Gaucho’s

WAY better than the other chain fast food places in the mall! This seemingly family owned place offers empenadas and Argentinian sandwiches. They also have some odd-​ball items on their menu such as an omelet and spaghetti. I would probably steer clear of those items, but we can atest that those sandwiches and empenadas are amazing! We shared the Milanese sandwich, which wasn’t too greasy (even though its fried), and their french fries. Spend your money here for good food, instead of giving to the big corporations and receiving okay food!

First time trying it. They have been open for 7 months. Super fresh. Fresh fries, fresh veggies ingredients. Will definitely be back!

A great mixup from the daily grind of common chain foods in the Mall. Tried their Lomito sandwich combo with fries. It was a filling but coupled with their homemade chimichuri sauce, it takes it over the top with great flavor! This is a family run business in the mall food court and I’m entirely surprised to find such good food here. Well worth a try if your feeling a bit food adventurous. Next time I come to the mall this will be the stop instead of Panda Express.

Our girlfriend was taking FOREVER at the nearby FOREVER 21 (sorry gurl). So while we waited, my gf and I decided to get a snack at Gaucho’s. We got two empanadas and fries. One empanada was chicken and the other was beef. Woah! These were the best empanadas I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of Argentinean empanadas! The beef was great, but the chicken was surprisingly delicious. which is crazy because chicken is never my first choice!
The food was cooked to order, so the food was nice and hot. The staff was very nice and friendly as well. If I was a local, I would be a regular! I would definitely recommend this spot. Thank you!

I am in town on a business trip for a week and I stopped by the mall to do some shopping. I stumbled across this gem in the food court. I have to say I was impressed with the food. It’s pretty tasty and the empanadas, especially, reminded me of my mom’s cooking. I ordered the empanadas tradicionales and the choripan. I told my friends who are local to Boise about this place and I will be sure to be back when I am in town again.

Yeah Gauchos. A taste of Argentina located in the Food Court at the Boise Mall.
There are Empanadas, Sandwiches, and Breakfast.
The empanadas are pretty big. Check out the picture from my daughter. There are several types that you can order including a mix and match for a combo that includes a drink and fries. My daughter chose the Caprese. I chose the Choripan sandwich. Let’s start with the Choripan. It’s on a half a baguette with a chorizo sausage butterfly sliced with Chimichurri sauce. It was very good and bad an authentic flavor. The Caprese empanadas has mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. They were hot and fresh. The combos come with a small drink and fries. The Lomito Steak combo looks outstanding. The Lomito comes with sliced steak, Mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and a fried egg on a French roll. Maybe next time as it looks huge. Instead of flying to Buenos Aires, simply go to the Boise Mall. It’s just as delicious and you will be supporting a family business.

Great Find on my trip to Boise! Stumbled upon this place while shopping at the mall in Boise. Took my parents here and they absolutely loved it. My Mom got the empanadas, my Dad got the choripan, and I got the Lomito sandwich. The food quality is awesome and the taste of the food is amazing. My Mom ended up ordering 2 more empanadas for the road. Definitely will be back next time I’m in the area.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! Fantastic food, even my picky 9 year old loves it. So excited to have something other than fast food choice. Delicious!!! Would even love to have them cater a party! Try it, you’ll love it! We sure did.

I had a real good ‘Milanese’ sandwich. This is just like what we enjoyed in a recent visit to Buenos Aires. NOT your standard mall food. Worth trying!
