Lane Bryant

I don’t shop here because I am a guy, but the staff is always attentive to my friend, the music they have piped in is fun to listen too, and the place is always clean. My friend has had to return an item a few times and there has never been a problem. As being the only guy in here sometimes, I am not treated any different. I am just one of the girls.

The only reason they are getting one star is because there is not an option of for no stars.
I’m attempting to lose weight, but have about another twenty pounds to lose before I will be out of plus size clothing. After unsuccessfully attempting to shop for workout clothing at three other stores, I went to Lane Bryant. I had noticed online that they had a good selection. In the store, not so good. I found two style that would work for me but one did not come in my size. When I approached a sales person and asked if they had it in my size in the back, she said she would check with another employee that worked there. We walked over to the other women who said she didn’t think so but she was not sure. Then they started talking between themselves about whether it was a new item or an old item. I asked if they could check and they both looked at each other hemming and hawing. Really? Really ladies, you can’t even walk to the store room and check on an item for a customer. Last time I worked in retail I recall that being part of the job! As they stared at each other I put the item back on the rack.
Also, it was not because they were busy! Never going back!

Its been a long time since I stepped foot into a Lane Bryant and even when I did I never really found a lot that I liked. Well after looking here, I am left with the same impression, limited selection, extremely overpriced, and a store that caters to a much older crowd. I also realized that since I last shopped here, the prices have gone up substantially. A shirt I could get at Target or Old Navy was almost $ 50. I only saw one item that I even thought about, maybe trying on but it’s sale price was nothing special and it didn’t seem worth it.
I can honestly say, I can see why Lane Bryant stores all over are closing. Places like Torrid cater to plus size girls that want to be trendy and not frumpy. Old Navy has a great selection of clothing and many things go up to a size 20 and online has an even bigger selection. Even Target has a small dedicated plus size selection. There are so many other options and Lane Bryant has become irrelevant in the world of plus size clothing. A while ago it was my only option but I now really have no reason to shop at Lane Bryant anymore and probably never will.

I do not shop here as much as I used to and why I think is their «right fit» technology! I am so-​o confused every time I come in here and am trying a million different sizes and combinations with it. They have this newer right fit thing that is suppose to help you get a better fit, it just confuses the hell out of me! And every store associate I get tells me different ways so I never know which way to go! They have yellow/​straight, red/​moderately curvy, or blue/​curvy? So which one would I think I’d be– blue! And not their regular sizes, ex. 14,16,18? But they go by 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on, so on. So very confusing! And every time I have gone in here I have gotten different sizes! And not because I’ve gotten bigger or smaller, just weird sizing! Please go back to your regular sizes, I’m sure you’ve turned a lot of fairly intelligent woman off! I do love their bras made in larger sizes! And keep up with all your coupons, they get me out and shopping more frequently!

I was in here right around the holidays, looking for something to wear for a New Year’s Eve party, and I wanted an outfit that could either be dressed down a bit and also worn to work.
I really wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped me, because she was absolutely fantastic. She set me up with a great and versatile outfit, and picked out some accessories that dressed it up for the night. If it wasn’t for her, I probably would have ended up buying a hideous dress that I would never wear again.
They still need to work on some of their selections, but with the help of the saleswoman, this place gets another star!
