Century Tile & Carpet

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! The sales rep was 100% incompetent! He could not give me a straight answer. The reason why was because he was giving me a misleading rate and we reviewed the whole quote we saw they wanted to charge us almost $ 4,000 more than what he was initially saying! This place is a total scam and should be shutdown. There are 100’s of contractors that will do a honest’s days work in the western suburbs. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your project or materials. This place is not worth supporting!

WORSE place ever! I bought carpet in October and it was supposed to be installed on a Thursday and a NO show happen no call or anything. I had to call around looking for my carpet… nobody can explain why they delay the installing and I had tenants moving on Friday which they were laying carpet and upset my tenants.
THEN stupid me went back to the store in April found some pretty tile and hire Century tile to install. What a nightmare. First they were supposed to start the installation on a Monday and no show and I had to call and find out what is going on then finally Wednesday they show up to re-​do the tile around the tub. FIRST they put the tile up wrong then they didn’t even check to make sure the plumbing worked right once the job was done… in which I had to hot water and this was the hold shower in my whole condo. Also they didn’t take the tile to the floor either because it wasn’t like that in the 80s is their excuse.
All I know is you can’t get anybody return calls especially when there is a problem and if there is problem they ignore you. ALSO the owner never ONCE called me about this situation. NEVER NEVER EVER go here!!! Now I have tile that was supposed to be subway style and its square I have upset tenants because the plumbing wasn’t working and also they moved the toilet and that started to leak and of course Century Tile did NOTHING about that I had to hire another plumber to fix that. Also the tile did not go to the floor eventually I will have issues with water and the trim now because of them.
OH and my left materials are all gone they kept them all!!!

Words can not express how disappointed I am with this business. However, I will try. We had our office floors installed by Century Tile a number of years ago. Recently one of our Pergo floors began peeling and chipping inexplicably. After reviewing my documents I asked Century Tile to please honor their warranty and replace the 5 or 6 boards that are falling apart. They sent out an «independent inspector» and after his «unbiased» inspection, Century Tile refused to help me fix the floor. They blamed the event on me and said that they would not cover it. They stopped responding to my phone calls or emails. I was very patient with them unfortunately I must say something to warn others. Stay away from this store. I hope I was able to convey my opinion about this old, dirty and unprofessional business.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Most horrible experience ever! Waited over two weeks for a box of tile, they called to say it was in and when we went to pick it up, they said it wasn’t there. Finally, the tile was ready and half the box was cracked. The gentleman, Mike, who assisted was extremely unhelpful and actually stated we were being demanding by asking for another box of tile to be ordered. I cannot say enough horrible things about this old, antiquated, inefficient store!
