that the sald will be much smaler next time We’ll see. Service can be slow with the servers falling over each other. But again are extremely nice. I trust the bugs will be worked out soon.

This is Crazy Dough’s new location in the food court in the Transportation Building. I have been a few times and at this point, it only deserves a two star rating. I may adjust it later since I live very close by and I am sure that I will eventually give it another try or two. The problems I have with this place can be easily fixed. In the few trip i have been there, they almost never have the menu items I originally order. On one visit, they didn’t have what the person I was also getting food for. This wouldn’t really have been that bad if this cycle wasn’t repeated four times in one visit. This led to an annoying combination of ordering and phone calls/texts. Finally, after being forced to change her order for the fourth time, my friend was able to find success in getting something they would find edible, and that was just on that on occasion. The pizzas are also pre-made since they are done by the slice and many of them have thick crusts. The problem is that they never heat them up enough, so you are lucky to get a kinda warm slice. With the salads, they are usually not made correctly(based on what the menu says), so the two times that we actually got a salad that was made right, we felt like we won the lottery. What makes this even more surprising is that two of the times I went, the person making the salad was reading from sheets telling them how to make them. They also dress the salads even if they are to go, even the times that we requested it be put on the side, so unless you are eating them right away, expect a soggy mess. Things can be improved if there were more attention to detail, like bagging hot and cold items separately. Getting a warm salad just kinda sucks. Come on Crazy Dough’s, you are close and convenient to me, so I am rooting for you.
