Another example of how wonderful Unilocal can be. In Boone from CA and needed a pedi before the wedding weekend festivities begin. Found City Nails had the most Unilocal reviews so that was the one I selected. The ladies were all very nice. When I walked is there was only one other customer and he was getting the royal treatment and enjoying every minute! By the time I left every chair was busy. It was a great Unilocal find!

I can’t believe these reviews are legitimate. I needed my nails done while traveling through, Boone the week before last. When I passed City Nails, I took a chance on them. While they were very friendly and fast, I was extremely disappointed with the manicurist’s work. She began by soaking my fingers in a bowl of acetone rather than by removing the old shellac from my nails. then she smeared polish onto my fingers and toes and never bothered to clean it up. They charged me $ 70 for a mani-​pedi and I won’t go back.

A friend and I are on vacation and we chose this place based on the reviews, and they were right! The staff was very friendly and they did a great job. They even gave my friend a tarheel design on her nails using only a picture and free hand. If we lived in Boone we would def be back more often!!!
Everyone was very knowledgable and helpful and not pushy like so many nail salons can be.

I have tried many nail salons around and FINALLY found my go to place!!! I’ve had nails for years in Texas and went to the same place. When I moved to Banner Elk, I was super bummed to try 4 different nail salons with awful results. City Nails did such an AMAZING job! We are moving for the winter, but will be back next summer! I highly recommend City Nails for some quality product

I came here on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded. Yes only three people are working there but they are all VERY nice. I will continue to go there on a regular basis. They don’t cut into my toes and finger like most places do. They also have clean foot baths and a wide selection of nail polish.

Was in a pinch prior to a wedding. I’m not local so this was a stab in the dark. Smaller nail salon than I’m used to but the service was better than most. I was in and out super fast, friendly service and clean salon. They made my fix quickly and professionally. If I’m ever in this location again an need nail services I know where to go!

A group of college friends and I were in Boone for a wedding and just needed a place that was close to Blowing Rock and affordable. City Nails was perfect.

Pedicure was not worth 35 dollars. It was busy so they were rushing. It’s hard to get to everyone when you only have 3 people working. Paid $ 35 for shellac nail manicure and did not get a manicure. My hands were soaked and cuticles were treated but that’s it… Such a rip off, no lotion, massage, heat. I pay to relax and I did not get that experience. Over all $ 70 trip for an ok job. Nails look nice but not worth the hassle. I won’t be coming back. The young man was accommodating when I needed something fixed but it didn’t make up for the areas that were lacking.

A young man did a a full set for me, he was very attentive and could tell my cuticles were sensitive, so he went very gently. No pressure, offered a few other services, very friendly, will definitely go back. Best nail place in boone!
