Ok, one word«zip-lock bag»(okay, actually, that’s two). Been coming to Boothbay Harbor for five years and never stopped in until we decided that we hadn’t any saltwater taffy since our last visit to the South Jersey shore. Grabbed a big bag of a mix — still not sure which is my favorite, but they are going fast — need to think of going next year close to when we come into town so we have the taffys around for the entire stay not just the last few days.

Fresh made salt water taffy made right there in Booth Bay Harbor! Every flavor is insanely good! The peanut butter one has an actual chunk of peanut butter inside! Mind blowing! The rumor is it’s the only place that actually makes salt water taffy in Maine. It’s so good and very cheap!

I had taffy in every town in Maine that we visited. This was the best hands down! Daffy Taffy, do you ship your products??? If so, please message me.

My favorite taffy store is right here in Boothbay, Maine. I’ve had saltwater taffy from all over, it tends to be a default gift that is brought back when someone goes on vacation. Florida, Maryland, Jersey, meh… I have always found other taffy tastes too sweet, too artificial, or is too tough and sticky to chew. Daffy’s does it right. Taste is spot on, not artificial tasting, not too sticky, soft and chewy sweetness. Colorful though! Stripes and spots of color pepper each candy. They are often making the taffy right in front of you on this mesmerizing ‘kneading’ machine. Create your own mix of taffy straight out of the barrels they have lined up against the wall. I always buy way too much. My favorite flavor is the banana one and the cherry and watermelon.

Whenever I go to Boothbay, I absolutely CRAVE this place. It’s hard to miss it when we walk on the By-Way. The fudge is amazing, it literally melts in your mouth. Raspberry or peanut butter are my personal favorites, however, just about every flavor is amazing. Same thing with the taffy. The best flavors are vanilla, blueberry, and blue raspberry. Despite my saying this, we always just about fill up our bag with every flavor available.

I could eat taffy until my teeth fell out… and I could probably still eat it toothless, as Daffy’s taffy is soft and fresh. You see the mechanical taffy pull in the window and yes, folks, that’s the taffy you are getting. No bait and switch here! Daffy Taffy’s small, bright store warranted repeat visits on my recent visit to Boothbay Harbor. Bins along the wall contain all the flavors: molasses(a personal fave), peanut butter(Mama B.‘s fave), vanilla, root beer, lemon, lime, grape, and more. Control freaks, rejoice — you can grab a bag and create your own mix. You pay by the pound.

I just want some. Send me some. The best flavor is root beer! I cant stand lemon or lime. But I really crave this place all the time. I havent been in 10 years. But I am sure the quality is the same. The fudge. Peanut butter fudge!!! Rocky ROad

We got hooked on the taffy here. My son is crazy about the root beer flavor, as well as many others. Personally I like the chocolate and the molasses. We’d hoped to see the taffy-pulling machines behind the glass wall, but they weren’t being used the two times that we were there on this trip. The fudge in the adjoining window is the best I’ve found in the area so far — and I can say that with some authority, as I tried fudge from two or three other nearby fudge stores to compare and contrast(ah, the sacrifices I make in the pursuit of knowledge!). The chocolate fudge is top-notch, as is the penuche walnut. My son loves the chocolate wintergreen; my wife tried it and thought that was rather nasty, but there’s no accounting for taste.
