I cant eat gluten so iwas happy to find this joint in the Boise airport thats where happy endedTh service was terrible couldnt remember from one item to the next what i was ordering. Then i got my $ 18 twin tacos and chips. Tacos were loaded with refried beans and a dab of the fish i was paying for. The whole thing was jammed into a styrofoam box so the tacos fell apart. The chips are terrible. Thier salsa is super sweet. I do not recommend you waste your money here. Bad in every way possible

So sad… That I would recommend mcdonalds next door than this place… I got the fish taco and steak enchilada combo. $ 11.99 plus an «honest tea» bottle for $ 3.39. Fish tasted like very old, dry fish from a can. Enchilada tasted like those frozen banquet meals. Rice was kinda stale, refried beans was just lard with a brown tint. Pros: they have an «a la cart» with a mix of salsas and onions/cilantro/jalapeño As I was eating this«food» at the airport I began to look around and envy everyone else’s food. Everyone looked so happy… As I finished as much of my meal as I could, I got up and accidentally stepped on a French fry on the ground… I felt so much remorse. I never regretted not getting mcdonalds before…

Meh. Edible. Acquired calories without getting upset. «Maui» theme is odd given fast-food Mexican fare. Think Taco Bell menu/quality for Chipotle prices. Typical for an airport. Just keep your expectations realistic. Portion was decent for what it’s worth.

The food is ok. The portions are nice. I had the Lahana wet burrito. They have a salsa bar so you can dress your burrito in many different ways. My concern is the lack of consistent service. I have been here several times now and the service ranges from good to poor. The prices are reasonable for airport food.

O M G Seriously. Airport food is airport food, but i threw this out. Staff was indifferent. I got 2 fish tacos. Seemed pretty straight forward. I ended up with basically tuna fish on a tortilla. Gross. Salsa bar was interesting. 2 a-la-cart tacos came with chips, and the maui part of the taco was tasty — slaw and sauce, and beans… but the«meat» gross. I branched out cause my normal location closer to my gate was super busy — next time i’ll just wait for that place.

I can count the number of places inside of an airport that I look forward to eating at on one hand so I normally grade them easily on Unilocal. However this is some of the worst airport food I have ever had. Don’t just stay away, run away. I got a «Steak bowl». The rice tasted old, the beans were hard, the meat was overcooked and crazy salty, and the chips tasted stale. The meal was not cheap either. Stay away. I never thought I would say recommend a McDonalds over another place but even McDonalds is better than this establishment.

Airport food. It’s the best way I know to describe it. It’s everything you hope you won’t get when you take a chance and step up to the counter right before gate B. This time you’ll regret it more than you ever thought you would. The staff is nice enough, it’s Boise so c’mon. They try really hard, but you’re not going to get a grade A effort here unfortunately. The cook didn’t seem to understand that I just wanted beans instead of meat with my nachos. They then proceeded to dump the beans on one side of the plate full of chips and then sprinkle a light topping of cheddar cheese before nuking it to death in a microwave. I don’t use a microwave to cook at home, I sure don’t want to pay an outrageous amount for $ 2 nachos that have then been killed by this machine. But, that’s what happened. I could go on, but why? Just avoid this place. It really will rip you off. At least they use real cheese. That’s the only good thing I can say.

Not even worth of 1 star! Worst place ever. Its not that hard to cook descend mexican food. I think they are trying to rip off people money who just pass by it. Don’t do it!

That was the saltiest meal I have ever had. The steak did not taste like real meat and my wife’s chicken was rubbery. My wife and I had gone out to Boise for a meeting. We had about an hour before our flight and thought we would grab something to eat. This was the wrong choice. I would have preferred Quiznos which is right next door.

After an intense inspection by our nation’s biggest waste of resources: TSA; I rejoined my group at Maui’s Tacos for a quick bite before we jumped on the plane. I ordered a custom burrito because I am picky. I think it was a grilled fish burrito with rice and beans, probably nothing else since most Mexican food has little to no actual vegetables, and Im not a fan of raw onions or avocados. The fish was good, rice was ok, beans were whole beans I believe, no refried authentic mex out in Boise. But it wasnt bad, the service was actually pretty good, and they had a salsa bar which is essential for any Mexican food dining experience! Basically, not a bad place for being in an airport!

My rating is strictly about the food at this Boise Airport QSR. I had the Maui fish taco combo plate. Really bland fish tacos with an over abundance of runny cole slaw. The salsa from the salsa bar was smokey flavored but didn’t do anything to help the tacos. The accompanying Mexican rice was not edible so it remained on the plate and the black beans were under cooked but had a hint of cilantro flavor which made them the best part of the plate. Only eat here if you are in a rush and are really hungry.

I loved this place. I got the vegetarian tacos and they were delish! You can have hard shell or soft shell– I went with hard. On the tacos were rice, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. The black beans were drained to avoid a soggy mess and the taco was hot, which was nice. Often veggie meals are always cold. l You also get extra tortilla chips and there is a salsa bar. Worth the $ 3.48

Been to Maui Tacos in Kihei a couple times and have enjoyed their food. Not so at the Boise Airport. Ordered a fish taco while waiting for a flight back to SEA. The fish was buried under a mass of slaw that gushed(not dripped) liquid each time I picked up the tortilla. The whole thing was overly salty. Very disappointing. Guess I had unrealistic expectations; it was airport food, after all.(Should have read Rob M’s review before I went.)

Really needed some chow before heading out on plane. Choices were limited but Maui Tacos looked promising. I asked the young gal for recommendation and she told me the fish tacos were really good. Ok fish tacos is one of my favorite so I took the plunge. It was quite expensive for the meal I got. The black beans were obviously over salted canned beans. The rice was a tablespoon of over cooked dry blah. The softshelll tacos were so overly packed with the slaw that it was hard to actually taste the fish in it. Once I tasted the fish it wasn’t bad. I would not recommend the fish tacos there and would be leary of anything else on the menu from that experience
