Golden Corral

This place always has the best food :) and it’s warm ! Never seen anything sitting out that’s old. Hey take pride in that food that’s what I like the best :)

This is not the Bellagio or Caesars’ in Vegas. BUT, it’s consistently pretty good chow. The key to ANY buffet is to be there when it’s buzy. The food is constantly being brought out. A big salad, nice piece of steak (they do have good steak usually), fried chicken and/​or fish, some cookies and ice cream and I’m full! Service is always good and prices are very reasonable. Sounds good to me.

The service was excellent. The food was really good. I was impressed with the array of desserts, and their savory food choices. Food quality was great! We had a really nice experience.

One good thing of Golden Corral restaurants, well, ones I been to! They having what I call different state foods, shall I say STATE FOODS! For example, Louisiana Bourbon Chicken (not sure right spell of Bourbon), Mississippi Meat Loaf, Idaho Baked Potato Soup, Kentucky (this not a joke) Fry Chicken! No I not rating Kentucky Fry Chicken the restaurant, there really is under this listing Kentucky Fry Chicken! Ah, and California Avocado wraps! Not sure what wraps are! I remember they wrap in foil, one has take away the foil to eating the food! Hey is from California, had try food of my home state, the GOLDEN STATE! Ha ha ha!
Most people go to All You Want To Eat place to try different foods they like! Me, at least at Golden Corral, I liking try different State Foods, ha ha ha! The joke seems be potatoes and Idaho, I still confused on that! Idaho is known as THE GEM STATE, not POTATO STATE! Their state gem is Garnet or Garnette! Boise the capitol of the state, very child friendly!
Maybe this not accurate rating for a restaurant, but as Server Eric (MARLIN FISH) at that Sacra hotel say to me so often, «Many your view points, your opinions are how child sees things, but they too honest! That what I liking about you! Supposedly there a GOLDEN CORRAL in Sacra area, I never find yet, is not close walking I not think of that Sacra hotel you knowing where, you knowing who, you knowing when!
Last, why people so much complain of All You Want To Eat places/​restaurants? If you wanting order from Pediatric menu, I do that a lot, then please do not go to All You Want To Eat place then complaining because you eat or you ate way too much food!

I’m not sure what came over me, I hate their awful dinner menu, why did I think breakfast would be any better! It’s really not that hard to cook bacon, make gravy for the biscuits, not over salt the hash browns and come get the plates off our table that is so clearly piling up! Thinking to yourself let’s go out to breakfast… Avoid golden corral for sure! That is if you like flavor.

Exactly what you would expect from a buffet style restaurant– a lot of everything you would want to eat. These guys do a great job of changing their menu and brining on new items. Staff is always friendly.

Always a favorite place to stop for a meal when in Boise. Good value, and a little something for everyone’s taste!

We have been going to this Golden Corral location for over 9 years and have never been disappointed. We have gotten to know the staff and management, who do all they can to ensure a great visit. We highly recommend this particular location.

This is simply the best place to eat anywhere in Boise Idaho I come here every day that I’m here. Wish they had these back in California I’ll be a fat pig if I had one of these Near me.

Blah food. Just keep driving. All things look old and had a «skin» over them. Just not a good deal

Terrible food. My boyfriend and I went in for lunch and decided to give it a chance. I’ll never step foot in here again. We couldn’t believe this place hasn’t been shut down yet. The Asian section looked at least a week old and nothing was edible. Not even the salad bar was fresh. They couldnt even get dessert right, the cheesecake was loaded with sugar and looked extremely old. Avoid this mess, you’ll be glad you did. Just terrible.

The quality is going downhill quickly. Very disappointing and quite possibly my last visit. Elements were good but overall not enjoyable

My husband were out and about and I offered to buy him lunch at Golden Corral which he was happy to accept lol, lunch was delicious I tried a little of everything got just to the point of full and hit the yummy desserts lol and those were oh so good!!:-)

Meh. Whatever you do, don’t pay for grub at 3PM with expectations things will be amazing by 4PM. Last time we came here we were super-​hungry at 3PM and rolled the dice. It seemed like the entire restaurant and all employees lost interest in helping anyone between 3PM and 4PM. No one filled the empty lettuce and other fixings at the salad bar and no one filled the meat at the grill. The service was foul enough to direct my buffet needs to one of the many other buffets in the area. Better luck next time Golden Corral…

Great service and the food was the best I have eaten at in the Golden Corral chain. I would definitely come back to this one.

Went back one more time only because I really missed the Elk Grove, California Restaurant. This time it was much much better. Food was fresh and the fried chicken was great. The price is great around $ 10.00… I will go back.

They have great steak! I loved their desserts they have so much like cotton Candy chocolate fountain and more. Its only $ 10.00 for kids 12 and under its a great deal. I will go back for sure.

Golden Corral is a buffet, it is what it is. You cannot walk into the place expecting anything more. My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday afternoon after seeing The Avengers. The selection of food was nice, though we miss the servers bringing hot rolls to the table, and we feel that items in the dessert area like the chocolate fountain, hard ice cream and cotton candy are excessive and have taken away from some of the desserts they used to offer– but that’s all a matter of taste.
There seemed to be a level of inattention going on in the food area, no one behind the counter to carve ham, and a few dishes remaining empty for a long time– but we’ve seen worse. One point I will make is that the current fish promotion is a little too much. Many people (like my husband) don’t care for fish, and when you take up half of your food space with one type off food, other dishes we usually count on seeing aren’t there. Overall, as I said, it is what it is, just go with the flow and you’ll be fine.

When I booked my trip to Boise, I told my friend (who lives there) that we had to go to Golden Corral. She had been once and was not impressed. By the time we left, she was converted. We probably devoured six rolls between the two of us (or maybe more than I’m willing to admit or can remember). It was Friday so they had my favorite pot roast. The variety was actually a bit better than I had remembered too. The only thing missing from my old GA Golden Corral was the red velvet cake but after all those amazing rolls, I have no complaints!

We come here because my husband really likes Golden Corral. I’m from Florida and that is where he first tried it. Cheap Buffets do not exist in Spain where he is from, so this is very exotic to him. It’s a bit hard for me, since I do not have the same metabolism.
He especially enjoys the Steak. I let him pick the stars and he chose 4. This particular restaurant was sad to me. We went early on a Sunday and there were just so many obese people, that it made me lose my appetite. It is just painful to see the role socioeconomics plays in obesity.
We will probably go again because where else can one get all-​you-​can-​eat steak for $ 10?
