I was near by and decided to stop here since needed some items. The outside looked different from other Walmart’s not sure why that is. After walking around I noticed how well stocked this Walmart was and the prices were pretty fair. The only thing I didn’t like was that it’s not a super store so they only carried the basics in their food department. It was Saturday afternoon and I didn’t have to wait at all to pay witch was great.

Pretty horrible store and experience. It’s very unorganized and seems dirty, maybe because it’s a bit older. They don’t have a good food selection and anything else really. I’ve tried to return a couple items before and received very poor customer service. Avoid this Walmart at all cost if you’re able to.

Walmart in Boonton has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not only do the employees gang up on you when you try to return a BROKEN item which they originally incorrectly overcharged me for but they then proceed to talk amongst themselves in a foreign language– not okay when they are obviously talking about you! I will never be back to this Walmart and am appalled that such a huge organization doesn’t have better customer service practices in place. Time to take a closer look at your employees and their day to day actions, Walmart.

This place takes freakin’ FOREVER to restock the shelves. Most of the items I come for are almost never available, week after week. Asking for help is of no use. Complaining to HQ is pointless, as all they ever respond with is «Call the store manager»(without providing a name or phone number).

The sense of hopelessness is apparent the moment you walk through the greeter-less door. A smell permeates the entire store that would be familiar to anyone who has spent time in an abandoned tunnel. Opting for the convenience of ordering online and picking it up in the store, after what seemed like endless searching for an employee, I was directed to the customer service area in the rear of the store. Just look for the sign for the bathrooms and well, there it is. It’s a silent zen garden of forgotten merchandise mingling with dust and mismatched shelving. I pressed the summon help button and greatly appreciated the 14 minutes of alone time to think about exactly which two cables I would later employ to hook up my new sound bar. Orders can’t be looked up by name, nor whatever bar code you receive scanned. So while you can see your merchandise, in the eyes of the Walmart Oracle it shall never be released. And there’s some sort of anti theft twine that can’t be opened at that particular customer help station. So it’s off to the front of the store! I ate three granola bars on the journey. Nobody seemed to notice. I would have given it one star since I likely contracted Hepatatis from the checkout bag centrifuge. But the one employee who helped me did at least try to put forth a front of whatever the opposite of apathy is. I could see she was shackled by a system designed to simultaneously crush the souls of customer and employee.

I hate Wal marts I general but somehow this one seems to get worse and worse as years and days go on. Everything and anything about it sucks. Don’t ask for help your better off finding a customer because not one employee knows anything it takes 5of them to figure out one problem and then you find out that they’re some how still wrong.

I’m a bit surprised by the negative reviews. Yeah, it may be just a Wal-Mart, but on the Sunday I went, it wasn’t crowded at all(something that is a big issue with the location closest to me in Secaucus). I found the items I wanted easily, the price was right, and I left. Also nice was the fact that the clothing wasn’t all messy or picked over like in other locales(Secaucus: cough-cough). I definitely would come here again, even if it is a drive.

Do I really need to write a review for Walmart? Really? In that case… I have nothing much to say except, it is Walmart: Always cheap, crowded, smelly and stressful.

As others have noticed, this particular Walmart has terrible customer service. One of the store managers, Dolar, accused my family of lying about the price of an item. After some arguing, he refused to believe us and so we said we wouldn’t take the item. We showed him that we were indeed correct, and instead of saying sorry, Dolar went on to simply concede and say we should buy it. At that point, we were too outraged and were trying to walk out, when Dolar followed us almost to the door, saying, «I don’t understand! I’m giving it to you for the lower price! Take it!» The poor customer service does not end there. I filed a complaint with that night once I got home. I received a call from another manager from the Boonton branch, Frank. When he called me, he had not fully read through my complaint and asked me what the problem was. I told him to read through my letter, at which point he proceeded to read it out loud to me. He said that all he could do was apologize for the inconvenience. This Walmart is always poorly stocked, with the rudest employees I have ever encountered. The frequency with which I visit this Walmart has significantly gone down, and whenever I have no choice but to go, I make sure to use the self-checkout line so I don’t have to deal with any employees.

It’s a Wal-Mart, an average WalMart with a big parking lot, a small frozen food section, pharmacy, and greenhouse. Pretty standard, it gets the job done and never has long lines. The pharmacy is pretty fast with good staff. This location is generally pretty clean, has a Redbox right inside the front door, and has self-checkout lines. It’s a standard Wal-Mart, nothing special, no fresh food, and not the classiest customers, so 3 stars it is.

I always liked Walmart until I had a problem with a return, and dealt with Kelly. She was the RUDEST, NASTIEST person I’ve ever dealt with, despite the fact that she was 100% wrong! That was unacceptable. I of course argued, and won. I wanted to see the manager and ask if he could view a security tape of this incident, but I never had the time or energy to persue it. If I worked that way at my job, I’d be fired on the spot.
