One of my favorite coffee shops to work in in the South End. It’s also open pretty late, which makes it a good spot for people who are looking for dessert, an after dinner coffee/tea, or students studying into the night. I think that Caffe Nero has the best cold brew, and isn’t that expensive either. Their almond milk lattes and cappuccinos are also good; they have tea for people who aren’t into coffee but those are from tea bags, so are less special. It’s a good spot to study or chill; they also have outdoor seating on nice days.

This is my favorite Caffe Nero location because it is cozy and nicely decorated with a chill vibe to it. My two favorite drinks here, hands down: chai latte, mango/strawberry-banana smoothie. I had their strawberry-banana smoothie today and like always, there was the right amount of little ice bits in it to balance out the smoothie’s consistency. The flavors were so prominent– I was definitely able to taste both the strawberry and the banana. It was harmonious and so, so good. The workers are quite nice and the service is prompt. Makes for a good experience!

Charming atmosphere with a couple of booths, tables and fireplace. If you are headed /waiting for an event at the Cyclorama, it is a cosy place to hang out while waiting. You can easily get some work done, respond to few emails while good tasty coffee along with nice music.

Super cool space! As you enter, there are a few booths to the left and then there are communal tables to your right. Loved the handwritten menu in chalk, but it was a tad busy. With a few illustrations that left no negative space for the eyes to rest easy upon, I had to take some time to observe/read the menu haha All I really wanted was to satisfy a small sweet tooth after dinner. I didn’t have too much of an appetite, so my friend and I split a berry«cheesecake» while she had the Summer Delight tea. The cake slice was a decent portion but not your standard cheesecake. It was more a yellow cake with a bavarian cream in between each layer. Not bad and was light enough to satisfy without filling me up much. The Summer Delight smelled amazing and you can ask for a hot water refill if you choose. Free of charge, but pending on how long you’ve steeped the tea, the flavor may not be as strong. Either way, it was a chill spot to hang at and seems like a neat place to study in or do some work.

Came here tonight to meet up with someone for a well needed discussion. We arrived around 7 and were able to find a seat no problem. The atmosphere is very nice but this place is getting three stars because of the service. The cashier split the person I was with’s coffee everywhere and then got him a clean saucer and continued to spill coffee all over that saucer as well so his coffee was a huge drippy mess the entire time. I ordered a rooibos tea which I thought was very good I asked the cashier how long I should steep it for and she said 3 minutes. When I took the bag out after three minutes I realized it said on the label steep for 6 – 8 minutes. The cashier should know their product better than that. All and all next time I go I think it might just be for a to go cup so I don’t need to interact with the servers again.

Typical«hipster-ish» place you’ll find in the South End of Boston — heavy emphasis on the«hipster-ish» quotations. Coffee is great in that it doesn’t have a million calories like the Starbucks specialty drinks or that it’s not some crappy randomly poured Dunkin’. No worries — I spent countless dollars on both Dunkin and Starbucks. I’m a true fan of «finding places in Boston that doesn’t remind you that you’re in Boston» and this is one of them.

It was pretty busy when I went to Caffe Nero but the line moved fast. Even though it was busy, the staff was very friendly– I appreciate that! I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha. It was pretty good but I would prefer if it was a little sweeter. The cream to coffee ratio was perfect for me. It was hard to find a spot to sit but it is a smaller café…

Good coffee, cool space, hard to find a seat. Its not the best coffee in the world but hey, it does the trick. And it aint too shabby either. The space is really nice though. If you can snag a chair its a great place to get work done.

Disappointed with the cappuccino I ordered but the price(2.80) made me feel slightly better. I’ve had worst drinks for 3 – 4 dollars at other ritzy coffee shops. But I did come here to study. The atmosphere is very relaxing and good for that. The food selection is also promising. Homey and warm overall but they could improve the coffee.

First off, the cutest coffee shop. Nice fire place in the middle with welcoming seating. Love the iced coffee! The bacon cheese croissant is pressed and warm. Such a great start to a saturday in Boston. Will for sure be back for more!

Not a fan of chains but this café Nero is a great spot to hang out for the afternoon. Especially in cold Boston winters. Display case and chain vibe in the entrance is quickly forgotten with a good cup of coffee and cozy environment to relax in.

Apple walnut scone: delicious Latte: delicious Ambience: cozy and cool Staff: super friendly, quick, nice, accommodating, friendly The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the options are mostly baked goods, a couple filled croissants, a granola bowl, and add-hot-water oatmeal. I’d love steel cut oats or granola and fruit and yogurt or something along those lines.

What an unpleasant experience! I had been meaning to try out Caffe Nero after noticing them popping up everywhere in Boston over the past year or so. The South End location became my first visit. It was a Sunday afternoon and I went with two friends. We stared at the display case trying to choose a sandwich for an uncomfortable amount of time. No one asked us for our order for a good 5 – 10 minutes. It wasn’t crowded. When one of the baristas actually seemed interested in helping us, he quickly went on to serve the people behind us. I guess the 3 seconds it took me to realize that someone cared was too much time. «Are you all together» asked a different barista. We were together, yes, but paying separately. That somehow threw the entire staff for a loop. «So you want separate bags?» «Are you not paying together then?» «If you ordered from her, your whole group should order from her». Huh? So many questions. So annoying. They continued to talk amongst themselves trying to grasp our«odd arrangement» until we got our food. One friend had already paid, but waited with us in line. The barista basically told him to get lost: «you already paid, you don’t need to stand here anymore.» I was so taken aback by her comment that I forgot to get a rewards card! I guess I won’t need it. Anyway, the sandwich(Veggie) was good, though a little overpriced for a premade at $ 8+. My friend said they microwaved his ham and cheese before putting it in the panini press. I don’t need coffee shops like this in my life.

This would probably be my spot if I lived in the neighborhood. Friendly outdoor seating and cozy interior with outlets and a counter with coffee and baked goods, but, as a passerby, I was not really impressed. I got an almond milk latte, which was decent(probably would have given the shop 3 stars if that were the only thing I had ordered) but the egg breakfast sandwich was just terrible! It was over salted and smelled stale — definitely not going back to Café Nerro because of it.

Came to the South end neighborhood to try a brunch spot that we found on Unilocal, which happened to already be closed for brunch Having slept in late on this lazy Sunday, I missed my morning Americano and instead of making a beeline for the Starbucks directly in front of our parking spot, decided to find a little local coffee shop instead to give my business to. I only frequent Starbucks due to convenience, not for quality of product. Café Nero was busy and had plenty of people scattered around enjoying their lattes over books, laptops and conversation. I ordered an Americano and the woman at the register was very nice. My coffee was very smooth and balanced and the flavor was much better than Starbucks! A perfect cup of hot goodness on a cold and windy day. Yum!

New treat to the South End! A lot smaller compared to the one in downtown and a lot brighter during the day! Definitely a great spot to chat during the day but beware it there might not be a lot of seats if you want to try and get work done on your laptop. Nice staff per usual and drinks were awesome!

Best coffee shop around! It may be a chain, but they have wonderful coffee(all sorts!), FRESH sandwiches, and delicious pastries. WAY better than Starbucks, who I’ve been telling for years that they need to upgrade their sweets. Caffè Nero is totally worth the extra money!!!

This place is a great addition to the area(although I wish it was a fitness studio instead) but it’s fucking adorable. Way better than Francesca’s which used to be cash only(#sketch). The good: +GREAT service +excellent Americanos +free wireless +gorgeous windows overlooking the street and south end +not too expensive +10 purchase coffee card where you get a free drink +nice vibe, gorgeous space, beautiful area of the neighborhood. Will for sure be back! food looks great, too, although i just had an iced drink.
