We spent $ 30 on food and asked for some water. They charged us for water. Enough said!

So yummy. Perfect every time. Best sides. Love that the spicy garlic shrimp are available right now. Quick drive through even though it is all cooked up fresh. I will be back! Sure wish there was another location closer to Meridian and Eagle.

4 stars is the highest I will give a chain fast food place, no way should they compare to fancy dine in as Chandlers and get the same 5 stars.(Now the review) When I am looking for a fast fresh lunch with fried chicken as the star I have to choose Popeyes. For under $ 10 the value and amount of food you receieve is perfect for a quick meal. My go to is the #5 which is 3 fresh hand breaded chicken strips fried to order and cooked to perfection. The buscuits can be hit or miss, if you are ever so lucky enough to receive one from a fresh batch it is incredible. They are hot, buttery, and melt in your mouth. As with all combos you are allowed a small side and you can never go wrong with Popeyes mashed potatoes and Cajun spiced gravy. Their truly is nothing that comes close to the flavor blend. The service is usually spot on and the GM Tony is a great guy who’s standards no doubt keep this establishment at the top of so many people’s list. I am willing to pay a few more bucks for fresh fried chicken despite KFC’S many marketing campaigns to get you to come back to eat their fried, frozen, then fried again chicken.

Good, but why so expensive? Almost twice as much as any other Popeyes I’ve been to in the past.

Been awhile, but it felt like a fried chicken kind of night. OK, the real reason is that I had a coupon. But, it still is the best fried chicken in taste and crunch. Biscuits and red beans and rice make a great accompaniments. The service is quick and cordial. What amazes me is that there is only one store in the entire area. So until they get a Bojangles here. Popeyes sets the high bar for fried chicken in the Boise area.

Good food, but slow service and the prices aren’t exactly cheap. However, if you’re after great tasting chicken then this is the place to try.

Love their chicken strips! They’re super crunchy but not at all greasy, which I like. I’ll admit that the prices are a bit higher, although some box dinners are still cheaper than their competition. The only little annoyance: they only offer seasoned fries. So, I get my chicken strips there and drive across the street to Burger King for regular fries.

Great popcorn chicken. They are currently remodeling but looks like they will be finished soon. Always have has just average customer service. Drive thru does take a lil longer then most places but I feel the good is more fresh

Hard to go wrong here, everything tastes great and comes out fresh and hot. At least the many times I’ve stopped in and that leads to the one point against this place. Drive through can take a few minutes longer than most places, always comes out piping hot but can be an issue when you are in a hurry.

I’ve eaten at Popeye’s in Boise since the days when they had a second outlet on Orchard Street. I“m sad they’re not there any more Best fast-food chicken in town. Makes it easy to forget that other place with«Fried» in their name. Order the spicy chicken. It’s the best. The Cajun rice is good and their gravy is flavorful. The biscuits aren’t nearly as good as in the old days when I suspect they probably used lard. They’re not bad, though. I’ve eaten at Popeye’s throughout Oregon and in Chicago and I’ve never been charged for a cup of water. But this one does. Can’t understand that after ordering a meal. Go back to giving out free water and I’ll give you a fifth star.

Luv me some Popeye’s Chicken. Good food quality. Excellent fried chicken, very good red beans and rice and the biscuits are yummy. They are expensive this location is the only franchisee in Boise and has to pay shipping cost of all the proprietary items from Atlanta GA. The food is really slow cooked with care and made like food in New Orleans. Try the spicy chicken!

This was my first trip to Popeye’s and I doubt I’ll go back, since I’m not into spicy chicken. I went specifically for their crawfish, which was being advertised all over the television, only go find a sign on the drive thru order board that it was not available in Boise because it is a ‘regional special’. Um hi. if it’s REGIONAL then say so in your commercials, and since when can a chain restaurant, which rarely buys anything local, NOT have an item shipped in? You’re not telling me that there isn’t a processing plant in the United States that freezes and ships crawfish? This wasn’t for whole, in shell crawfish, but for shelled portions. I wound up with chicken dippers, which were tasty, and the biscuit was okay. however they forgot my coleslaw. Not a good first experience for me, but I hear their chicken(which may well be purchased locally) is very tasty.

–Food: **4.5 stars –Atmosphere: **2.5 stars –Service: **3 stars I love their Spicy Fried Chicken! I am a dark meat guy, so I get the Leg and Thighs. –Spicy Fried Chicken Consistency: very good if I ask for the Chicken from the back, otherwise the chicken that has been in the heat lamp for a while is not as good. It is one of the best fried chicken I’ve had. The fried chicken comes in either mild or spicy flavor, and I love my spicy! It’s crispy on the outside, seasoned well inside, and the meat is tender and juicy. In my opinion, much better than KFC’s. Tips: Ask for the chicken from the back of the pan, those are the freshest coming out from the fryer. Goes very well with a side of Red Bean and rice. I believe Tuesdays they have a dark meat special for less than $ 2.

I love fried chicken and I love Popeye’s. When I was in Boise and craved fried chicken this Popeye’s represent for me. Chickens were fresh(not raw, what I meant was FRESHFRIED). It was crunchy with a kick. Red beans & rice was delicious and pair it with Sweet Iced Tea = heaven for Olivia T. I will be back to this Popeye whenever I’m in Boise and in the mood for crispy fried chicken. Oh yeahhhhh FRIEDDDCHICKIIINNNN!!!

They might be serving crack here. It is so addictive. I ate her on mon, wed, and yesterday. I love their mash potatoes, I love their biscuits, I love their spicy chicken. Little Nicki was right about this place, how did I not check this place out before. I have to work out an extra hour everyday so I can eat here. ha ha. If you love fried chicken definitely try it spicy, it’s really good.
