One more update. The waitress must have prevailed with her manager because the price that was charged through my bank was at the correct price. So, there IS that. I emailed the establishment and never heard back from them.

For 15 years, I have routinely visited the Stage Stop while traveling back and for to Boise from Twin Falls. In that time I have watched the menu bloat, the portions dwindle, and the prices spin wildly upward. This is unfortunate, as it gradually has become less of your down-home truck stop and more of a good candidate for Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. The food and service are still pretty good, but my concern for new cooks being able to adequately prepare the entire menu is growing. And the prices… whew. I can understand a certain amount for inflation, but quality and portion size do not justify in many cases. Please, guys, put the brakes on and reassess your approach, before you end up another mediocre fuel stop with a closed restaurant.

free Horse corrals. one of the nicest truckers lounges in the industry, big very clean showers some of which(you can ask for one) have very large bathtubs in them. the food is a bit expensive in the restaurant, but such is the industry. free horse corrals for anyone hauling horses, let them poor buggers out to stretch their legs while you get a nice sit down meal.

Hadn’t planned on stopping here but got stuck in a huge traffic jam and decided to check it out. Glad we did! Clean bathrooms, nice staff, and the food was better than your usual greasy spoon but not too fancy. I had the grilled cheese & tomato soup. The grilled cheese was just the right balance of crispy and buttery and the soup was hearty. Definitely worth a stop!

Hubbie and I hit the place on our way back from a SLC road trip. I’ve read the other reviews about $$. I can not comment on the prices. I don’t think I have ever eaten at an official truck stop so I can’t say they are pricey. My husband and I had breakfast for lunch which quite frankly is a little on low cost side. The good: they make their own breads, rolls, pies, cakes etc. They also have a garden and grow local veggies. I have no historical information of what the place was like in the past or changes that have occurred. I was surprised at the quality of the food and felt the prices/ambiance/service was on par for a diner.

I’ve lived in this area for almost 40 years and seen allot of changes to this TRUCKSTOP. It used to be the best truck stop in the whole N.W. For years it steadily went down hill. It’s just in the last year that it was fixed up and allot of inventory was replenished. Not sure way but there fuel price have always been higher than any one else in the valley. As a independent truck driver usually a independent station(not a chain like a Pilot or Flying J) should be cheaper. That’s way I take my business elsewhere. NOWHERE’S THEIMPORTANTSTUFF. …The food… nice restaurant. .but so sinking expensive. 10.00 to 13.00 for a burger. The whole menu is that way. Come on it’s a truck stop. Truckers can’t afford to eat here. I know I won’t and LOTS of other people I know.

While on an extended RV trip, we pulled into a truck stop for fuel and decided to grab some lunch. We’ve been in truck stops before — generally, they are«greasy spoon» joints, with décor that’s a little rough around the edges and«okay» food. The Boise Stage Stop was a pleasant surprise. It was pretty obvious this one had recently undergone some updating. The renovations included nice restrooms, new tables, and generous new coats of paint and decorations. The menus were also crisp and new… Not the worn, food-spattered affairs you’re afraid to touch like so many of these places have. And the silverware… Spotless and brand new. We were met immediately and seated by our friendly server, Marcella. A cheery youngster with a great smile and attitude to match. I ordered the sirloin tips over white rice, with veggies and cornbread, while the wife ordered the burrito«special», with bean sides and green chili sauce. It also came with chips, salsa, and the works. The sirloin tips were served in a rich, brown gravy, covered with freshly sautéed mushrooms and onions. The dinner roll was sort of a half-corn bread deal… The portions were generous and everything was very tasty — just what the doctor ordered. Our food was terrific and our server, Marcella, very efficient, attentive, and friendly. We will absolutely add this place to the«favorites» list of roadside eateries.

This review is only for the non existent truck wash. Don’t be fooled by the 10 foot by 75 foot truck wash sign. There is no truck wash.

¾ of the pumps were out of order. The rest room was dirty. The entrance to the store was very narrow and congested. The price of gas was 10 cents higher than the exit East of them.

It’s a truck stop with lots of goodies like a display in the restaurant called«Aeroponics Garden.» They grow herbs in it that they use in the cooking. :) Lots of old west memorabilia everywhere you look.

The waitress was nice and did her job well. We ordered wings and breakfast for dinner after a full day of driving to SLC from Portland, OR. The breakfast was great, biscuits and gravy, excellent! The buffalo wings… not good; I would not recommend them. They do sell a lot of interesting things(clothing, gifts, jewelry, games, etc.) in the shop, plus bottles of wine, but no Powerball lottery tickets. I would go again if ever in the area.

Good food, terrible service. I would like to give four stars for the food, but the service was so bad I have give the restaurant three stars overall. The server took our order and didn’t write anything down. At first I thought that was pretty impressive, but when my friend got his eggs over-easy instead of scrambled and I had no side to dip my Monte Cristo in, I was not impressed. We ran out of water and tried to get a refill, when she finally noticed a wave, she acted annoyed that we wanted more water and slammed the cups down. I have lower expectations of service at a truck stop since I’m not a trucker, but this place sunk below my lowered expectations. Come for the great food and leave when you can’t stand the service.

This is our favorite stop on trips to and from Boise. Service is outstanding(Marcella is our favorite waitress) it is clean and the food is simple and delicious. They cater to truckers and travelers and this place is certainly worth the drive!
