Will not go back. The people working were unfriendly and indifferent to us being there. The ratio of rice to protien was way skewed. Too much rice and the vegetables had been from a frozen package. The tongatsu it self was good.

The Spicy Peanut Noodles are fantastic, as are the sweet onion bowls on most days. The last time I went in, I ordered a sweet onion bowl with chicken, but didn’t get very much chicken. This was the only time this has happened, but I was a little disappointed since I drove quite a ways to pick up the food and take it home to eat. I guess I should have checked before I left the restaurant. Overall, this place is great! Definitely worth going back to.

Yesterday was my first time ordering from this place. I had chicken katsu curry to go(I uploaded the chicken katsu picture). Katsu looked too brown, almost burnt. It didn’t look very appetizing. The curry however was pretty good, and I was craving for Japanese curry the other day, hence the 3 stars. I might come back to try the teriyaki menu.

I came here because I wanted to try out the boba. It wasn’t bad at all. I ordered the honeydew boba, and it was alright. I’ve tried better ones in California. I was surprised they have so many flavors that I don’t see in many boba shops in California, so that was pretty cool.

This location works well for me, and their service and food make me a pretty«happy camper». I recommend the teriyaki rice bowls which can have your choice from several options like chicken.

I had the shrimp peanut noodle dish and the pot stickers. The only thing I didn’t care for was the pot stickers, they were deep fried. The noodle dish was tasty and it had a little heat to it. Friendly staff.

Good food but slow as paint drying service. Waited for thirty minutes. Only ordered a teryaki bowl and Cali roll. Took forever!

My go to delivery resturaunt on vista. When I don’t feel like cooking but want something healthy the chicken teriyaki bowl is perfect. I love that the online ordering process is easy and you can customize. Price is good and food taste great.

Had the chicken bowl today. It hit the spot. I have been craving bento, and this place looks promising. I want to go back and try everything on the menu. Prices are very reasonable, and it is very laid back but clean. I would recommend this for a quick lunch, or a relaxed dinner. Update 1÷30÷15: This is my go-to bento place in Boise, and really one of my favorite casual dining restaurants in general. Very excited they opened one downtown.

Great place for good fast teriyaki. Steamed veggies are also yummy. I’ve never had a negative experience with the staff. Super tasty and definitely one of my go-to places!

Like some of the other Unilocalers here, I am an Oregon transplant and found Yokozuna while I was craving Mashita’s(which I never knew was a chain until now). I agree, it certainly is no comparison to Mashita’s, but it’s still a good little joint. I’m always impressed at the diversity in Boise, seeings as it’s not that large. I ordered online and grabbed it on my way home. I got what I alwaaaays get from Mashita’s: Beef Yakisoba with no veggies. The staff wasn’t the friendliest, and it took her a few minutes to find my order. She even asked me if I had ordered from THAT store. Umm, yeah. The food was okay, not quite the flavor of Teriyaki I’m used to, and not nearly as much sauce as I’m used to. I hate to review Yokozuna on a comparison to Mashita’s, so I’m determined to stop in another time and get something different. I will report back then!

This place has become a permanent weekly fixture for me. I love their chicken teriyaki rice bowl! I’ve tired their peanut noodles not a big fan. I’m going to start venturing out and trying different things

One of my favorite places to eat at the Bench! Had the steak and shrimp bowl finished the whole thing and washed it down with a peach boba tea. You can either choose brown or white rice with the bowls and this rice is very good because it is sticky rice so it holds together really well. Not only was there steak and shrimp in the bowl they also include some mixed veggies. While you are there you have to get the boba tea! It comes in a lot of different flavors the one I chose was peach and it was amazing! Also called bubble tea because it has actual tapioca balls in there! You get a thicker straw so your able to pull them up. Really good! I recommend this place to anyone!

Yum! I don’t know what I haven’t been in this place before. Been twice in two days. Friday I had the peanut noodles with chicken. Really tasty and a generous portion. Lunch and a drink for under $ 10! Had to spicy beef onion bowl with brown rice. Not a at all spicy, but still really good and a very generous portion. Again, under $ 10. My friend had the beef/chicken/shrimp combo both times and she raved about it. Again — under $ 10. See a pattern? Good, filling food for not a lot of cash. It’s all good!

It was pretty good. Everyone was raving about it so I gave it a try. I had the chicken and steak my wife had the steak and onions. The food was decent but it going to take the time to pay to park and walk two blocks to spend $ 40 I would prefer matador. The kids love it if you’re already downtown give it a try.

Yokozuna Teriyaki never fails to satisfy my taste-buds. My «go-to» item is the Chicken Sweet Onion Bowl. They allow me to customize my order and let me say«Give it to me spicy, baby!». That’s one thing I LOVE about Yokozuna: they let you customize anything or alter anything on the menu to your preferences. Another great thing about Yokozuna is that they are quick in making your order, but it is very FRESH and made on the spot. It is also healthy: local veggies, option of brown or white rice, fresh sustainable meat choices such as pork, beef and chicken(as well as Tofu for you lovely vegetarians). It is a great portion size as well: very large for the great price. I always am excited to get Yokozuna to take home with me for leftovers later. Healthy, low calorie meals that ALWAYS satisfy with lots of flavor. They also just opened up a new location in the heart of downtown making it convenient to access. I would go out of my way in a heartbeat to go get me my Yokozuna, but I don’t even have to because the locations are so convenient. They offer great items like bubble teas(with around 50 flavors), rice bowls, noodle bowls, flanken ribs, and many other Asian inspired dishes that you can dream up. The taste is very clean and delicious. Always a taste bud pleaser!
