Staff is very friendly and food came out fast. Food is also pretty good but it is overpriced in my opinion.

Ordered the bochos to go. I waited and waited and FINALLY got my cold food. Had to ask for bbq sauce even though I had already asked when I ordered.

This place is serving top quality barbecue. If you have never been you don’t know what you are missing. Do yourself a favor and go see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

This place was so yummy! Jasmine the cashier was such a sweet heart. The botato was so delicious and the brisket melted in my mouth! First time here and definitely not my last.

Great little dive place for BBQ and southern sides. Good food and an eclectic environment. Prices are a bit high for lunch, but you sure won’t leave hungry.

This place is a bit rundown and in need of a facelift in my opinion. The staff was friendly and tried the famous botato and I must say it was pretty good. The pulled pork was tasty and the potato was baked perfectly. The sour cream gave the pork an interesting taste. It was good and would recommend if in the area.

Solid place for BBQ. Tried the pulled pork sandwich w/okra and was quite tasty. Go for the food, don’t expect fancy décor.

Good BBQ sandwiches and the mint sweet tea is always refreshing. The real value comes from the peach cobbler!

The place like many restaurants in the area, is run down and in need of a good cleaning. The staff while friendly, could not seem to get our order right. Being a vegetarian at a barbecue place is often difficult. So the only option really for me was the«Bochos». Which are nachos meant to have brisket on them. I of course ordered them without. So they ended up having chips, barbecue sauce, nacho cheese, sour cream and jalapeños. They wouldn’t have been bad, had they not completely drowned them in the awful nacho cheese. I ended up throwing half of it away, because my stomach couldn’t stand the mass amounts of processed«cheese». We ordered some fried okra for a side, which was just your average fried okra. One thing to note here: the prices may seem a little steep, but they give you tons of food. Like you could easily split any dish on the menu. Overall, a mediocre dinner, that I wouldn’t eat again.

Stick with the Botato, is it a baked potato stuffed to overflowing with meat and cheese. While it is not the best BBQ I’ve had, it is good, one of my favorites in the area for sure. For me the chicken was a miss but any of the brisket and chopped meats were really good. Their house BBQ is awesome. The décor is very dated, and nothing to look at but the staff is relatively pleasant. The prices are good too.

This was, thankfully, one of the first places my husband and I found to eat here when we first moved into the area. The Botato is all that it’s talked up to be. I love the mint tea and the chopped brisket is amazing. Wasn’t a fan of their chicken, but to each their own. Tip: Don’t go in when they are close to closing; that was our fault and I don’t blame the place. They were almost out of everything; the staff is normally very friendly but this night they seemed impatient and you can sense they were ready to shut down – which I truly do understand. However, when we did order our meals to go, when we arrived home, we were missing two of our orders(ribs and sausage), so that was a little disappointing. However, that was one incident in the many other times we have been there. All the other times our experience has been amazing. Great food, not a long wait and the price wasn’t bad. Definitely try a Botato!

Very disappointed. The food tasted ok, nothing to brag about. Portion size small for the price. Leg quarters were miniature. Brisket sandwich was ok but again, portion size lacking. Could’ve gotten same thing at a gas station for half the price. Sorry, won’t be back

Dont let the looks of this place scare you away. Good BBQ, love their mint tea, and I loved the bread pudding.

Came here when I was in town visiting my cousin, apparently I had to try the Bachos and some good ol’ BBQ. Describing this place as casual is an understatement. Despite that, it appeared clean and well kept. They had the bottles of BBQ sauce in a crock pot to keep them warm. Each table has a roll of paper towels and a recycled 6 pack paper holder as the centerpiece(for ketchup and mustard). On to the food. We had the Bachos and some BBQ. The ribs were good, but the bachos were better. The bachos are essentially brisket over nachos and they were tasty. Add some sauce and go to town. messy and delicious. The sweet tea is very sweet so I watered it down with regular ice tea. Taste it first, trust me it is sweet. Also tried some beignet fries with ice cream. They are basically beignets in the shape of a french fry that you can dip in ice cream. Very good. At the end of the meal, we left fat and happy so mission accomplished. BTW, don’t ask for substitutions… you will get a «no» before you finish your sentence.

Disappointed. This is the south, why can’t there be BBQ everywhere? My brisket was more than likely cooked in a crock pot rather than a smoker. At least use liquid smoke for crying out loud. As a BBQ joint the BBQ is the show, not the potato or nachos. Calling random cuts of meat BBQ is not BBQ. The only redeeming quality was the fried okra, which was pretty good.

My wife and I stopped shortly after moving into the area. When I inquired about their Botato, I was told it was a ‘beaut’ and it pretty much lived up to that. Large baked potato with meat, cheese, butter, & sour cream — a meal unto itself. The chicken was pretty moist and everything had pretty good flavor and a bit of smoke, not overpowering. I can see how others may have thought it dry, but ours wasn’t(Although you do add your own sauce. Sauceless it could seam dry). Overall a good BBQ and reasonable prices.

Stopped on our way home to Dallas. Although starving, most food was unedible. Meat was very dry and ribs were an odd looking orange color. Sausage not great. I would not recommend.

stopped in while in town to work the bassmaster classic. came with a coworker. i was super excited to see they have spiced mint tea!!! was even more excited that the ribs are dry rub and not sloppy wet with some kind of nasty bbq sauce. cooked well and very very tasty. chicken was delicious. sausage was fine, not spectacular. bochos were not very good. too much fake cheese. beans ok, potato salad kind of bland but not bad. small but clean and friendly. decent prices. will come back if in town again.

Every time I am in town, this is on the«to-do» list. First, the food is very good. The wait staff is funny, personable and smiles! The place is not fancy at all, but it is clean! I wish they’d get rid of the Styrofoam cups for the sodas… but that’s my only dig. I heard Billy the Exterminator shows up on Thursdays!

When the officers from nearby Barksdale AFB tell war stories over lunch, they are real war stories. The local color of this BBQ might be the best thing they have going for them. It’s not the Bochos, the original dish of corn torilla chips topped with brisket, cheese whiz, japs and sour cream.
