Higher Grounds Coffee Shop

We stopped by after exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway for a warm drink. Hoping they had a cider drink, they did not. So we opted for the caramel apple chai tea (by Big Train) — and it was so yummy. A good twist on the traditional chai latte!
Lots of whole bean coffee to chose from, as well as samplers of many, if not all, of the coffees. Some yummy sounding flavors were toasted marshmallow and snicker doodle!
Service was quick, and the young lady was very nice.
I’d stop by again!

In vacation, checked it out due to fabulous reviews… They weren’t lying. This place is fantastic! We got the flavored espresso drinks, super chill atmosphere, a little pricy but worth the money, its a little tucked into a shopping center if your not looking for it you will miss it!

No better coffee shop! I’ve patronized Higher Grounds for several years and have yet to find a better coffee shop regardless of location in NC or other states while travelling. The menu is great and I highly recommend the White Chocolate Mocha! The prices are on par with other shops. There’s a great atmosphere, plenty of seating, free Wi-​Fi, easy access with plenty of parking, great hours and on top of this, the staff, to include the owners, are very friendly and second to none. Kudos to Higher Grounds and thank you for your service!

Great selection of coffee. Cozy atmosphere. Some tables and sofas to seat. Friendly staff. My daughter loved the vanilla steamer and red velvet cup cake. Reasonable prices.

Great coffee! Cute interior. They had some holiday drinks I wanted to try but I decided to go with their caramel latte called «The Caramel Thing». Had a pleasant time talking with my boyfriend and the barista was super friendly which I always appreciate in a coffee shop. Would definitely come again!

Stopped in last night to get some whole bean coffee. Wonderful selection. Helpful staff. Drinking the Tanzanian this morning. Nice smooth coffee.

Great espresso! I loved it, definitely the best I’ve tried in Boone. I absolutely love this place; they have super-​creative specials and no matter who is working, the drinks are just impressively delicious and consistent.
I like to switch it up but I usually get a hot salted caramel latte. They steam milk like coffee bosses. It’s summer and I get hot drinks here– that’s how good they are!
If I’m feeling it, I’ll get 3 shots over ice with some of their simple syrup and cream. BOLD. That’s what you’ll taste; sweet, creamy boldness. I love it. Also, they have the best ice cream ever. I’ve only tried it once but you might want to save room for some, or a mango smoothie.
This is a nice place to meet up with friends, homework, whatever you have in mind. Your kids will find something good here so don’t worry about that. They do frapps and all that jazz of course.
Also, come here if you’re looking for whole beans. The selection is phenomenal! I haven’t bought any but judging by the taste of their drip coffee, you won’t regret the investment. You can also grind them on site, so no sweat if you don’t have a grinder.
Best coffee shop in Boone in my opinion.

This was a nice surprise on a rainy Sunday. Great music, friendly and upbeat barista, and good coffee. They have a flavored option, rotating blend, house (dark) and decaf. My only complaint is that there are limited non-​table options and everything is served in a to go cup. I love mugs if I’m sticking around for a while. Bit I will certainly be back.

This place has friendly staff and good java. I had the «caramel thing» drink and a hot chocolate. They have good pasteries and plenty of seating. Good location near the main drag and the movie theatre.

Very peaceful and relaxed– great Coffee– as well as many yummy sweets Free Wifi is great as well. The Owners and staff are as warm and friendly as you will ever meet a awesome place to relax
