Larry’s Tailor Shop

Larry's came highly recommended by Macy's. I left a suit pants for hemming at the end of June, but have not been able to pick it up as the shop is always closed. We live in Kuna and have been there 4 times this month. I called, no answer, can't leave a voicemail as box is full. I left a note last Tuesday asking for a call as to when he will be open so I can pick up my item. No call a week later. Is Larry OK? Is he on vacation? I need the pants for a wedding that is quickly approaching.

Good guy. Gave honest advice: saved money on one hem job. Gave good price on two other hemmings. Ready to work on my suits. Understands Napoli cut. Dry, serious, but accommodating and kind. Highly recommended.

I needed a new zipper put into a pair of suit pants on a Saturday. I called, they were open and within two hours had replaced the zipper. Tailor shops in Boise that are open on Saturday and that will accommodate an emergency is very unusual in my experience.
The service was great, friendly and the work was very good. I noticed that a few people mentioned his lack of service but the person I dealt with is not an American and his English is a little difficult to understand and I honestly feel like he may feel a little uncomfortable because of it. I’d forgotten my claim ticket at home and he couldn’t have been nicer about it and while not chatty, was very pleasant.
I was charged $ 11 for a zipper which seemed about right to me based on other alterations I’ve had done. I will definitely be taking my alterations here in the future.

Larry did a nice job for me on two garments that both needed zippers replaced. I was in no rush so I picked them up after a week. Customer service was not a strong suit as he almost looked put off that I was there. I thought the price was a bit high but the work looked great.

Very detailed and excellent work. He is very quiet, so don’t be off by his personality. Larry will tailor your clothes perfectly and in a very timely manner. Highly recommended.

Yes, Larry was not easy for me to understand, communication probably not his strongest feature. However, he was smiling/​pleasant in his demeanor towards me. Larry works out of his home, yet there were a steady stream of customers when I went there. Why? I’m guessing it’s because word gets around. As busy as Larry was, he had my jeans hemmed in 20 min, and he did such a good job that they looked as though they had come from the store that way. I will continue to use Larry, and I will recommend him to anyone in need of alterations.

I called Larry after I had an emergency zipper issue with my jeans. I was extremely pressed for time as I was traveling and leaving town in short order.
Larry replaced the zipper, did a great job, and charged a very fair price.
His customer service skills are unusual, but what do I care? He did a fantastic job!!!
