I’ve always gone to RadioShack for DIY electronic equipment but it’s been a while since I’ve used them. I recently needed some equipment that I wasn’t sure I could find just anywhere so I gave this location a call to see if they had what I needed. When I called, after many rings someone finally answered and then their fax machine turned on and we couldn’t talk. Called again and the same result. First thing that crossed my mind is, who still has a fax machine on their business line? Second, the tech store I’ve always counted on had someone working that couldn’t figure out how to switch between the phone and the fax. Poor old RadioShack, struggling with old technology, why would I ask them for help with new tech? By the way, surprisingly, Best Buy had what I needed. Good luck RadioShack but I can’t imagine you surviving in this environment with that kind of help.

I don’t know what has happened at this location in the last year, but my last visit was a bit of a disappointment. In the past I’ve encountered extremely helpful and courteous staff who have answered my questions, not talked to me like I’m an idiot and have made the entire experience a joy. However when I was there for some replacement headphones a couple of weeks ago I felt ignored, overlooked and like I was interrupting the gentleman who finally rung up my purchase. If I could locate my receipt I’d be contacting corporate.
