Hey, it’s mall Chinese food, your expectations can’t be super-high! Heck, going in, mine might be so low as to say, if it doesn’t give me food poisoning or break the bank, then thumbs up from this guy! Well, Mandarin Express in Pierre Bossier Mall, I’m happy to report, passes that initial test with flying colors! To add more praise, I am also happy to report that they offer General Tso’s Chicken as a menu option(my fave!), aaaaand when you get a combo meal, for 99 cents extra you can purchase either two spring rolls or three crab rangoons!(another fave of mine!) Awe-some! Without a drink, a two portion combo(also got chicken with vegetables) with fried rice as a side and the extra rangoons, tax n’ all, ran me $ 7.61. And the food, although certainly not the best Chinese I’ve ever had, it was tasty enough and filled me up enough to push my baby girl in a stroller around to various shops in this mall. And the food court is a nice place to sit down and eat your meal from one of the several food outlets they have there at Pierre Bossier.
