McAlister’s Deli

Great restaurant! There are 2 locations conveniently located on campus for us college kids. It is our only choice other than the dining hall. The food is always good. Potato soup is my favorite! Great place to eat.

OK, ALL the McAlister Deli (s) I have eaten at in my travels get 4 or 5 stars. No so the one at 170 Stadium Drive Boone, NC and I did not even eat there! How can this be you ask? Because when I followed my GPS to the address shown for the Boone location on MCAlister’s website, I ended up at Trivette Hall on the Appalachian College campus with no place to park (assigned student parking spaces only), no sign whatsoever for McAlister’s and when I dialed the phone number shown on the website some lady answered and said I had reached Trivette Hall? She thought the McAlisters might be in another college building? Are you freaking kidding me? An hour and a half round trip drive just to eat at McAlisters in Boone and the place is invisible/​buried in the bowels of some college building in Boone and I suppose us loyal fans of McAlister’s are just supposed to do what? Hey McAllister’s…put something on your website that clues us loyal customers into this madness and maybe someone else won’t waste the time trying to reach the unreachable. One star for my inconvenience… deal with it McAlisters.
