I was in the mood for a smoothie but I wasn’t in the mood to spend $ 8 on a smoothie at Jamba Juice or Robeks. Saw this place on Unilocal and this is now my new go to smoothie shop! Pros 1. The price is great 2. The smoothie tasted great 3. Service was fast 4. Ingredients seem healthier than Jamba Con No AC I’d support this local smoothie shop over Jamba any day.

Rubber band in my drink. This is the first Unilocal review I’ve ever written– and it comes after initial horrible service(the cashier kept leaving and snickering with his buddies while taking my order and I had to wait a minute before I could hand him my card because he stopped and prepped an entire to go order). Then like I said in my drink was a BLUERUBBERBAND. I attached a picture of the largest piece that wasn’t accidentally ingested by me. Never go here.

The workers are super friendly, the place is very clean, and the food/drinks are delicious! I LOVE their lunch special, which is a turkey pesto panini and a smoothie(I get the tropical island).

They have a lunch special that comes with a sandwich and any smoothie. I asked if it was okay to get a chamango instead and they aren’t supposed to allow that, but the guy went ahead and gave it to me anyway. So for that alone, I’ll give them 5 stars.

I ordered an acai bowl and it was pretty good, I was satisfied. It does not come with honey but the gentleman was very nice and gave me some on the side for free. It had a good amount of granola and fruit: not too much but not too little. My friend got a fruit salad and said it was very good. The fruit was very fresh. The menu had a lot of variety and different options to chose from. Would definitely recommend!

I come here all the time. The acai bowls are really good and the paniniS are yummy. I come in here for everything they have smoothies, fruit bowls, tostilocos, shots of wheat grass and tortas. They also have dip n dots ice cream. The parking lot gets packed around 1−3pm but in the morning or late evenings it’s fine.

Really good food. I usually get the tuna sandwich or blt with avocado. The smoothies are pretty good too. Nice place to eat when you don’t want fast food, a good choice for something on the healthier side.

You can’t beat the price for the fresh squeezed juices here. 16oz $ 3.9520oz $ 4.5024oz $ 4.95 My two favorite drinks here are the Jugo Verde and the Vampiro! My coworkers always get tortas here, I haven’t tried them yet… oh and the pico de gallo is good too!

Came in here the other day got greeted right away and ordered a smoothie. Asked very politely to make me one with out any dairy for the fact that my son is highly allergic to dairy. So to make it only with juice. He told me sure don’t worry about it. Me and him were sharing all of a sudden 15 minutes later he started getting A lot of hives. Really omg not very good left that place with a really bad impression. Small place but come on people why not do what the customer ask especially since I just told you why…

Their chicken chipotle Panini is so good! I always order multigrain bread and add avocado-delish! They have a great variety of juices, if you order a V6 which sounds nasty but surprisingly the flavor is pretty good-it has ginger so if you dislike ginger flavor this is not the juice for you. Energizer juice is pretty good, better and sweeter than V6. Haven’t tried their salads or sandwiches yet but so far it’s a place that has me coming back!

Thought I would give them another chance. It’s 8:09 and no one is here… doors are locked. Maybe you should change your sign to OPEN-whenever we stumble in.

Love the juices here after eating next door. I recommend the jugo verde($ 3ish for 16oz) and a chamango($ 4ish). I get the jugo verde because it has cactus in it and other greens. The chamango has the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. I don’t like hot things much so it may not be the drink for you. I recommend coming here if you’re in the South Bay.

They cheat their customers. I went in their to order a fruit drink. Asked for specific fruit in drink. While i was waiting I see the guys going back and fourth looking for something. Didnt think much of it til I got home and the drink did not taste like it does when I normally get it. Now it makes sense, they were looking for something for my drink. Maybe instead of not giving the customer what they ordered they should have let me know. This is not good in my book.

Nice little spot, parking wasn’t hard to get as they have a decent sized lot. They have tons of Mexican goodies and delicious smoothies/juices that is all I have tried to so I can’t speak about the rest of their menu. Always good service and not too much of a wait. Only wish that the smoothies weren’t so watery but definitely tasty!

I do this place. It’s right next door to my barber so I stop in once in a while. They got healthy food for you, which is a good thing. Across the street is the Bonita golf course so you can run a few miles and then come get yourself a fresh juice or acai bowl. Whatever. They also have smoothies, raspados, pico de gallo which has nothing to do with chicken but is have a kick to it. It’s basically a fruit salad but Mexican style with chile and limon aka lemon. It also has jicama which is a root from the Americas I believe. Got verify that.

Expect a bit of delay to get your food but it’s worth the wait. Fresh and delicious tortas all the way! Never disappoints!

I came here to try their chamangos, which are mango smoothies with mexican candy and I forgot the name of the spicy syrup stuff they put on it but its making my mouth salivate as I am even thinking about it. My favorite go to chamango spot has to be Teresitas Fruiteria off of Palm Avenue in Southside of San Diego. I thought this place was okay, it looked like a typical fruit/juice bar places in San Diego. The price of a small was $ 3.50, which is reasonably way cheaper than Teresitas. When they served us the Chamango it had a lot of the syrup added to it that it kind of took away the mango smoothie flavor I loved. They only added a little bit of the tamarindo candy which I was disappointed about. They also only had a few chunks of mango. and it didn’t come with the stick candy! :(

Papayas is a pretty great place for delicious smoothies! They don’t taste so bitter and grassy like Jamba Juice. I am absolutely in love with their Piña Colada smoothie and order it every time I’m there. Their fruit bowls are also amazingggg I recently tried the acai bowl and unfortunately I also think it’s very liquidy and not fluffy and icy. I think they just blend up a smoothie and drop it in which isn’t right but it still tastes pretty good in my opinion so I’m not really mad. But I can see how people are frustrated about it. Overall I think papayas is a really awesome hole in the wall place that deserves more love.

There’s really not too much to say about this place other than: GREAT staff – super friendly Delicious, well-priced food Healthy alternative to your average«quick» food Fast turnaround if you’re running in on a lunch break. The only downside(and this isn’t even for Papayas itself) is the parking. It’s terrible around lunch time, so good luck. Check them out!

So, this place is right by a place I frequent for fish tacos(see my TJ Oyster Bar review), and my hubby and I went there as we waited for our fish tacos, so that we can try out the chamango(we love chamangos. Lol). The actual chamango wasn’t the best we’ve had, but it surely wasn’t bad. It was actually pretty good and refreshing. They also sell food, including breakfast. This is a small, grab and go place, so I definitely would love to go and try them out for their breakfast sandwich before work! I work pretty close.
