They close at 12am. Don’t go in at 10 expecting a meal but only the happy hour was available the server from the other table seemed to view me more as an inconvenience then anything and was rude He seemed more interested in the table that had 6 drunk young woman than me. He told me that the other server would be over much later she came over and at this point I ordered something to go as I did not feel welcome what so ever. tired of looking for a place and ordered it to go so I don’t have to continue to sit here and they still have two hours till closing

We’ve now been here a couple of times and compared to the Meridian one I like it much better. To start with I really wish I could give half stars because while it’s good I am not sure it deserves 4 stars! the atmosphere is good, nicely decorated, lots of seating, and clean. The food is ok, its not fantastic or the best thing I’ve eaten but I haven’t ever come away unhappy. I think their prices are a tad high for what they offer! However we’ve always had excellent service at this location. All in all its a good place to go for a bite to eat but whatever you do don’t be in a hurry, regardless of whether or not they are packed or empty they seem to take a while to get the food out typically 35 – 45 minutes, which when busy is understandable but when there’s only 2 tables in the restaurant seems excessive

We came up for graduation and were looking for a restaurant with beer and found the Ram. The entire family was impressed with the burgers. The beer was good and the fries were excellent. The service was on point and we’d go back if we ever come back to town.

I use to come here for games and to meetup with friends until I had a run in with a couple of there delinquent employees(Ron H and Kristy M). There former dog fighting Pitbull attacked my small dog over the summer for no reason whatsoever. The vet bill was around $ 550 and didnt hear one word from either one. I obviously couldve taken them to small claims court but took the higher road since I dont want anything more to do with them. If I had employees like that at my business they’d be out of a job. Ill be taking my business to place where I’m respected by respectful people. Wont be hanging out here or going to this bar anymore.

Oh RAM… how you so disappointed this evening. I ordered the French Dip but received it minus the au jus. Called just to confirm this dish did normally come with an au jus and was offered the opportunity to drive back 20+ minutes back into town to pick it up. Yeah, no thanks. I thankfully had some horseradish and sour cream on hand to make the sandwich a little less dry.

Food was okay, but the staff and policies left much to be desired. Our server was less than pleasant, ignoring us half the time and frowning at us the rest. They refuse to play anything but Boise State games ok ALL televisions if the game is on. We wanted to finish the last 5 minutes of another game, but they refused. The table next to us had an altercation with the manager as well, and«the customer is always right» was definitely not his policy. He argued with them for five minutes about a glass of wine. I was rather underwhelmed by my burger, but could have overlooked that if not for everything else. I’ll think twice before coming back here.

What’s NOT to love about The Ram? Hit it in the summertime – I think they have the BEST patio(not to mention a RIVERSIDE patio) in all of Boise. With great food, fun drinks, an an atmosphere that’s always«on,» it’s just hard to beat… except for maybe that it’s downtown. But hey, then there’s the Ram – saving the day yet again – with the introduction of their Meridian location. Win, win, win. Food: I love the food at The Ram. Their nachos are sky high(so is the mile high mud pie!) and so good. They have daily soups that are always thick and hearty. Their burgers are also always really well-cooked and taste great. My husband often orders the wings, while I usually get the salads or something from their lighter fare menu. The armadillo eggs are really tasty as well! Honestly, the food is hard to beat. If you’re a mac and cheese fan, give it a shot. It’s very rich and creamy, so bring a hearty appetite. If you like chips & salsa, ask for it! It’s not on the menu but they’ll bring it right out! Drinks: From their house-brewed beers to their crafted cocktails, there is no shortage of drinks. I really like their«skinny» drink menu, and think the lemon drop is great. Don’t be surprised if you get a loaded toothpick of olives if you ask for a dirty martini. This place knows how to hook it up! Also, for the non-drinkers, their hot chocolate is excellent. Atmosphere: I LOVE the atmosphere at The Ram. It has a great bar area and is very good for watching sports, no matter where you’re sitting in the restaurant. The tables are well spaced, the lighting is dim and elegant, and the volume is loud but fun. I like how they have a good mix of booths and tables and have the ability to accommodate large parties. Service: Always fast and reliable. Nicolette in the bar is our favorite! Happy Hour Offerings: Daily food and drink specials. Well drinks, beers and 6 oz wine pours for just $ 3.50? Now that’s awesome. They also have a good food happy hour menu with some of their most popular items for super-cheap prices. Healthy Hack: I almost always order from the gluten free or lighter fare menu. I usually get the blackened salmon with two sides of steamed veggies, opting to leave the quinoa off my plate. You can also try the soups, which are nice and hearty but low on cals. I feel like The Ram offers a very diverse menu for clean and/or picky eaters. Tips: If you like chips & salsa, ask for it! It’s not on the menu but they’ll bring it right out!

If you want a sports bar, you shall get a sports bar. Nothing special, food is always pretty good, and of course drinks… well you can get those too. Don’t come here on a budget, everything is overpriced.

In Boise for the week from phila and wanted to catch the Eagles/Washington game… was pleasantly surprised to see it on the large screen over the bar… we settled in and started out with the wings… and hummus plater… wings were good though rather small… but the sleeper is the hummus platter… they really don’t do it justice on the menu… hummus was perhaps the tastiest I’ve ever had… period…plenty of warm flat beard they called it… pickled onions and cucumbers… peppers…carrots…absolutely amazing… if I’d just had the hummus it’d be a 4 star rating… next up was the chicken tortilla soup which was very thin with just a hint of good flavor… and a hot dog wrapped and cooked in a pretzel dough… I think… cooked a tad to long. Did love that hummus platter though!

Went here on GAMEDAY!(we are out of towner’s) We ordered a cosmopolitan $ 11:50 and a glass of their best Sauvignon Blanc $ 9:50 to our surprise they were served in plastic glassware! We inquired about this and was told«that’s since its game day everything is served in plastic» plenty good! However they had no issue serving beer in bottles! Asked again and was told the same answer! Really? Might seem like a petty issue, but the whole experience felt cheap! Probably should have sent it back, but we were dumbfounded when the drinks were left at the table and the waitress walked away! Meanwhile other guests had glassware at there table, when asked about that, we were told they had been there from earlier!!! When inquiring with the manager again got the same answer, but was offered a glass(stemless) after the fact!!! Food was mediocre! Will not return!

The beer here was surprisingly delicious, I had the amber and the pale ale, and greatly enjoyed both of them. The entry way is gorgeous, styled like an old theater. Inside however, there is some cool décor but not much more than you’d find in an generic chain pub and grill. The food was good, but definitely not great. I tried one of their salads, which was standard and similar to most house salads. The BBQ chicken quesadilla left me disjointed however. It wasn’t bad. However a basic chicken quesadilla with some BBQ sauce and sour cream drizzled on it doesn’t particularly knock you away, nor did it take much to make to demand a ten dollar price point. This place is great, if you go however, I highly recommend sticking to their focus of beer! Cheers!

We came here on a Sunday around 11:30 and the(huge) patio was empty. We got to pick a seat closest to the water & we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I ordered a lunch combo. Chicken caesar wrap & a bowl of clam chowder. Both were really good. There was so much chicken in my wrap — I was impressed. I figured it would be mostly lettuce. It was a bit of a hungover lunch so I did not try any cocktails. We want to come back next time for dinner & drinks. Well done!

I have been here twice and both times it was a success. The servers are quick and friendly when I asked them questions. There’s a nice patio on the back side to enjoy the weather and good food. I had armadillo eggs to start which where really good with shredded chicken and jalapeños. And I ended with there bourbon black burger which was jam with onions and blue cheese and a sweet sauce. I personally thought it was alright but my experience was over all great. I would come here to check out other menu items.

Went out for dinner with friends and had a great time. I’m veggie, and they’ve got a good variety of salads to choose from, which was awesome. The vegetables were super fresh and I appreciated the dressing on the side. I didn’t get bread with the salad, which I was looking forward to, but that’s a minor detail. My friend got the chicken strips and sweet potato fries and they came out fresh and hot, although we were certain they were frozen, industrial Sysco product rather than hand breaded. My other friend had a grilled ham and cheese with onion rings and really liked it. It was far more food than she could eat. Prices here are pretty high: $ 10 for a salad, and $ 4 more if you wanted one with chicken or another protein on top. Appetizers are $ 6 to $ 9, which is a lot in my mind. They do offer some fun choices like fried pickles, which are great and crispy with a spicy dipping sauce. Desserts are great too. The giant mud pie they offer is an embarrassment if you order it, but totally delicious and the sort of indulgence you need when you go out for a night of burgers and beers. I’d highly recommend saving room for a sweet at the end of your meal. Service is brusque. They want you in and out, even though there are usually empty tables. I think they assume people are here for quick meals, but when people want to hang out and talk it’s nice not to be interrupted every two minutes to see if you’re ready to order. We were catching up and not paying attention to the menu, and our server came by and pestered us until we gave up on talking and ordered. There were plenty of open tables, so we weren’t taking up valuable real-estate for our server, and it seemed rude. He also got our check dropped without asking about dessert, or if we wanted it split. We gave a 15% tip, which I never do – but he didn’t even really earn that. Overall, the food is okay, the prices are high, and the service is mediocre. I do like the broad variety they offer on the menu, they’ve got a great selection of beers, and it’s a friendly and comfortable place to hang out. In the summer if you can sit on the patio out by the river, that’s an awesome experience. I’d recommend that if you have warm weather.

The Ram is pretty reliable. They have good beer and good burgers. They have enough TV’s for NFL game day, which is key. The staff is nice and it’s pretty affordable. I’d be back.

How I heard of this place: About a decade ago, I was first introduced to the Ram by a group of friends attending the University of Washington. A late night meal for the UW students meant a trip to the University Village and the Ram. I swore to never return. My husband’s business trip detracted us and we were back… this time in Boise. Type of cuisine: «We are all about great food, ice-cold hand-crafted beer and creating memories, and we have been for over 40 years… In 1995, we began brewing our own beer and contributing to the successful evolution of the craft beer industry… As we approach our 44th anniversary, the future is promising. We look forward to bringing our innovative menus and award winning beer to new communities while continuing to craft memories with our amazing team members and guests.» Ambiance: Sports. Bar. With a gorgeous outdoor patio along the Boise Greenbelt. What I ordered: Happy Hour running for a full fifteen more minutes, we selected a handful of deep fried goodies to enjoy. Among them, the newest menu item: Corn Dog Lollipops($ 5.49), house-made and served with beer mustard, Load’em Up Waffle Fries($ 4.99), Buffalo Style with gorgonzola, mozzarella, wing sauce, and the Chicken Caesar Salad($ 4.99). My husband also indulged in The Faburgé, or what he termed, «The Fatburger», named after the famed«Fabergé» egg, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner in every bite! A seasoned burger patty, cheddar, sliced ham, hickory smoked bacon, fried egg, onion crisps and mayo, served with a side of fries. What I loved: The corn dogs were surprisingly satisfying, but I could really only eat one«pop». The Caesar salad pungent with dressing and an abundance of Parmesan. A burger with a fried egg — completely reminiscent of my time in New Zealand. Why I loved it: Fast. Food. The end to an eight-hour road trip. Cost: Average($ 9.99 — $ 13.99 per burger entrée)

Being the negative Nancy that I am, I want to give this place two stars. However, I have to give The Ram credit for being really, really consistent. You get what you expect here and that’s more than a lot of gourmet places can pull off. My complaints are as follows: the beer just isn’t really my style, so I don’t think it’s that great; my burger came out well-done when I asked for medium-rare; I got the tiniest amount of fries, which are so cheap I don’t know why anyone would skimp on that; my wife’s sweet potato fries were literally sweet and tasted as if they had been seasoned with both cinnamon and sugar; and, finally, for $ 10 my burger seemed pretty stinking small, compared to my expectations. However, our server was(and typically has been) really sweet, friendly and attentive. They also know when to leave you alone so you can just enjoy your meal. The beer is absolutely passable, fairly affordable and, sometimes really cheap(during happy hours and game specials). Like I said, the food is really consistent and that makes me happy knowing I can expect what to receive. The bar has a great number of big screens and seats /booths arranged in a way that I can watch more than one game at a time(Sunday night football, plus the Giants’ game… hell yes!). I wouldn’t expect to be blown away here, but I would expect a solid evening with few complaints. Do stay way from the sweet potato fries, unless you’re expecting something verging on dessert.

We pulled into town around 9pm after being on the road for almost 6 hours. This being our first time in Boise we Unilocaled to see what was around. Since it was a Sunday night, there wasn’t much open and after a little driving around we found the Ram. To be fair, my BF and I were both a little worn out and probably not as chipper as we normally are, and I’m not sure if our server was picking up on that and matching our energy, or if he is just naturally a less chipper individual. Not rude mind you, just not particularly warm. The BF got the meatloaf and I opted for some wings and a side salad with Ranch. The meatloaf was great, and the BF reported that it was probably one of the best restaurant meatloafs he has ever had. The side salad was… A side salad, but I did find myself wanting at least 3 times more Ranch than the small cup it came with. The wings(which I ordered naked) we pretty great. They were very hot and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. There was a little bit of a glitch with my first plate of wings which I didn’t even notice until after I had eaten my first drumstick. Right on the edge of the otherwise clean white plate there appeared to be a drop of what at first glance looked disturbing like blood. When I showed my server he didn’t seem overly concerned, and said that he was pretty sure it wasn’t blood, but that he would be happy to switch them out for me. The second plate was squeaky clean and I enjoyed the rest of wings… Even if I was too afraid to ask for more Ranch. I did catch a glimpse of one of the burgers and it looked pretty darn awesome… If that helps any.

This is similar to a Friday’s type of restaurant with outdoor seating with a tad more ‘color’ to the menu. I ordered the Mahdi Mahdi fish tacos(pan seared instead of fried) which came with black beans and rice. It was delicious! My first fish taco so I may be biased but I would def do it again!
