We had the worst restaurant experience ever last Sunday. The service was lazy at best, the food was far too overpriced and over cooked. The shrimp in the fajitas were rubbery and chewy and only three of them were in the entire order. We were supposed to get ‘unlimited’ chips and salsa. When our food finally arrived, we asked the waiter when our chips were coming. He stated it was a serve yourself bar. Ok.. . So we went to get some chips and to our surprise, there were crumbled bits of chips, the leftovers, if you will. No manager, server, busser or otherwise came to see how we were enjoying, or not enjoying our meal. Intact, we were left to bus our own table and add it to the piles of dishes on the surrounding dirty tables. Finally, when the bill came, to add insult to injury, an 18% gratuity was added to our bill. I had had enough at that point. I asked to speak with the manager. This young kid came over and as I told him account by account what a terrible evening we had, he stated that he wished he could help, but we already paid.. . Needless to say, we won’t be back!

The seafood buckets are the BOMB! My husband and I usually get one and split it because it is SO much food! The seafood is great! We love this place!

The seafood buckets are pure deliciousness. We like to get the Original Baja Bucket– carne asada(so tender), grilled chicken, baja shrimp(good flavor), and slipper lobster tail(mmm) — good for us to share; all buckets come with beans, rice, tortillas, chips & salsa, and last but not least, honey chili butter(it’s sooooo good). The salsa bar is pretty neat(variety) and offers something for everyone to enjoy. We’ve gotten the buckets almost every time; once we got something different, for lunch, and it was good, but the buckets are simply the best! So satisfying, it’s probably the best meal we’ve had in San Diego. Yes, there are other buckets, but this one is delicious, and why fix something that isn’t broken? The covered patio gives an outdoorsy feeling and there is a part of the restaurant that is inside, if you’re worried about being cold. It kind of feels like a party atmosphere. There is a bar on one side with tv’s. The service is really good. The staff is pleasant and courteous. This restaurant came to Las Vegas for a short-lived time(that sucks how some restaurants go belly up in LV) and my husband thought that it would take away from this one, but I didn’t see it that way. Although it was quite a drive from us, still really enjoyed the original bucket.

Not my favorite but i’m happy to go here anytime someone wants to try it. The food isn’t spectaculay buts its pretty good. I love their buckets of local beers for a very good price. That alone makes it worth the stop.

My husband and I went here during Comic-Con. Considering the increased traffic, we were seated quickly and well-attended. However, the food was nothing to write home about. For such mediocre food, it was rather overpriced. However, the menu was special for Comic-Con with alot of superhero/villan references; which made for a pretty fun time.

OK, this place is good for buckets of seafood. There’s an all you can eat chips and salsa station with sides. It seemed like a combination Mexican and seafood restaurant. I love seafood, that’s why a bucket of lobster tails sounds good. We found this place while roaming around old town San Diego.
