I am a distance runner and have cycled through my share of overuse injuries through the years. Like all runners, I hate taking time off of training even if it is sure to cure an injury. Dr. Kelly has helped me to manage these sorts of injuries without giving up training – tendonitis, calf pulls, plantar fasciitis, hamstrings, etc. The treatments greatly improve recovery time and allow me to maintain fitness as best possible. She always explains the science behind what is happening and counsels me about what sort of exercise I should or should not do. She suggests strength and stretching routines that will help me avoid future problems. In short, she listens to patients and helps them to achieve their goals. I’ve been a patient since 2009 and have always had excellent treatment.

I am completely moved to write a shining review for this place. Nine months of pain and frustration(posterior tibial tendonitis pain which was originally misdiagnosed as scar tissue in my arch, which Dr. Nurse re-Dx as a knot in my calf/tibia) completely GONE in 45 minutes. GONE. I have never been so happy. I feel like I have my life back. I scheduled a 2nd appointment for next week too. Most importantly: I felt safe here. And when he said«You’re going to be fine», I actually believed it! I PR’d my 5K time during a training run the next morning. I am a little shocked, to be honest! If you have any kind of pain — please go see this guy! Go go go!

So I had an elbow problem. MRI a couple of years ago said it was a partially torn ligament and I was caught in a cycle of let-it-heal-six-months -/start working out -/reinjure -/repeat. I saw some very skilled doctors, bodyworkers and massage folks over that stretch of time and it just wasn’t getting any better. Then I heard about Active Release Technique in ‘The 4 Hour Body’ book. I figured it was worth a shot and found Dr. Kelly online. After two sessions(short, pretty easy — kind of like heavy duty massage) my arm was noticeably better. Now after four sessions I’m probably 98% good. It had been nerves trapped in scar tissue. Dr. Kelly worked them out and I’m good to go. She’s very skilled and very nice. Bonus for everyone used to paying big $ out of pocket for body work: insurance covers a lot of the cost of the visits. Highly recommended!
