WHOLEWHEATPIZZA that’s DELICIOUS! I moved away from the Boonton area about five years ago but periodically stock up for my freezer. It even got me through Hurricane Sandy since I could heat up slices in a pan on my gas stovetop.

Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in this area. I went to Delizia’s just now with my friend. We waited for several minutes to be seated but no one came so we just sat ourselves. It took ten minutes for our waitress to come with a menu and ask what we wanted to drink. We got our drinks and placed our orders. That is when a huge kids’ baseball led by local fake and overrated celeb Buddy Valastro, the Cake Boss, came barging in. They sat in one area in the back where everyone was screaming and all over the place. None of the parents did anything to control their obnoxious kids and the wait staff did not tell them to control their party. It took us 20 minutes to get our standard house salads. It took another 5 minutes(along with a bad attitude from the waitress) to get our garlic bread. Eventually my friend and I realized we had been waiting for our main courses for 30 minutes after getting the garlic bread and salad. We asked our waitress where our food was and the obnoxious ill-mannered woman told us «ummmmm we’re busy». Unacceptable and so rude. We got our food ten minutes later and the pasta sauce was watery because they obviously did not strain the pasta well enough, but we didn’t complain because clearly no one was capable of making our dining experience remotely okay. I complained to a male waiter(he seemed to be a managerial type) and he was gracious and apologetic unlike our rude scumbag of a waitress. DONOTCOMEHERE. Food is average. Service is below trash. Go to Anthony Franco’s in Lincoln Park, Joe’s in Montville, or Gencarelli’s in Pine Brook. The service and food is supremely better than the mediocrity that is Delizia’s.

I come here all the time for they’re Monday /Tuesday large cheese pie specials and always grab a couple of their gourmet slices, which are incredible! My favorites are their Sicilian grandma pie, grilled chicken avocado… and I just had a slice with chicken spinach cherry tomato garlic & pesto… I forget what it was called but it was sublime! I tend to stick to what I know & like, so can’t speak for the entire menu, but their pizzas are incredible and their sandwiches are really good(chicken parm, etc). Not every restaurant is going to have the best of everything, but this place is tops in those categories. The ingredients are always fresh & flavorful, and the staff is super friendly. Definitely worth trying out!

I love the food at Delizia’s, I really do. But they simply cannot get an order right. I ordered«Paula’s Panini» — breaded chicken, eggplant, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, balsamic vinegar — and asked for the sandwich without chicken. It took 3 attempts to relay my order to the woman on the phone, and she repeated the order back to me correctly. When I picked up the food and brought it home, I realized they didn’t put chicken or eggplant on the sandwich, but put chopped up pieces of portobello mushrooms on it. Mushrooms weren’t even on the menu for this panini. Good food, but what’s the point of coming here if you don’t get what you pay for?

Needless to say that today was my first visit here and I was quite disappointed ! There are many pizza places around Northern NJ but one thing that sets them apart is their pizza. I have tried many pizza places and unfortunately none of them come close to «The real NY pizza.» I purposely tried a plain regular pie and a few slices of the thicker Sicilian style pizza. Now I must tell you that at one point I owned an Italian restaurant, so I really know good food. Why is it that most of the pizza places make pizza only one step above cafeteria style frozen pies. Dough, canned sauce and cheese. Making a unique totally homemade sauce takes time and effort, and many places don’t have the time or desire to make their own. Delizzia pizza falls into this category. Sauce tastes like Ragu with no outstanding seasoning. I will not be returning as I don’t care for their pizza so other dishes are most likely in the same category!

I enjoyed the ingredients and relative lightness of the sauce. I don’t normally order salad pizzas, but the simplicity was a really nice change of pace from the meat lovers extravaganza of pizzas we’ve been eating during the past months. I liked the olive oil and the fresh tomatoes. I thought the crust was good and generally enjoyed the pizza and found myself wanting to eat more. Chicken Caesar Salad pizza is just delicious. Alex the owner is a great guy.

Good pizza, crisp crust, no corn meal or excessive flour etc, just good crust with good sauce, inexpensive for what you get as well.

Okay, this place is usually very busy, but for good reason. They’re a little bit more expensive than other pizza places in the area, but I don’t care, it’s worth it because I like the food here a LOT better than the other pizza places in the area. The staff is always friendly/pleasant, even during the crazy dinnertime rush. They manage the queue efficiently. Sometimes I’ve had to wait 10 – 15 minutes after ordering(I should have called the order in) but that’s usually only if I order a pasta dish or something other than a regular slice. That’s okay, I’m willing to wait a few minutes for fresh, delicious food. Love this place. Worth checking out!

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat before traveling to AC… Menu is extensive. Place is very clean. Waitresses were very nice . I had the Kitchen Salad. Bed of mixed greens with fried chicken cutlet, avocado, hard boiled egg, red onion and tomato. For two meals $ 23.00 if u go during lunch time Monday thru Friday you get 10% off. Not a bad deal

Very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to pizza. They take pride in their products and serve only the best original combinations. Try their margarita, fajita, perigee or deep dish Chicago style pizza. They offer dine in, take out and are able to accommodate large families/parties !!

FRESH. just one word to describe the food here! I wasn’t feeling well so I came to order a chicken noodle soup to go. Got here and saw all the amazing selections on display and decided to order a chicken roll as well. Total was $ 9.35. Not terrible. The soup definitely was homemade which is exactly what I was looking for. Looked like it had been just made today. I would have liked for there to have been more chicken and noodles however. I counted about 4 pieces of chicken Felt a little skimpy for the #3.50 I paid. Besides that it was SO good. I tasted maybe a hint of lemon in it. It also came with a side of bread which was nice. Chicken roll was just as tasty. My favorite part was the marina sauce that came on the sauce. Tasted sooooooo fresh. Easy location and I will definitely need to make another visit here!

I went here today for the first time and really enjoyed their pizza. I saw the restaurant’s reviews on here and was not going to try it but I am glad I did anyways. I got two slices, one was quesadilla pizza and the other was bruchetta. Both were very good. The staff was also friendly although I did not eat in. I will go here again!

Pizza is hit or miss. Slices look interesting but you’re taking a chance with freshness. The last two times we had pizza with old tasting chicken. Another time the pepperoni slice was greasy and floppy like it was a full day old. If you’re ordering a full pie then you’ll be delighted. Just be wary of the slices that are often gross and pricey.

We were hungry, in the area, and on a tight schedule so we decide to give this pizza shop a try. Normally, I go for a plain slice to get a feel for the basic offering. But I spotted a new-to-me square pie with raised edge crust and slices of fresh mozzarella on top with what looked like a dollop of pesto splashed across them. The friendly counter man said it was a Grandpa pie — like I said, new to me. The verdict was … It was excellent. Lots of flavor. Wonderful sauce and, yes, it was fresh cheese topped wit pesto. So good that I went back for a second slice. Only 4 stars because the basic slice(had to try it) was pretty good but not as good as the Grandpa pizza. Lots of parking. Huge dining room. Extensive menu worth exploring and next to a wine shop for BYOB. Recommended. Update: for Oscar night, we grabbed a whole Grandpa pie for the party and it was fantastic. Everyone raved. Bumped up the rating to a well deserved Fifth star. Well done guys…

I’ve lived in the area now for 4 – 5 years now. Boonton literally had a dozen pizza places all within a couple miles of each other(including the much heralded Reservoir Tavern). I’ve been to at least half of them, and Delizia’s has the best pizza I’ve tried, hands down. My wife and I adore the Vodka Sauce w/Fresh Mozzerela pizza. The sauce is made fresh to order. I highly recommend it! The best pizza I’ve tried anywhere. I agree with some of the other posts that the service can be substandard sometimes. However, I’m usually picking up and don’t have to deal with the wait staff too often. The guys behind the counter are friendly, efficient, and fast; even when they get blitzed.

Every time I try this place I continuously find something negative to write about. We decided to order from here rather than Junior’s because Delizia has gluten free pizza. What I didn’t realize was it’s a gluten free personal pie. When I went to pick up my order I asked where my other pie was, upon learning that I was now short food I just told them to throw in whatever plain slices they had laying around to make up for the shortage. The fact that they charged me the slice rate of $ 1.75 really ticked me off because I was willing to take a whole pie if they had one available, I probably paid the same price for a whole pie as it was. As for the food, we had a chicken stromboli roll and the thing is kinda scrawny looking, I wouldn’t recommend. It also tasted like it was made in the morning so I’ll pass on that for next time. The eggplant parm was all cheese and hardly any eggplant. All in all I’ll stay away
