Leaf Teahouse

I have been to the Leaf tea house about 5 times now. My first experience was when my daughter played music on the upper level and I was able to enjoy the British scones with clotted cream… and thus began my love affair with the Leaf tea house! On my next visit I tried their mushroom mélange sandwich because it was recommended to me on my last visit. And thus I discovered yet another food item I love at the Leaf. The owner Susan is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She has a huge assortment of teas and prides herself on the quality of everything she serves and sells. If you you find a tea you really enjoy she can pack as many ounces of it dry loose leaf as you want to take home and enjoy later. Our third visit we did tea time upstairs and it was fantastic!!! The other thing I love is how cheap this place is, it will not break your pocket book. It’s all vegan and healthy so you don’t worry about expanding your waistline either. They do various musical performances from local artists so check the calendar and enjoy the ambiance! This place has definitely become my zen zone to enjoy great food, tea and music! I hope you like it as much as I do. :-)

I enjoyed an afternoon of the monk’s blend tea along with a spread of finger sandwiches, scones, and other sweet desserts. A lovely place!

I adore this place! They expanded their menu a few months ago, and now we go there regularly. Friendly staff, everything is delicious, great hours.

Had a great little tea party here one Saturday. The food and tea were both delicious. Try the house blend chai with a little milk and sweetner. They even took a great group picture of us!

Vegan cookies and treats. I was quite anxious and came into this little tea shop. Comfy seats, personalized service. I smelled the smelly teas, drank it at a comfortable table with my little pot of jasmine. Highly recommend.

Food is delicious, tea selection is amazing and the smiling faces working there complete the experience. Have had a couple of the sandwiches and they were amazing. My favorite thing there is the scone with the vegan clotted cream. Seriously mind blowing! Oh, and the only all vegan place in the Treasure Valley. Well done!

This little tea house is a quaint place to pick up an iced tea on a warm day downtown. The customer service was nice and the lady was great about making recommendations and the tea was good. The only downside to this place is that there’s not much seating. Otherwise, it’s a nice spot for some tea!

This is my new favorite lunch spot! In addition to wide selection of tea, they actually have delicious, fresh and reasonably priced vegan food. I am not even a vegan and I love their food. I highly recommend the mushroom mélange sandwich and the Middle Eastern salad. The teas have been pretty good too, but I honestly go here for the food. The service can be a little slow and inconsistent, especially if there is line. One solutions is to call your food order in ahead of time so that it is waiting for you when you arrive. I recommend going in for lunch and getting the three item combo – it’s $ 12.00 or thereabouts for three items (½ sandwich, small salad, cup of soup – in any combination) with a choice of tea of the day. The staff are very friendly, which is another bonus.

I love this place! It is my favorite downtown Boise lunch spot. The food is healthy and tastes amazing. There is a large selection of teas and the staff is well informed about the products. This is also one of the few places dt that does matcha. Can’t wait until my next visit.

When I first heard about this all vegan teahouse opening up I about lost my cool. I’ve been vegan since 2009 in Boise and the options are so limiting, Taj Mahal being the only other location with a good portion of the menu dedicated to vegan options.
Leaf Teahouse has a full vegan menu with amazing options and a well rounded loose leaf tea menu. This vegan restaurant isn’t like most you’d find in Portland or Seattle with a food list imitating meat incorporated dishes (don’t get me wrong though, those dishes are amazing). Leaf Teahouse does it right with a solid menu, great desserts and the best tea in town. I hope others spread the word so this spot can stay in business during Boise’s growing years.

Excellent food for a great price, oh & the tea is good too ! The Mediterranean salad dressing was delicious and I adore the mushroom/​shallot sandwich, very tasty. For the drive home I grabbed the best cupcake. There was so many tea choices it was hard to pick just one to try. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back.

Sweet store and customer service is amazing. The owner gave us a sample and answered every question we had.

Nice new tea place downtown. The owner was very helpful and they have several loose leaf teas available. I like that you can look through and smell the different tea leaves prior to ordering. We were told that they will be adding several food items to their menu, all vegan. I have been hoping for a tea place in the downtown area for a long time– so happy to finally have one!

A friend of mine told me to check this place out while in town. Nice folks running the place and helpful in selecting a tea (I’m a coffee guy). Great location and everything is vegan.
