A hot little incubator in the near-west of downtown. A good spot to set up an office and get some thinking done. Kind of like the dry ice factory in that Talking Heads song. I’ve had very productive jam sessions with business partners there. In fact, another team from work showed up during lunch to play Foosball because they got hooked when they had their cloistered offsite crunch time away from the distractions of the mother-ship office. Prices for renting space are very affordable. The space is versatile. I’ve even seen a play performed in the big room. Just don’t be surprised if you find some of the rough edges of start-up land such as no soap in the bathroom. Ah that really takes me back to those Dickensian days, living and working in a warehouse on Internet ventures back in the ’90’s. I bet there are entrepreneurs in the Watercooler making the same mistake I did — don’t try to live on Powerbars and coffee.
